The context is Wuhan in China, a city that implemented a 76-day lockdown in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on a sample of 187 short videos created and posted by Wuhan residents on Douyin (TikTok) during the lockdown, this paper answers this question - how did UGC creators produce short videos on social media to facilitate social connections with others? UGC creators' video-making practices are conceptualised in the typology of Evoking, Performing, Collaborating, and Narrating, and each practice enabled creators to connect and socialise virtually with others, thus contributing to all participants' social sustainability in a pandemic. This study contributes to media management scholarship by adding knowledge to the understanding of two areas: the productive role of media audiences, especially their content production practices and logics; the nature of short videos as media products.}, keywords = {RESIDENTS; Social media; SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY; LockDown; UGC; TikTok}, year = {2023}, orcid-numbers = {Feng, Songming/0000-0002-4645-2200; Berndt, Adele/0000-0002-6633-632X; Ots, Mart/0000-0002-0301-9765} } @article{MTMT:34311027, title = {Difficult heritage on social network sites. Situated at the intersection between heritage studies, memory studies, Holocaust studies, social media studies and digital heritage studies, a growing body of scholarly literature has been emerging in the past 10 years, addressing online communication practices on SNS. This study, an integrative review of a comprehensive corpus of 80 scholarly works about difficult heritage on SNS, identifies the profile of authors contributing to this emerging area of research, the increasing frequency of publication after 2017, the prevalence of qualitative research methods, the global geographic dispersion of heritage addressed, and the emergence of common themes and concepts derived mostly from the authors ‘home’ fields of memory studies, heritage studies and (digital) media studies.}, keywords = {Facebook; Twitter; YouTube; Instagram; social network sites; integrative literature review; difficult heritage; Contested heritage; dissonant heritage}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1461-7315}, pages = {3137-3164}, orcid-numbers = {Denisenko, Viktor/0000-0001-8646-3740; Dallas, Costis/0000-0001-9462-0478} } @article{MTMT:34142337, title = {Exploring travel blogs on tourism and landscape heritage. representations of the Swiss Alps}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34142337}, author = {Mele, Emanuele and Egberts, Linde}, doi = {10.1080/1743873X.2023.2237617}, journal-iso = {J HERITAGE TOURISM}, journal = {JOURNAL OF HERITAGE TOURISM}, volume = {18}, unique-id = {34142337}, issn = {1743-873X}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1747-6631}, pages = {785-806}, orcid-numbers = {Mele, Emanuele/0000-0003-1773-5030; Egberts, Linde/0000-0002-0076-1569} } @article{MTMT:33556473, title = {Exploring tourists’ experiences when visiting Petra archaeological heritage site. voices from TripAdvisor}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33556473}, author = {Olorunsola, Victor Oluwafemi and Saydam, Mehmet Bahri and Lasisi, Taiwo Temitope and Ozturen, Ali}, doi = {10.1108/CBTH-05-2021-0118}, journal-iso = {CONSUM BEHAV TOURISM HOSP}, journal = {CONSUMER BEHAVIOR IN TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY}, volume = {18}, unique-id = {33556473}, issn = {2752-6666}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2752-6674}, pages = {81-96} } @inproceedings{MTMT:32867016, title = {The Virtual Truth Versus the Real Image of the Museums.
