The strength of blockchain technology lies in its usage as an apt technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes; furthermore, it prevents the use of erroneous or obsolete data and allows sharing of confidential data securely. The use of superior technology in the execution and automation of business processes brings opportunities to rethink the specific process itself as well. Business processes modeling and verification are essential to control and assure organizational evolution, therefore, the aim of this paper is three-fold: firstly, to provide business process management patterns in finance, based on blockchain, specifically for the loan-application process in the banking industry and claim process in the insurance industry that could be used and customized by companies; secondly, to critically analyze challenges and opportunities from the introduction of such approach for companies, and thirdly, to outline how companies can implement the loan business process as a web service. Partner companies (a bank and an insurance company) formulated the potential requirements for M2P along with the application of blockchain technology. An experimental design framework was established that gave the necessary services to model the requirements, check the models, and operationalize the models. The applied research methodologies are as follows: design science research paradigm and software case study, model-to-programming (M2P) of business processes, and utilization of patterns of workflow and blockchain. Complex and difficult-to-understand data may be found in a wide range of industries. Big data is a critical component of enterprise services and technology architectures. Data science techniques and methodologies can be applied in many aspects of the working of companies. In this paper, first, as a background, we provide an overview of knowledge management practices and data analysis strategies and techniques in the daily operations of companies working towards development of AI agents. Furthermore, we look at the need in particular companies to develop human centric AI solutions; then, we discuss the basics for cross-disciplinary research, in which we stress the need to rethink development processes of AI services and make them more responsible. Thereby, we define research questions to investigate the problem. As the research proposal discusses, companies and public institutions can create and develop new responsible, ethical, and transparent AI services. Big data (BD) is a prevalent phenomenon that can be found across many industries, including finance. Despite its complexity and difficulty to comprehend, big data is a critical component of financial services enterprises and technology architectures. We examine BD from various aspects, considering data science (DS) techniques and methodologies that can be applied during the operation of an enterprise. Our aim is to provide an overview of knowledge management (KM) practices and data analysis (DA) strategies and techniques in the daily operations of financial companies. We address the role of knowledge management, data analytics in a financial institution. The paper demonstrates financial institutions’ enablement for new services resulting from technological advancements. Data science in finance helps to provide more personal and safer experiences for customers and develop cutting-edge solutions for a company. This paper surveys the challenges and opportunities in applying data science to finance. It provides a state-of-the-art review of financial technologies, algorithmic trading, and fraud detection. Also, the paper identifies two research topics. One is how to use generative AI in algorithmic trading. The other is how to apply it to fraud detection. Last but not least, the paper discusses the challenges posed by generative AI, such as the ethical considerations, potential biases, and data security. The paper aims to explore the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) required by project leaders to adopt an agile approach to leading their project teams. Project leadership in itself is complex given the wide range of activities it involves. In addition, agile is increasingly becoming a need in leadership style let alone to be used as a methodology to manage projects. The goal is to explore a modern approach to leadership formation when applying agile methodology from the point of view of leading project teams. A systematic literature review has been conducted on literature available from the last five years (2017-2022) to capture the complexities associated with agile leadership. Alongside the complexities, the knowledge, skills, and attributes required by a project leader implementing an agile approach to their leadership style have been studied. As a result, an effort to create a development approach to agile leadership has been derived based on KSA for existing project leaders who might be willing to adopt this new leadership style. The results of this research will aid project leaders to gain a strong understanding of changing landscape and provide an avenue to better support, guide, and coach their project teams with agility. The results will also inform future; leadership preparation courses in order to train new and upcoming leaders in the field of project management.
