This study was designed to examine how safety climate and organizational innovativeness could promote preferred organizational behavior outcomes in college campus sport and recreation centers. A total of 227 sport and recreation employees were recruited through the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association. With the collected data, we employed structural equation modeling to assess the research hypotheses. The results indicated that safety climate and innovativeness positively influenced job engagement, therefore leading to enhanced safety compliance and employee innovativeness, which ultimately resulted in higher levels of organizational performance. Peer safety compliance was also found to be a moderator in the relationship between job engagement and safety compliance. In this study, the authors offer new insights into sport organizational performance by emphasizing safety and innovation. From the developmental perspective, it is vital to examine the occupational perceptions of college students who grew up in distinct social and psychological environments from previous generations. To bridge the research gap, this study is to examine college students’ subjective occupational perceptions and the psychosocial factors impacting their views on occupational identity. Fifty college students sorted 72 Q statements about their viewpoints on occupations. Findings revealed four viewpoints on the occupational perceptions with the highly work-engaged; money-minded; intrinsic motivation for career choice; and parent-child conflict. A person-centered counseling approach for individuals experiencing financial difficulties and/or parental conflict could enhance a sense of achievement and occupational identity. Considering delayed developmental tasks and uncertainties about their future career, along with their internal motivation and external conditions, comprehensive educational programs would be beneficial in exploring diverse career choices. Due to the challenges and various market changes that banks face, building an effectively motivated multigenerational employee team and understanding employee intrinsic and extrinsic motivation is very important.Aim: The paper aims to contribute to the literature and fill the research gap on the financial motivators available in banking and non-banking entities. The paper examines the role and importance of financial incentives, regularly used in the banking sector, in conjunction with a comprehensive analysis of their significance for representatives of different generations (X, Y, Z), gender, and career level in the sample of various institutions in the banking sector in Poland. Results: The paper outlines the opportunity to revise incentive systems in banking operations. The analysis was made twofold: firstly, within extensive desk research, and secondly, based on the empirical survey in the form of an individual research questionnaire carried out among 418 employees of various banks and companies from their capital groups just before the pandemic in 2020. The results were examined using statistical analysis, including non-parametric tests. We identified multiple respondents’ attitudes to motivational financial factors and classified their importance concerning generation, age, and organisational position. The study’s results indicate that generational and gender differences affect the perception of bank financial incentive tools. Some financial motivational factors regularly used in banks do not equally motivate employees, which leads to the conclusion that banking institutions should inevitably include generational and gender factors in their motivational approach to employees. Thescientific literature suggests that a specific focus on intergenerational diversity is necessary to better understand differences in teacherengagement in school improvement. A qualitative methodology was chosen to provide a comprehensive and in-depth understandingof the participants’ real-world experiences and their subjective interpretations of those experiences. Fifteen school leaders fromgeneral education schools in Lithuania participated in the focus group discussion, and provided insights on how school leaders’leadership may impact teachers’ engagement in school improvement initiatives, with the focus on addressing generational diversity. The proposed study does not aim to promote intergenerational stereotypes, but rather to focus on unique intergenerational values, behaviours and skills. The findings would be useful in developing research-based recommendations for school leaders’ practices(e.g. recruitment and retention, job satisfaction, career development, motivation and empowerment, teacher role and performance, leadership, etc) for encouraging groups of teachers of different generations to become more engaged in school improvement. Based on self-determination theory (SDT), the paper argues that the degree to which a work environment nurtures interpreters’ feelings of competence, connectedness, and autonomy can determine how motivated they feel, resulting in different degrees of job satisfaction. Stressing the organismic component in SDT, the paper further hypothesizes that the motivation in healthcare interpreting is mediated by interpreters’ values and that these vary across generations. An exploratory and qualitative study based on semi-structured interviews is conducted with 9 interpreters (3 from each generational group) who are working or have worked for the same hospital group. The differences in motivational factors and satisfaction are explored and implications for the ability of healthcare interpreting to retain the different generations are discussed. Method: The proposed hypotheses were tested in a survey of 122 Brazilian and German participants. The data were analyzed using t-test and logistic regression models. Main Results: The results present differences between Brazilian and German Generation Z, challenging the literature that analyzes Generation Z as a global generation and reinforcing cultural differences between nationalities. The Brazilian sample presents more instrumental and prestige work values and is more positive and less negative regarding technology than the German sample. Relevance/Originality: The paper’s contribution provides evidence of Generation Z’s differences according to nationalities relevant to shaping their relationship with work and technology. The analysis of both constructs is interesting nowadays because of their interrelationship and the current changes in global work boundaries. Theoretical/Methodological Contributions: The literature predominantly presents that Generation Z is a global generation. Comparing participants from two countries with different levels of development provides an insight into their differences regarding work values and attitudes, which can be valuable for business management literature. Practical/Social Contributions: Recommendations for businesses are provided to improve attraction and retention strategies to tackle the shortage of skilled workers. This implies management strategies for firms with multicultural teams. Design/methodology/approach: Many employees remember the Covid-19 pandemic period as a forced shift to remote work and a significant experience with all its advantages and disadvantages. After many months of operating in a new professional reality, employers and employees got used to working under new conditions. Still, more importantly, this period marked a new trend in the labour market by opening institutions to this way of working. This issue was addressed in a 2021/2022 student survey. Its main objective was to explore the relationship between young people’s remote learning experiences and their preference for remote working. The data were analysed using the STATISTICA software, and the Kruskal- Wallis rank ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U and Pearson’s chi-square tests were applied. Findings: The results show that remote working is becoming increasingly important and that hybrid work is recommended, regardless of whether the demotivating aspects of remote working are known or perceived. Practical implication: When analysing the percentage distribution of responses to individual questions, it can be seen that respondents’ answers on the motivational or demotivational aspects of remote working were mainly in line with the literature. However, an in-depth analysis that considers the significance tests of the differences between the individual independent variables requires a more thorough look at the results obtained. Originality/value: As Generation Z is entering the labour market it is important information for future employers, as it will be difficult to build a message for this generation that will encourage future employees to work stationary based on rational premises regarding the advantages and disadvantages of remote or hybrid work. Keywords: Generation Z, remote work, motivation. Category of the paper: Research paper. New challenges that appear in modern companies are also connected with the massive implementation of remote work as a result of COVID pandemic. In these circumstances knowledge management and particularly knowledge transfer from employee to employee faced with new obstacles. In the context of the outlined econo-socio-demographic changes, the author of this paper focuses her analysis on answering the question of how remote working influences selected aspects of learning processes in organisations as experienced by Generation Z. The research was conducted in December 2022 on a sample of the Generation Z representatives with the aim to identify their experiences and opinions about the remote type of work. For the research purposes, the Likert scale-based questionnaire technique was applied. The data was analysed in the STATISTICA program using Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA on ranks test, Mann-Whitney test, and the Pearson's chi-square test. The results of the research reveal interesting dependencies between the respondents’ opinions and variables such as gender, the industry in which the remote work was conducted, size of the organisation, experience in remote working and the preferred form of work in the future. This study uses explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the Generation Z Society, the generation born between 1997-2012 in Malang City who invests in the capital market. The sampling technique used in the study was purposive sampling. Data collection was used through surveys using questionnaires, and the use of Likert scales to test instruments. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) modeling. The results of this study indicate that overconfidence bias and herding bias contained in investors can reduce the quality of investment decisions. In addition, overconfidence bias and herding bias can also reduce investors' risk perception. The perception of risk in investors can influence investment decisions and increase the benefits of the investment process. Risk perception can mediate between overconfidence bias and herding bias on investment decisions. The results of this study suggest that investors should minimize the formation of bias when making investment decisions and diversify their portfolios to minimize risk. These young people have had access to the internet and other innovative technologies since birth. A tape recorder or a floppy disk is a museum exhibit for them. They are unfamiliar with the everyday problems that citizens of Central and Eastern Europe faced during the socialist era, such as the lack of necessities on the shelves. The aim of this article is to present the results of the authors’ survey on the identification of work motivation factors relevant to Generation Z. The survey involved 649 respondents, young Poles who are currently entering the labor market. It was also an interesting research task for the authors to compare the results of surveys among young Poles with the results of international surveys. The research provided insight into young people’s expectations, values, and preferences regarding work. The results of the survey can provide valuable guidance for employers in shaping sustainable human resource management strategies. In addition, studying the competences of Generation Z can identify the gap between the requirements of the labor market and the skills possessed by young workers. The study conducted by the authors is among the first of its kind in Poland after the pandemic, emphasizing the growing trend in remote work. Earlier research was undertaken in a different economic climate. The current investigation took place following the COVID-19 outbreak and amidst heightened military operations in Ukraine. It also takes into account the effects of recent technological progress related to the rapid development of Industry 4.0. Notably, the questionnaire used in this study is unique as the authors categorized motivational factors into three essential groups, highly relevant in today’s markedly altered labor market. Procesy globalizacji, przemiany świata społeczno-kulturowego, postęp naukowo-techniczny przyczyniają się do przeobrażeń stylu życia, systemu wartości i codziennego funkcjonowania współczesnych młodych ludzi. Nowadays, they state that after Generation Z, which was considered to be contemporary, since about 2010, there have been born children of a new generation, somewhat different from Generation Z in terms of life-sustaining activity and general characteristics. The article develops a discussion on the problem of Generation Alpha in order to address the issue of its education. It is a significant question since the majority of this cohort are already included in the system of preschool and primary education. The purpose of the study is to identify modern challenges to the educational system that arise under the influence of the new generation’s characteristics. In accordance with this, one of the objectives of the study was to determine psychological and pedagogical features of Generation Alpha. The methodological base of the research is the generational approach to the study of children’s behavior and education. The results of the study show that Generations Alpha and Z differ due to the greater influence of modern technologies on culture: Alpha is the first generation, living in a digital environment from their birth. They learn to interact with digital devices at an early age (often before their language development). It has been reveiled that this condition determines the specifics of Alpha children as a generation. By means of theoretical and empirical methods, the study has proved that the most typical features of Generation Alpha are creativity, curiosity, striving for leadership, activity and interest in the social agenda. However, a number of alarming characteristic have been singled out: excessive self-confidence, increased excitability, and the rejection of rules. The research shows that that these features and life in the digital environment explain Alpha’s needs in education. The results reveal some problems in coonection with the solution of the arising challenges (philosophical, material and financial, personnel, and methodological). The connection of their life with information and communication technologies explained the need of the educational system to reckon with this cohort’s traits for optimizing pedagogical processes. However, since 2010, foreign sociologists have been observing a new generation, the so-called Alpha, whose characteristics are a little different from Z, due to the even greater influence of digitalization; in fact, from birth. These are children who attend kindergartens and primary schools today. In 7 years, they will begin to enter professional training system, but one still has no clear ideas in education about the traits of the new cohort. This article strives to characterizing Alpha’s specifics. For that, we studied relevant literature in Russia and abroad, for several years had been observing two groups of children, and interviewed teachers for confirming or rejecting the characteristics of Alpha identified in empirical studies of previous years. As a result, it was found that, while such qualities as high creativity, leadership abilities, self-confidence, interests in various spheres of human activity are typical for the Alpha children, they are more than Z characterized with increased excitability, irascibility and egocentrism, which may affect the labor market formation in future. This research was conducted to determine motivational factors, investment knowledge, and financial literacy on Generation Z's interest in investing in the capital market. The data collection method was distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents from Generation Z in Jakarta and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The result is that motivational factors, investment knowledge, and financial literacy significantly and positively affect Generation Z's interest in investing in the capital market partially and simultaneously. However, the financial literacy factor has a greater influence than the investment knowledge factor. Thus the motivational factor as an internal factor will generate great interest for Generation Z in investing in the capital market if it is supported by external factors in the form of conveying investment knowledge and correct financial literacy. In addition, it will bring changes in attitudes and good financial behavior. This study was conducted using qualitative research and a phenomenological design. The study sample consisted of 11 university students over the age of 18 who agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected online through individual interviews in Türkiye. Colaizzi’s phenomenological analysis method was used in the data analysis. The content analysis determined three main themes and eleven sub-themes. The first theme was the students’ knowledge acquisition about the “current situation of the country.” Under this theme were four sub-themes: economic problems, the immigrant situation, the education and justice system, and the country’s agenda. In the second theme, students shared their opinions about “being a student in the country.” This theme included economic impossibilities, their participation in limited social activities, and housing problems. In the last theme, “future anxiety,” the sub-themes of the students were found to include experiences hopelessness versus hope. Uncertainty caused anxiety, as did going abroad, finding a job, and improving themselves. It was determined that the participants were worried about the current situation in the countries they lived in during this period due to economic problems; while some were hopeful about the future, some were hopeless and would go abroad. This study might contribute to the literature on determining the future-oriented perceptions, possible stressors and hope levels of Generation Z university students in Türkiye. Additionally, intervention programs can be developed for the management these stressors to protect the mental health of Generation Z university students. On the other hand, it is necessary to protect the mental health of young people, who are the adults of the future, and to create policies for the youth of this country where social opportunities are maintained. In order to rethink and reimagine teacher education, a priority should be to have a firm grasp on the traits that young people bring with them when they enroll in Education degree programs. In other words, we must understand their distinctive generational traits and how the various crises of recent years have affected them. This paper has three main aims, each of which is addressed in a corresponding section of the article. The first objective is to gain a better understanding of the educational needs and learning styles of this new generation of students and to examine how they are influenced by present-day realities. A second section strives to identify the most prominent challenges that are reshaping teacher education programs on a global scale. The third and final part explores the bidirectional interaction between these two previous variables by examining the educational approaches and methodologies that have been implemented recently in Spain and discussing the extent to which they have been able to meet students’ evolving needs. Given that these changes, transformations and pedagogical concerns are observable worldwide, these analyses and reflections are potentially relevant beyond the Spanish context. Generation Z, encompassing those born between 1996 and 2006, navigated their childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood with the companionship of smartphones, tablets, social media, online gaming, and various digital interaction platforms. This exploration into Generation Z digital leadership through social media using qualitative methods with netnography and literature review illuminates the dynamic interplay between generational disparities and the evolving digital landscape. New findings underline that if leadership goals and purposes are explicit, Gen Z leaders' disclosures may be perceived as fair by followers, enhancing interaction quality and shaping follower perceptions positively. Social media possesses the potential to bridge gaps, serving as a powerful tool for fostering cohesion and connectivity for Generation Z within a broader range of social contexts. This study found that initiative and high impact are among the main characteristics of Gen Z digital leaders who prefer online over offline discussions. The development and expression of social media consist of personal growth, learning new things, and developing skills and voice. Gen Z digital leaders are found to use social media in various contexts, such as fostering collaboration, building networks, and inspiring action. Gen Z also face challenges while using social media, as they are faced with passivity and communication failure. At the same time, they are blessed with opportunities such as amplifying underrepresented voices, impacting, influencing others, and even inspiring action. Supporting and integrating Gen Z digital leadership skills in practices means knowing the cohort closely, fostering digital literacy in senior generations that work together with them, understanding personal strength, and creating opportunities in the leadership area with safe online environments. Now that in modern management the focus is on soft variables and people, their needs and desires, the question arises what are the challenges and opportunities of leading different generations in a business environment that differ from each other in their values, attitudes and behaviours? The authors will analyse the above through three components of leadership, motivation, leadership styles and communication. There are currently four generations in the working population: Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y and Generation Z. If the consideration is extended to top management at the national level and to political leadership, it is expected that the challenges and opportunities of leading different generations are even more complex, because the working population is joined by the Traditionalist generation, which is retired, but also by the Alpha generation, whose entry into the working population expected in a few years. Additionally, political leadership encompasses a nation’s entire populace as well as all of its social issues in an indirect manner. In addition to generational differences, leadership is also faced with the challenge of a changing environment, which is quite unstable nowadays and thus poses an even greater challenge to leadership. Generation Z is the current generation that has attracted much attention from researchers and practitioners. They are defined as those who were born after 1995 and are characterized by their digital nativism and unique characteristics. The aim of this paper is to understand how Generation Z distinguishes itself from previous generations, especially in terms of its values, attitudes, and behaviours. For this purpose, a systematic literature review was conducted using Google Scholar as the main database. The search results were filtered using inclusion and exclusion criteria based on the relevance, quality, and recency of the sources. The main findings of the review are that Generation Z are born after 1995 and are known as digital natives who are proficient in using technology and social media. They also possess unique characteristics such as being entrepreneurial, socially conscious, pragmatic, and diverse. The paper concludes that Generation Z is a distinct generational cohort that requires further research and attention from various stakeholders. The generation in question is a collection of people who categorize themselves according to their birth year, age, place of residence, and life events. Generation Z was born between 1995 and 2010 and grew up in the 2000s. Millennials are defined as those born between 1981 and 1994. The Generation Z is practical in the workplace and craves more safety and stability. Additionally, Generation Z tends to despise short-term jobs as well as lack long-term employment. Because of this, members of Generation Z are more likely to switch employers, which may have an impact on the business's profits and reputation. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of meaningful work on Generation Z employees' commitment to their jobs. By distributing questionnaires online and setting restrictions on the types of respondents based on the Generation Z age range, a quantitative research methodology was applied. The findings demonstrated that work loyalty is greatly influenced by the meaning of the work. It was also discovered that up to 77% of respondents in generation Z said they preferred bosses who belonged to the millennial generation to those who belonged to generation X or the baby boomer generation. This demonstrates the need for superiors to pay attention to the aspirations of Generation Z if they want them to interpret their work and become devoted workers. Thus, it can be said that Generation Z employees are more loyal to their employers the more emphasis they place on their work. A supportive work environment in the workplace consists of a desirable climatic environment, healthy and mutually constructive relationships between colleagues and superiors and available organizational support. A supportive work environment has four dimensions: perceived climate, peer group interaction, supervisory support, and organizational support. Using instruments with different cultural backgrounds requires an adaptation process so that the measurement results are valid and reliable. Still, until now, there has yet to be any research on the adaptation of supportive work environment measurement tools in Indonesia. This study aimed to obtain and test the standardized Indonesian version of the supporting work environment instrument. The adaptation process is carried out using the International Test Commission 2016 reference. The analysis model used is the Structural Equation Model / SEM; it can be concluded that according to theory, the dimensions of perceived climate, peer group interaction, supervisory support, and perceived organizational support have a good fit model with several omitted adjustments. It is explained that the resulting model can describe the actual conditions but with a few notes to consider. Each person adopts a specific attitude to experiencing the passing of time, i.e., a time perspective. In addition, each person adopts a specific attitude to experiencing the passing time, i.e., a temporal orientation. This study investigates whether members of different generations differ in of terms of their preferred time perspective. The Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory was used in the study. A total of 435 people were surveyed, out of which 215 (49.4%) were women and 220 (50.6%) men. The subjects were aged 16–81, and the average age for the whole group was M = 45.04, SD = 19.20. The conducted analyses revealed the occurrence of statistically significant differences between generations X, Y, Z and between veterans and baby boomers. In the groups of veterans and baby boomers, the highest intensity was demonstrated for the past positive perspective. Among members of generations X and Y, future perspective was the most preferred one. In generation Z, the hedonistic present and the positive past are the most strongly preferred time perspective. The obtained results can be used in the work with individual generations in order to develop more adaptive profiles of time perspective. This applies in particular to generation Z, which seems to represent the least functional time perspective. The area of interest of the research presented in this article is a specific area of the labor market called the Modern Business Services (MBS) sector. The peculiarity of this service sector lies primarily in the fact that it is largely an industry of the future, and therefore it employs mostly young people from the so-called Generation Y and Z. It is also one of the sectors that is growing very rapidly and, as a result, employment in this sector is growing rapidly, which indicates, on the one hand, a growing market demand for this type of service and, on the other hand, a great interest in working in this sector among young people entering the labor market. The issue of competency management in such a specific work environment raises questions about the compatibility of current education systems with the needs of rapidly growing modern industries, which includes the MBS sector. Hence, the research presented in this article, aimed at showing possible educational and competence gaps resulting from the mismatch between education systems and the needs of the developing new industries, and, at the same time, showing the needs of MBS in terms of shaping specific competencies of the future, including soft competencies increasingly valued by employers. Therefore, an increasing percentage of workers are representatives of the so-called “silver” generation, i.e., people over 50 years of age. The main objective of the study is to characterize the system of values, attitudes to work, and related expectations of professionally active women and men over 50 years of age and to determine whether, and if so, how the hierarchy of values, attitudes to work, and job satisfaction affect the further development of their professional careers. In order to achieve such a goal, a CAVI survey was conducted on a sample of n = 600 respondents. The statistical significance of the differences between the groups was tested with the Mann–Whitney U test. To verify the main hypothesis, ordinal logistic regression models were built. The results of the study were supplemented with elements of descriptive statistics. In the course of the research work, it was confirmed that there are significant differences between the studied men and women in the assessment of traits concerning their value hierarchy, attitudes towards work, and career prospects. Traits such as value hierarchy and attitudes toward work have a significant impact on the career development of both women and men of the “silver” generation, while job satisfaction shows a significant impact on career development only for women.
