Accordingly, this study utilises the behavioural concept to develop new theorisations to account for the entrepreneurial processes of immigrant entrepreneurs. It pays attention on its effects on immigrant entrepreneurs, particularly when it comes to their decision–making and behaviours towards business creation in Canada. A comprehensive analysis of a dataset generated from a systematically selected group of immigrant entrepreneurs revealed the complexity of their imprints at various stages of their entrepreneurial cycle in the North American country. It emerged that imprinting not only modified their behaviours, attitudes and cognition, but also shaped the trajectory of their entrepreneurial processes. That is, their imprints had an effect on how they identified business opportunities, the types of businesses they pursued, their level of entrepreneurial drive, and the types of resources they acquired or accessed in their new environment. Notably, following a period of normalisation in their new surroundings, their original imprints changed due to diminishing affinity with their country-of-origin. However, few studies have examined the impact of openness to different types of external knowledge on start-ups’ innovation performance. Moreover, previous literature could be further complemented by additional investigation into how the coworking spaces provided by accelerator programs may engender informal sources of knowledge that enhance the innovation performance of accelerated start-ups. To address this research gap, we investigate whether start-ups participating in accelerator programs can enhance their innovation performance through information transfer from informal networks provided by business accelerator programs. In order to do so, we draw two-stage data collection data from 113 start-ups accelerated by Italian accelerators from 2013 to 2016 and the response data collected in 2018. Our results reveal that coopetitors, educators, and investors are beneficial for different innovation outcomes of accelerated start-ups. Based on a multi‐theoretical perspective, we propose a conceptual model that incorporates rational choice theory to explain consumers' beliefs. This model also integrates a sociocultural perspective and establishes a link between consumers' beliefs, their attitudes toward CC, and their intentions to participate in CC, by employing the Beliefs‐Attitudes‐Intentions framework. A study conducted on a sample of 501 individuals involved in CC as both providers and consumers found a significant and positive relationship between CC attitudes and intentions. In addition, the study found that age negatively influences this relationship, suggesting that the strength of the relationship varies depending on the age of the participants. The effect of risk of property damage, self‐utility, and eco‐utility on CC attitudes and intentions is significant. The relationship between trust and CC intention is fully mediated by CC attitude. However, consumer resistance to CC only has a positive direct effect on CC intention, but not on CC attitude. No evidence was found that perceived helpfulness of CC has an influence on attitudes toward CC and the desire to participate in CC. The results of this study suggest that for experienced individuals who both consume and provide in the CC context, the decision to continue to participate in CC can be considered a rational choice.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1479-1838}, orcid-numbers = {Pfajfar, Gregor/0000-0001-9659-1498} } @article{MTMT:33578595, title = {Antecedents of Return on Venture Capital Investment – Evidence From Chinese Growth Enterprise Market}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33578595}, author = {Chen, C X and Zhao, P and Xu, Q J}, doi = {10.33423/jabe.v24i1.4946}, journal-iso = {J APPL BUS ECON}, journal = {JOURNAL OF APPLIED BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS}, volume = {24}, unique-id = {33578595}, issn = {1499-691X}, year = {2022}, pages = {17-31} } @article{MTMT:33235466, title = {How Does Migration Working Experience Change Farmers' Social Capital in Rural China?}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33235466}, author = {Chi, Liang}, doi = {10.3390/ijerph192013435}, journal-iso = {INT J ENV RES PUB HE}, journal = {INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND PUBLIC HEALTH}, volume = {19}, unique-id = {33235466}, issn = {1661-7827}, abstract = {While a growing number of farmers migrate to urban sectors to engage in off-farm employment, little is known whether and how the migration working experience (MWE) changes farmers, especially their social capital. Using a survey data set with 2863 farm households in 14 provinces in China, we developed a mediation model to examine the impact of MWE on social capital, as well as the roles of household income, farmers' risk attitude, and information and communications technologies (ICTs). We show that MWE has a significantly positive impact on social capital and weak ties in social capital, which is mediated by household income, risk attitude, and ICT adoption. In particular, MWE can increase income, enhance risk preference, and promote ICT adoption, thus, leading to higher social capital. Moreover, ICTs play a moderating role in the impact of MWE on income and risk preference, that is, ICTs can decrease the impact of MWE on income, and completely substitute the impact of MWE on risk attitude. Quantitatively, the study is grounded on the classification approach of prevailing literature. Qualitatively, the study adopted a content analysis of scientific papers.Findings: The classification of scientific literature on human capital and the internationalisation of SMEs has led to the framework of prevailing studies and future research agenda.Implications & Recommendations: The obtained results indicate that additional studies are needed on human capital and the internationalisation of SMEs, especially in the context of developing and emerging countries. There is an opportunity to investigate service sectors, especially technology-intensive firms. Future studies have to consider the organisational level human capital and include the variables capturing all aspects of human capital. There is an opportunity to investigate the contribution of on-the-job training to the development of human capital and consequently the internationalisation of firms. Finally, the application of case studies and/or interviews and qualitative methods are needed for deeper understanding of human capital and the internationalisation of SMEs.Contribution & Value Added: The research contributes to the scientific perception of consolidation between human capital and the internationalisation of SMEs by reviewing systematically papers published in the period of 26 years and included in Clarivate analytics/Web of Science and Scopus databases.}, keywords = {literature review; Human capital; SMEs; internationalisation; Scopus; Clarivate analytics/Web of Science}, year = {2019}, eissn = {2353-8821}, pages = {125-142} } @article{MTMT:30656692, title = {Without each other, we have nothing. a state-of-the-art analysis on how to operationalize social capital}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/30656692}, author = {Weiler, Michael and Hinz, Oliver}, doi = {10.1007/s11846-018-0280-5}, journal-iso = {REV OF MANAG SCI}, journal = {REVIEW OF MANAGERIAL SCIENCE}, volume = {13}, unique-id = {30656692}, issn = {1863-6683}, year = {2019}, eissn = {1863-6691}, pages = {1003-1035} } @article{MTMT:30656724, title = {Uluslararasılaşma Sürecinin Başlamasında "Ağ Oluşturma Mekanizmaları"}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/30656724}, author = {Ercil, Yavuz and Baskici, Cigdem}, doi = {10.20409/berj.2018.147}, journal-iso = {BUS ECON RES J}, journal = {BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH JOURNAL}, volume = {9}, unique-id = {30656724}, issn = {1309-2448}, year = {2018}, pages = {911-922} } @article{MTMT:32715342, title = {The role of social capital in the development of trade with second-hand cars in Central and Eas-tern Europe.
