The study employs a longitudinal panel data sample of 132 automotive companies, using a dynamic Generalized Method of Moments model. The analysis examines the relationship between CSR ratings and yearly financial performance, taking into account various control variables. The results of the analysis suggest that there is a non-linear, U-shaped relationship between CSR and FP. The direction of this relationship (positive or negative) is dependent on the level of CSR engagement. This means that CSR activities do not immediately yield benefits, but instead provide advantages once a certain level of CSR has been reached. The study also finds that the impact of CSR on FP is positively moderated by technological innovation. This indicates that firms with higher levels of investment in technology benefit more from CSR activities in terms of their financial performance. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.}, keywords = {dynamic model; Corporate social responsibility; system GMM; curvilinear; corporate financial performance}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1863-6691} } @article{MTMT:34813218, title = {MARKA İLETİŞİMİ VE DİJİTAL SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİK BAĞLAMINDA SOSYAL MEDYADAN METAVERSE EKOSİSTEMİNE: DİJİTAL ORTAMLAR ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34813218}, author = {ÖZKÖK, ŞİŞMAN Ö. and BİLGİCİ, C.}, journal = {Yeni Yüzyıl'da İletişim Çalışmaları}, volume = {2}, unique-id = {34813218}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2757-7007}, pages = {7-20} } @article{MTMT:34083002, title = {Green Competitive Advantage and SMEs: Is Big Data the Missing Link?}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34083002}, author = {Riaz, A. and Santoro, G. and Ashfaq, K. and Ali, F.H. and Ur, Rehman S.}, doi = {10.7441/joc.2023.01.05}, journal-iso = {J COMPETITIVENESS}, journal = {JOURNAL OF COMPETITIVENESS}, volume = {15}, unique-id = {34083002}, issn = {1804-171X}, abstract = {We aim to see the influence of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and green intellectual capital on green competitive advantage with the mediation of green innovation in the manufacturing SMEs of a developing country. Moreover, big data analytics adoption intention (BDAAI) is used as a moderator between green innovation and green competitive advantage. The structural equation modeling (SEM) technique is used. Simple random sampling is used for data collection. The results explain that CSR and green intellectual capital significantly determine green innovation and green competitive advantage. Moreover, green innovation mediates between CSR, green intellectual capital, and green competitive advantage. Green innovation and BDAAI significantly determine green competitive advantage. Finally, BDAAI moderates between green innovation and green competitive advantage. The management can use CSR, green intellectual capital, green innovation, and BDAAI in decision-making to attain a green competitive advantage. Therefore, all segments of society must act together to stop the deterioration of the planet and the depletion of its resources. The business sector must play an active role in acting responsibly toward the environment. Given the importance of this issue, major efforts have been made to analyze the environmental performance of the most polluting sectors. In contrast, other sectors that are also of great interest due to their contribution to sustainable development, such as the banking sector, have been overlooked. Notable factors conditioning performance include aspects of corporate governance such as gender diversity. However, the empirical evidence reveals a lack of consensus regarding the influence of women directors on corporate environmental performance. This background motivates the study of the commitment of the banking sector to reducing their environmental impact and the analysis the influence of board gender diversity on environmental performance. Data for the period 2009 to 2018 on 52 banks from the most polluting Western regions were studied using descriptive statistics and fixed effects econometric estimation to test the relationship between a selection of relevant variables. Furthermore, this applies organizational capabilities as moderating variables between environmental strategies, ecological sustainability and sustainable performance in a sample of 373 construction firms. Design/methodology/approach The authors apply quantitative questionnaire data from construction firm representatives (from project, sales and construction managers and contract managers, executive directors and engineers) to structural equation modeling and SmartPLS for our analysis. Findings The results demonstrate that recourse to environmental MCS packages significantly influence ecological sustainability, sustainable performance and environmental strategies. Additionally, environmental strategies and organizational capabilities significantly influence ecological sustainability and sustainable performance. Moreover, environmental strategies mediate between environmental MCS packages, ecological sustainability and sustainable performance. Organizational capabilities significantly moderate the relationship between ecological sustainability and sustainable performance. Practical implications This research highlights the issue of how the management of construction organizations deploy environmental MCS packages, organizational capabilities and business strategies to measure ecological sustainability and improve their sustainable performance. This study fills a gap in the literature and facilitates the management of construction organizations in strengthening their internal resources in terms of environmental MCS packages, environmental strategies and organizational capabilities able to help improve their ecological sustainability and sustainable performance. Originality/value There are few studies building theoretical frameworks for incorporating environmental MCS packages, organizational capabilities, environmental strategies, ecological sustainability and sustainable performance into a single study.
