We find that the distributed single-mode nonclassicality is more robust than local single-mode nonclassicality against the local application of the canonical single-mode Gaussian channels i.e., for the canonical attenuator channel, the canonical amplifier channel, the canonical phase-conjugation channel, and the channel with a singular X matrix, with the exception of the channel with a singular Y matrix. This robustness persists even when the canonical channel is nonclassicality breaking For the canonical channel with a singular Y matrix, we find that the distributed as well as the local single-mode nonclassicality is equally robust against the local application of the channel. We illustrate examples where local single-mode squeezing is more robust than distributed squeezing against the local application of the channel, for channels not of the canonical form. It shows an essential feature of quantum systems which is different from the classical phenomena. We investigate the concept of cohering and decohering power of single-mode quantum Gaussian noises. For this purpose, we use the Hellinger distance-based and Bures distance-based measure to quantify the coherence of single-mode quantum Gaussian states. We will show that both Hellinger and Bures distance-based measures are the same when quantifying the quantum coherence of pure single-mode quantum Gaussian states. In this work we will study the cohering and decohering power of single-mode attenuation and amplification noise. We will investigate the effects of the amplification parameter k and attenuation parameter on the cohering and decohering power of corresponding channels. We find that for single-mode amplification noise the cohering power is increased by increasing k, while the decohering power is decreased by increasing k. Conversely, we will see that for a single-mode attenuation channel the cohering power is decreased by increasing the attenuation parameter eta, while in general the decohering power is increased by increasing eta. We also investigate the effect of the mean photon number of the environment N on the cohering and decohering power of single-mode attenuation and amplification noises. Firstly, we analytically solve the master equation that governs the system evolution. Then, we discuss the behaviors of decohering power for an atom affected by thermal fluctuating electromagnetic field. It is found that the behaviors of decohering power are dependent on the field temperature, atomic position and polarization. Decohering power fluctuates to relatively stable values with the increasing atom's distance from the boundary, which suggests a possible way of detecting the vacuum fluctuating and boundary effect. Additional conditions on the electromagnetic field give one more freedom to manipulate the variations of decohering power. Decohering power variations can efficiently reflect the behaviors of quantum coherence affected by electromagnetic vacuum fluctuation, and it is shown that quantum coherence can be effectively enhanced with the presence of a reflecting boundary. We firstly derive the master equation that the atom evolution obeys. We find that without boundary, QC declines under the effect of Unruh thermal bath and vacuum fluctuation. However, with a boundary, the degradation, fluctuation, and preservation of QC are closely related to boundary effect, atomic polarization, and acceleration. Furthermore, in the presence of a boundary, QC can effectively be protected under the influence of the vacuum fluctuation and Unruh thermal effect when the atom is transversely polarizable and near this boundary, and the presence of boundary gives us more freedom of controlling the QC behaviors.
