This queueing system assumes that each source can generate a primary call to request service when it is free. After the first phase service, the customer will choose the second phase service with probability p. Our analysis extends previous work on this topic and we can use method of discrete transformation to get some more general results on the length of the queue, busy period and waiting time. The model incorporates necessary ingredients such as the finite number of subscribe rs, their impatience and a queue for the outbound service. To consider the specific feat ure of spectrum renting and the current mobile cellular technology, a variable number of servers that are switched on and off in groups is introduced. We present a novel way to take into account the renting fee, which can be used to fine-tune the operation of the spectrum renting procedure. Numerical results show that it is still profitable to initiate a spectrum renting request at high loads, even if no discount is offered by the frequency bands’ owners.}, year = {2014}, eissn = {1793-7019} } @inproceedings{MTMT:2342455, title = {Discriminatory Processor Sharing from Optimization Point of View}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/2342455}, author = {Bíró, József and Bérczes, Tamás and Kőrösi, Attila and Heszberger, Zalán and Sztrik, János}, booktitle = {Analytical and Stochastic Modeling Techniques and Applications}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-642-39408-9_6}, unique-id = {2342455}, year = {2013}, pages = {67-80}, orcid-numbers = {Bíró, József/0000-0002-9729-2702} } @article{MTMT:1892415, title = {A tool for modeling distributed protocols}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/1892415}, author = {Sztrik, János and Balázsfalvi, Gábor}, journal-iso = {PIK}, journal = {PIK - PRAXIS DER INFORMATIONSVERARBEITUNG UND KOMMUNIKATION: FACHZEITSCHRIFT FUR DEN EINSATZ VON INFORMATIONSSYSTEMEN}, volume = {31}, unique-id = {1892415}, issn = {0930-5157}, year = {2008}, eissn = {1865-8342}, pages = {39-44} }
