		Elméleti háttér: Az önmagát a boldogság és az emberi erősségek tudományaként definiáló pozitív pszichológia egyik legjelentősebb eredménye a karaktererősségek és erények rendszertanának megalkotása. Cél: Tanulmányunk célja megvizsgálni a Karaktererősségek Teszt 24 itemes, rövidített, felnőttekre kidolgozott, magyar változatának (VIA-H) reliabilitását és validitását, valamint e mérőeszköz mentális egészséggel és szociodemográfiai mutatókkal való kapcsolatát magyar mintán. Módszerek: Három önbeszámolós, kérdőíves, online keresztmetszeti vizsgálat részvevői (∑ n = 10 911) kitöltötték a Karaktererősségek Teszt 24 itemes változatát, a Globális Jóllét Kérdőívet, a Diener-féle Virágzás Skálát, a Huppert-féle Virágzás Kérdőívet, a Pozitivitás Skálát és a Rövidített Pszichológiai Immunrendszer kérdőívet. Eredmények: Az összesített mintán elvégzett feltáró faktorelemzés négy faktor meglétét igazolta (sajátértékek: 10,82, 1,68, 1,21, 1,09; kumulatív magyarázott varianciaarány: 61,65%), úgymint: Emberiesség, Bölcsesség és tudás, Mértékletesség, valamint Spiritualitás és transzcendencia. A négy skála mindegyik vizsgálatban kiváló belső konzisztenciaértékeket mutatott (0,738 és 0,885 közötti Cronbach- α- és McDonald- ω -értékek). Az almintákon elvégzett konfirmatív faktorelemzések jó illeszkedést mutattak a feltáró faktorelemzés során nyert négyfaktoros modellhez. A skálák alacsonyabb diszkriminációs (43%-os egyedi rész), de kiváló tartalmi validitását sikerült igazolni ( r S > 0,5). A válaszadók körében legmagasabbra értékelt erény az Emberiesség, míg a legkevésbé fontosnak tartott erény a Mértékletesség. A nők statisztikai értelemben kismértékben magasabb értékeket adtak az Emberiesség ( d (3756,0) = –15,641, p < 0,001, Cohen- d = 0,378), valamint a Spiritualitás és transzcendencia erény skálákra ( d (3900,9) = –12,394, p < 0,001, Cohen- d = 0,293), mint a férfiak. A Bölcsesség és tudás erény pozitív irányú kapcsolatot mutatott az iskolázottsági szinttel ( r S = 0,211, p < 0,001). Az egyedül élőknél az Emberiesség erény alacsony szintje ( M = 4,85, SD = 0,96; F (3; 9825) = 52,27, p < 0,001, η 2 = 0,016) minden más csoporténál szignifikánsan ( p < 0,001) alacsonyabb, a házasok átlaga ( M = 5,14, SD = 0,78) pedig minden más csoporténál szignifikánsan ( p < 0,001) nagyobb volt. Következtetések: A Karakterősségek Teszt rövidített felnőtt magyar változata (VIA-H) megbízható és érvényes mérőeszköznek bizonyult, amely alkalmas az erények és karaktererősségek rendszerének mérésére.},

	abstract = {Introduction: Parental burnout might take place when excessive demands overwhelm the parents' resources.Aims: To develop and validate the Hungarian version of the Parental Burnout Assessment (PBA-HUN), an instrument designed to measure parental burnout; and to determine the prevalence of parental burnout in Hungary.Methods: Data were collected via an online survey from parents with at least one child living in the household (N = 1215; 82.6% mothers; M-age = 38.68 years; SDage = 6.27 years). Confirmatory factor analysis was used to investigate the factor structure of the PBA-HUN.Results: The four-factor structure of the original PBA was replicated, confirming the following factors: exhaustion in one's parental role, contrast with one's parental role, feelings of being fed up, and emotional distancing from one's children. A second-order model with a higher-order factor representing overall parental burnout also fit the data well. The internal consistency of both the subscale and total scores was excellent (alpha >= 0.84). Parental burnout had a moderately strong negative correlation with life satisfaction, and weak or moderate positive correlations with perceived stress, depression, vital exhaustion, and COVID-specific perceived stress supporting the construct validity of the PBA-HUN. The prevalence of parental burnout stood at 5.8% in this sample. The weak relationship between PBA-HUN scores and sociodemographic factors was also similar to those found in prior studies. Parental burnout correlated negatively with the number of hours spent sleeping and engaging in spare time activity, respectively.Conclusions: The PBA-HUN is a reliable and valid tool to assess parental burnout in Hungary.},

	abstract = {According to the Maintainable Positive Mental Health Theory (MPMHT), the main pillars of positive mental health are global well-being, efficient coping that enables an individual to maintain positive conditions and functioning, savoring capacity, resilience, and dynamic self-regulation. This study presents the validation of a new five-scale mental health test (MHT), the MHT that operationalizes MPMHT. The methodology comprised two online cross-sectional studies using self-report questionnaires. Participants in Study I ( n = 1,736; 448 males, 1,288 females; mean age 51.3 years; SD = 11.6 years) filled in the MHT, the Flow, the Positive emotions, Engagement, Positive Relationship, Meaning, Accomplishment Questionnaire (PERMA-Profiler), and the Flourishing Scale. Participants in Study II ( n = 1,083; 233 males, 847 females; mean age 33.9 years; SD = 12.2 years) filled in the MHT, the Shortened Aspiration Index, the short form of the Beck Depression Inventory, the WHO Well-Being Index, the Satisfaction with Life Scale, the Purpose in Life Test, and the Schema Questionnaire–Short Form. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) identified a five-factor structure with 17 items in Study I that was confirmed with excellent fit measures in confirmatory factor analysis in Study II. Both studies indicated a high level of internal consistency (above 0.70). In each subscale, a minimum part of 44% did not overlap with the set of the other subscales. The content validity of the subscales was confirmed by 10 tests of mental health. We found a positive correlation of the self-regulation and resilience subscales with age, while women showed a higher level of savoring than men at all age levels. When Study I was replicated after 2 weeks and again after 11 months, excellent internal consistency and good test–retest correlation values of the MHT scales were found. The MHT can thus be considered a reliable and valid measurement tool for mental health.},

	abstract = {Háttér és célkitűzések
		A wulffi elméletet alapul vevő Kritika Utáni Vallásosság skála két dimenzión alapuló kiértékelése (Martos, Kézdy, Robu, Urbán és Horváth-Szabó, 2009) lehetőséget nyújt egy újfajta vallásosságtipológia létrehozására. Kutatásunk célja az volt, hogy a vallás iránti attitűdöket személyorientált statisztikai eljárások segítségével vizsgáljuk annak érdekében, hogy a valláshoz való személyes viszonyulás differenciáltabb típusait tárjuk fel.
		
		Módszer
		Hierarchikus agglomeratív és k-központú klaszteranalízist végeztünk el egy 1417 fős és egy 506 fős mintán, majd megbízhatóságát centroid módszerrel és egy újfajta validálási eljárással ellenőriztük (vö. Vargha, Bergman és Takács, 2016), majd a létrejövő klaszterstruktúrákat vizsgáltuk az értelemmegélés és értelemkeresés, valamint az aspirációk tükrében.
		
		Eredmények
		Az eredmények szerint azonosítható egy megbízható 7 klaszteres struktúra. A feltárt klasz- terek között megjelent a szakirodalom által sugallt klasszikus négy attitűddel közel azonos mintázat (Ortodoxia, Külső Kritika, Relativizmus, Második Naivitás). Három további típus kimutatása hozzájárult ahhoz, hogy a vallás iránti egyéni viszonyulásokról árnyaltabb képet tárjunk fel.
		
		Következtetések
		Az Ortodoxia és a Második Naivitás csoportba tartozók kedvezőbb, a Külső Kritika csoportjába tartozók kedvezőtlenebb pontszámot érnek el az értelemmegélés és -keresés, illetve az aspirációk tekintetében. A transzcendencia befogadása az értelmesség megélésének pozitív előrejezője.},

	abstract = {ABSTRACTBackground: Despite the increasing popularity of video game playing, little is known about the similarities and differences between online and offline video game players. Objectives: The aims of this study were (i) to test the applicability and the measurement invariance of the previously developed Problematic Online Gaming Questionnaire (POGQ) in both online and offline gamers and to (ii) examine the differences in these groups. Methods: Video game use habits and POGQ were assessed in a sample of 1,964 (71% male) adolescent videogame players. Those gamers who played at least sometimes in an online context were considered ?online gamers,? while those who played videogames exclusively offline were considered ?offline gamers.? Results: Confirmatory factor analysis supported the measurement invariance across online and offline videogame players. According to the multiple indicators multiple causes (MIMIC) model, online gamers were more likely to score higher on overuse, interpersonal conflict, and social isolation subscales of the POGQ. Conclusion: The results of the present study suggest that online and offline gaming can be assessed using the same psychometric instrument. These findings open the possibility for future research studies concerning problematic video gaming to include participants who exclusively play online or offline games, or both. However, the study also identified important structural features about how online and offline gaming might contribute differently to problematic use. These results provide important information that could be utilized in parental education and the prevention program about the possible detrimental consequences of online vs. offline video gaming.},

		Keyes és Haidt, 2002) hazai adaptálását célzó kutatás 
		családészleléssel kapcsolatos részére fókuszál. A mentális 
		egészség vizsgálatát ebben a modellben olyan társas tényezőkkel 
		hoztuk összefüggésbe, mint a pszichoszociális funkcionálás, a 
		családi működés és a szabadidő felhasználásának módozatai. Több 
		évtizedre visszamenően, konzisztensen azt jelzik a kutatások 
		(pl. Gohm, 1998; McMunn, 2001; Diener és Seligman, 2002; Brown, 
		2004; Diener és Diener, 2008), hogy a családi élet az élettel 
		való elégedettség legfontosabb meghatározó faktorai közé 
		tartozik, így a család működésének sajátosságai a szubjektív 
		jóllét fontos mozaikdarabkáit adják. 
		Vizsgálatunkban 394 serdülő és szülő páros töltötte ki azt a 
		tesztcsomagot, mely többek között a család percepciójára és az 
		egyéni szintű szubjektív jóllétre vonatkozó kérdéseket 
		tartalmazta. Az előbbi konstruktum felmérésére a Családészlelés 
		Skálát (Tiffin, Kaplan és Place, 2011) és a Komplex Család 
		Kérdőívet (Csíkszentmihályi, Rathunde és Whalen, 2010), az 
		utóbbi terület feltérképezésére a Mentális Egészség Kontinuum 
		Skála rövidített változatát (Keyes, 2006, 2008; Lamers, 
		Westerhof, Bohlmeijer, Klooster és Keyes, 2011), illetve a 
		Cantril-létrát (Cantril, 1965) használtuk fel. Mind a 
		Családészlelés Skála, mind a Mentális Egészség Kontinuum Skála 
		először került alkalmazásra magyar serdülő és felnőtt mintán. 
		Mindkét mérőeszköz kiváló pszichometriai mutatókkal rendelkezik 
		a hazai eredmények alapján is. Az előadás célja az újonnan 
		bevezetett Családészlelés Skála rövid bemutatása (felépítés, 
		faktorstruktúra, skálák tartalma, speciális indexek, 
		reliabilitási és validitási adatok, alapstatisztikák) és az 
		összetartozó mintákon alapuló vizsgálat családpercepcióval 
		kapcsolatos főbb eredményeinek ismertetése, kiemelten az 
		érzelmi, a pszichológiai és a társas jóllét, azaz a mentális 
		egészség összetettebb felfogása tükrében.},

	abstract = {Previous research on sensation seeking (SS) was dominated by a variable-oriented approach indicating that SS level has a linear relation with a host of problem behaviors. Our aim was to provide a person-oriented methodology—a probabilistic clustering—that enables examination of both inter- and intra-individual differences in not only the level, but also in the pattern of SS. We have applied model-based clustering to a four-semester long longitudinal high school survey (N = 3334) and to a cross-sectional university survey (N = 438). The results indicated that impulsive patterns are linked to negative outcomes whereas non-impulsive patterns are associated with positive outcomes. Our study aims to serve as a methodological example on how to apply model-based clustering to examine different types of sensation-seeking patterns. This modern clustering method allows for probabilistic categorization, with continous typicality scores besides cluster membership variables. These typicality scores turned out to have higher temporal stability than simple categorical membership variables did.

		utalnak, hogy a nyelvi problémákon túl, számos kognitív funkció sérülése is fenáll. Ezek
		közül kiemelkedik a munkamemória károsodása (pl. Marton és Schwartz, 2003, Montgomery,
		2008). A verbális munkamemória feladatokban nyújtott teljesítmény-profilok nyelv
		specifikusak, azaz más teljesítménymintázatot mutatnak pl. magyar és angol anyanyelvű
		gyermekek (Marton, Schwartz, Farkas és Katsnelson, 2006). A munkamemória és nyelvi
		feldolgozás kapcsolatát sok szempontból vizsgálták már különféle nyelvek esetében,
		mind felnőtteknél, mind gyermekeknél. Az eltérő nyelvi teljesítmények hátterében sok
		esetben éppen a munkamemória kapacitásban megfigyelhető különbségek és az azokkal
		összefüggő figyelmi és gátlási funkciók eltérései állnak (pl. Roberts és tsai., 2007). Nyelvi
		zavart mutató gyermekek a figyelmet és gátlási folyamatokat vizsgáló feladatokban gyengébben
		teljesítenek, mint tipikusan fejlődő társaik (pl. Im-Bolter, Johnson, & Pascual-
		Leone, 2006; Marton, Kelmenson, & Pinkhasova, 2007). Ezek a gyermekek gyakran nem
		képesek a fontos és lényegtelen információk elkülönítésére, valamint a lényegtelen információk
		elnyomására a hatékony feladatvégzés érdekében (Spaulding, 2010). A hatékony
		gátlási folyamatok hiánya megnövekedett mértékű perszeverációs hibát eredményez
		(Marton, Kelmenson és Pinkashova, 2007). Ezek a hibák tükrözhetnek figyelemváltási
		nehézségeket, problémát a környezeti ingerek zavaró hatásának kizárásában – interferencia-
		hatás lekűzdése, gyenge munkamemória reprezentációt. A jelen vizsgálat céljai:
		1. A gátlási folyamatok vizsgálata, különös tekintettel az interferencia-hatásra magyar
		és angol anyanyelvű, nyelvi zavart mutató és kontroll csoportoknál. 2. Csoportok közötti
		eltérések vizsgálata a munkamemória reprezentációk erősségére vonatkozóan különböző
		kísérleti helyzetekben. 3. A nyelvi sajátosságok tükröződése a különböző csoportok
		kognitív teljesitmény-mintázataiban. A vizsgálatban 8-14 év közötti magyar és amerikai,
		nyelvi zavart mutató és kontroll gyermekek vettek részt. A gyermekeknek adott szavakról
		kellett eldönteniük, hogy a bemutatott kategória tagjai-e. A kísérleti manipulációk között
		szerepelt a kategórián belüli ismétlések számának változtatása, a kategória váltások
		gyakoriságának változtatása, az idői intervallumok csökkentése és növelése, stb. A helyes
		válaszok aránya és a reakcióidő szerepelt függő változóként minden kísérletnél.
		Az eredmények azt mutatják, hogy a nyelvi zavart mutató gyermekek nemcsak a hibák
		számát illetően térnek el a kontroll csoportoktól, hanem a teljesítmény-mintázatban is.
		Több ismétlésre van szükségük a válaszadási pontosság javításához, ugyanakkor nem
		mutatnak bizonyos jellemzőket, amelyeket a szakirodalomból jól ismerünk, pl. a kategória-
		váltások utáni megnövekedett reakcióidőt. Ezzel szemben, a kontroll csoport az
		irodalomban leírtaknak megfelelő mintázatokat mutatta.

	abstract = {A mai napig nincs egyértelmű konszenzus a pszichológusok között a spiritualitás
		és a mentális egészség kapcsolatát illetően. Néhány metaanalízis pozitív kapcsolatról
		számolt be, néhány kutatás pedig ennek hiányáról. Újabb kutatások az e kapcsolatot
		moderáló változókat próbálják feltárni. Porta (2006) eredményei szerint a tudatos jelenlét
		moderáló hatást fejt ki erre a kapcsolatra. Tagay és mtsai (2006) szerint nem a spiritualitás,
		hanem a koherenciaérzés a protektív faktor a mentális egészségre és jóllétre nézve.
		Gumilar (2011) negatív kapcsolatot talált a spiritualitás és szenzoros élménykeresés
		között, amely számos mentális problémával szoros kapcsolatot mutat. Célunk a spiritualitás
		és a mentális egészség közti kapcsolat vizsgálata volt, olyan moderátor változók
		figyelembevételével, mint a tudatos jelenlét, koherenciaérzés és szenzoros élménykeresés.
		Továbbá személy-orientált megközelítéssel azokat a tipikus mintázatokat próbáltuk
		feltárni, amelyek magas élettel való elégedettséghez vezetnek. A spirituális élmények
		(DSE, Underwood, 2011), szenzoros élménykeresés (SS skála a ZKA-PQ-ból, Aluja,
		2010), tudatos jelenlét (FMI, Walach, 2006), koherenciaérzés (SOC, Antonovsky, 1993)
		és élettel való elégedettség (SWLS, Diener és mtsai, 1985) mérőeszközöket használtuk
		vizsgálatunkban. Eredményeink szerint a spirituális élmények megélése (DSE) nem áll lineáris
		kapcsolatban az élettel való elégedettséggel (r=.095, p=.192), koherenciaérzéssel
		(r=-.026, p=.774) és tudatos jelenléttel (r=.015,p=.839). A DSE azonban negatív kapcsolatban
		áll a szenzoros élménykereséssel (r=-.259,p=.000), a szenzoros élménykeresés
		pedig negatív kapcsolatban áll a tudatos jelenléttel (r=-.418, p=.000). A tudatos jelenlét
		szoros kapcsolatban áll a koherenciaérzéssel (r=.497, p=.000), amely pedig lineáris kapcsolatot
		mutat az élettel való elégedettséggel (r=.184, p=.041). Ezen eredmények alapján
		megfelelő illeszkedési mutatókat mutató SEM modellt készítettünk. A modell azt mutatja,
		hogy a vallásosság alacsony szenzoros élménykeresésen keresztül tud magas tudatos
		jelenlétet eredményezni, ami pedig a magas koherenciaérzésen keresztül képes magas
		élettel való elégedettséghez vezetni. A személyorientált elemzések azt mutatták, hogy
		csak egy olyan tipikus mintázat tárható fel, mely magas élettel való elégedettséghez vezet
		(alacsony élménykeresés, magas koherencia, magas spiritualitás, magas mindfulness).

		számolnak be, az érzelmi zavarokra pedig csupán az utóbbi időben kezdtek felfigyelni.
		Több kutatás is kimutatta, hogy az ADHD-ban szenvedő gyermekek szignifikánsan
		rosszabbul teljesítenek azokban a feladatokban, ahol arcokról kell érzelmeket felismerni
		(Lyon és Yuill, 2007), továbbá a kontextus alapján történő érzelem felismerésben
		is elmaradnak a nem hiperaktív kortársaiktól (Deruelle, Fonseca, Poinso, Santos és
		Seguier, 2009). Az érzelmi zavarok alapja az agyi gátló mechanizmusok alapműködése,
		ugyanis károsodnak meghatározott gondolatokat és érzelmeket gátló mechanizmusok
		(Selikowitz, 2009). Az ADHD-val élő gyermekekre jellemző a veszélytől való félelem hiánya,
		illetve a folyamatos izgalomkereső magatartás. Jelen kutatás az érzelmi ingerek
		feldolgozását és a kognitív gátlás deficitjét együttesen vizsgálja érzelmi ingerek kognitív
		gátlás paradigmákba történő beépítésével (pl. érzelmi go/no-go). Murphy és mtsai
		(1999) hasonló vizsgálatokkal azt találták, hogy a “go” válaszok esetén a mániás személyek
		gyorsabb választ adnak pozitív szavakra, mint a depressziósak, negatív szavak
		esetén pedig a depressziósak adnak gyorsabb választ. A mániás személyeknek továbbá
		problémát okoz mindenféle inger legátolása, azaz a “no-go” válaszok adása, akármilyen
		érzelmi töltetű ingerről is van szó. Vizsgálatunkkal arra keressük a választ, hogy a hiperaktivitás
		hátterében ugyanilyen mintázatot tárhatunk-e fel, mint a felnőtt mániás betegek
		esetén. Vizsgálatainkban 8-10 éves ADHD diagnózissal rendelkező és kontroll gyerekek
		valamint 18-25 éves kontroll felnőttek vettek részt. Kutatásunk során Marton Klára és
		kutatócsoportja által kifejlesztett, kognitív gátlást vizsgáló paradigma módosított, érzelmi
		ingereket is felhasználó változatát használtuk. A vizsgálati személyekkel gyermek vagy
		felnőtt szenzoros-élménykereső kérdőívet is kitöltettünk. Megvizsgáltuk, hogy a gátlási
		funkciók működése milyen összefüggést mutat a hiperaktivitással és a szenzoros élménykereséssel.
		Továbbá megvizsgáltuk azt is, hogy a hiperaktivitás ill. élménykeresés
		együtt jár-e a gátlást nem igénylő feladatok pozitív ingereinek relatív gyorsabb feldolgozásával.
		Részeredményeink az érzelmi töltettől független kognitív gátlás deficit hipotézist
		támasztották alá.

	abstract = {Meta-analyses of Wong, Rew and Slaikeu (2006) found a positive relationship between religiosity and mental health. Porta’s research (2006) showed that mindfulness has a moderating effect on this relation. Tagay et al (2006) stated that sense of coherence but not religiosity may be a protective factor for mental health and wellbeing. Gumilar (2011) has found that religiosity is inversely related to sensation seeking which has been found to be a potent predictor of a wide array of mental health problems. Our aim was to examine the relationship between religiosity and mental health through moderator variables such as sensation seeking, mindfulness and sense of coherence. Further, we applied a personoriented approach in order to examine the typical patterns of values that can lead to high life satisfaction. 198 individuals filled out Daily Spiritual Experience (DSE, Underwood, 2011), Sensation Seeking (SS scale in ZKA-PQ, Aluja, 2010), Sense of Coherence (SOC, Antonovsky, 1993), Life satisfaction (Diener, 1985) scales. 63% of respondents also filled out Mindfulness scale (FMI, Walach, 2006). We have found that daily spiritual experience (DSE) does not have a linear relationship with constructs of positive psychology as life satisfaction (r0.095, p0.192), SOC (r0-.026, p0.774) or mindfulness (r0.015,p0.839). However, DSE is negative linearly related to SS (r0-.259,p0.000), which latter is negative linearly related to mindfulness (r0-.418, p0.000). Mindfulness is strongly related to SOC (r0.497, p0.000), which is linearly related to life satisfaction (r0.184, p0.041). Based on these results we have built an AMOS model which has produced acceptable fit indices (CMIN/df01.146, CFI0.998, RMSEA0.027 (.000-.193, PCLOSE0.395). Religiosity through low SS can result in high mindfulness, which through high SOC can lead to high life satisfaction. Person-oriented analyses have shown only one typical pattern of values (low SS, high SOC, high DSE, high mindfulness) that yielded a significantly higher life satisfaction than the average (t (df018)04.31, p0.000). Our presentation aims to give not only a summary of the above mentioned results but also aims to provide a methodological example how to combine variable and person-oriented approaches in researches of health psychology.

	abstract = {Zuckerman, Kuhlman, Joireman, Teta, andKraft (1993) have proposed a five-factor psychobiological model of personality (Alternative Five- Factor Model, AFF). Recently, a questionnaire with a hierarchical structure of factor-facet version (Zuckerman-Kuhlman-Aluja Personality Questionnaire, ZKA-PQ, Aluja, 2010) was developed. This instrument contains five factors (Aggressiveness, Activity, Extraversion, Neuroticism, Sensation Seeking) with four facets per factor. Our aim was to compare the Catalan and Hungarian versions of questionnaire in order to validate the AFF psychobiological model and to see whether ZKA-PQ could serve as a base for cross-cultural personality measurements. As the AFF model contains basic factors that have strong biological-evolutionary basis, we can assume that AFF could be used regardless of cultures in order to unfold and compare the basic personality patterns. 1564 Catalan and 1647 Hungarian individuals filled out ZKA-PQ questionnaire on-line and anonymously. Alpha reliability coefficients on the average were above .85 for the five ZKA-PQ factors in both samples and were above .70 for the most facets. No significant differences were present between countries with regards to factors except for NE. The NE mean score was significantly lower in Hungarian sample (d0.87). Congruence coefficients between Catalan and Hungarian factorial structures (in congruence with proposed model) were 0.97, showing that the factorial structures for the Catalan and Hungarian language versions of the ZKA-PQ were equivalent. The high internal consistencies for both countries along with the same factorial structure that replicated well the normative structure received in American and Spanish samples confirm the AFF model’s usability in psychobiological and also in cross-cultural comparative researches. The ZKA-PQ has proved to be an adequate tool to assess both lower- and higher-order personality traits with biological basis in different cultures. We would be happy to welcome researchers for cross-cultural and psychobiological cooperations and can provide a copy of the ZKA–PQ with the scoring key for interested researchers.

		egy része arra irányult, hogy a személyiségstruktúra invarianciát (azaz a faktorstruktúra
		kultúrafüggetlenségét) teszteljék, valamint a feltárt közös faktorok mentén a különböző
		kultúrák átlagprofiljait hasonlítsák össze. Jóllehet számos kritikával illették az átlagprofilok
		nemzeti karakterekként való értelmezését, mindeddig mégsem terjedt el újabb
		módszer az egyes kultúrák típusainak feltárásában. A kutatások zömét a változó-orientált
		megközelítés jellemezte, azaz a változók kapcsolatának vizsgálata, nem pedig a
		tipikus profil-mintázatok feltárása. Számos kultúrközi kutatást végeztek a Zuckerman,
		Kuhlman, Joireman, Teta és Kraft (1993) által kidolgozott pszichobiológiai ötfaktoros modellel.
		2010-ben egy új, 20 alskálával és ugyancsak 5 faktorral (agresszivitás, szenzoros
		élménykeresés, aktivitás, extraverzió, neuroticizmus) rendelkező személyiségtesztet dolgoztak
		ki a modellre, melynek magyarra adaptálását végeztük el (Zuckerman-Kuhlman-
		Aluja Personality Questionnaire, ZKA-PQ, Aluja, 2010). A faktorstruktúra invarianciáját
		1564 fős katalán, és 1647 fős magyar mintán teszteltük. Eredményeink hasonló személyiségstruktúrára
		utaltak a két kultúrában. A változó-orientált megközelítés mellett
		személy-orientált megközelítést is alkalmaztunk a kultúrák összehasonlítására, hagyományos
		klaszterelemzést és modell-alapú klaszterelemzést végezve a tipikus értékmintázatok
		feltárására. Előadásunkban egy módszertani útmutatóul is kívánunk szolgálni a
		kultúrközi kvantitatív vizsgálatokhoz. Bemutatjuk mind a hagyományos (k-means), mind
		az újfajta klaszterelemzések (Fraley & Raftery, 2007) lehetséges hibaforrásait és előnyeit.
		Eredményeink azt mutatják, hogy a modellalapú klaszterelemzések nem csak a klaszterszámok
		optimális meghatározásában segítenek, hanem valóban olyan alcsoportokat
		képesek azonosítani, amelyek egymástól minőségileg eltérő alpopulációkra utalnak.
		Ezek az újfajta elemzések lehetővé teszik, hogy elkülönítsük a tipikus és a kevésbé tipikus
		személyeket, valamint azt, hogy egy-egy személy több klaszterhez is tartozhasson
		különböző valószínűségekkel. Az eredmény pedig nem merev határokkal rendelkező és
		mindenkit szükségszerűen és egyértelműen kategorizáló rendszer, hanem olyan tipikus
		értékmintázatok feltárása, amelyek adott kultúrában dominánsan jellemzőek. A feltárt
		mintázatok kulturális kontextusai, értelmezési lehetőségei és klinikai vonatkozások is
		megvitatásra kerülnek.

	abstract = {Alkalmazkodási zavarban (BNO: F43.2) fokozott az öngyilkossági veszélyeztetettség, illetve erre az állapotra szintén jellemzô lehet az álomminôség specifikus volta. Továbbá az alkalmazkodási zavar, az öngyilkosság és az álomminôség kapcsolatot mutathat az élet során elszenvedett különbözô típusú traumákkal. Mindezen szempontokat is figyelembe véve kérdôíves eljárással vizsgáltunk 41 alkalmazkodási zavarban szenvedô és 41 pszichiátriai zavarral nem diagnosztizált, kontrollszemélyt. Eredményeink arra utalnak, hogy alkalmazkodási zavarban jelentôs az öngyilkossági veszélyeztetettség, gyakoribb a rémálom és a negatív érzelmi töltetû álom; és ha ezek a személyek átéltek valaha tettleges erôszakot, az súlyosabbnak mutatkozott, mint a kontrollcsoport tagjai esetében. Emellett az öngyilkossági kísérlet, az álomminôség, a visszatérô álmok és a különféle traumák szintén kapcsolatban állnak egymással. A klinikai gyakorlatot tekintve kiemelkedô jelentôségû eredmény, hogy az öngyilkosság kockázata és a rémálmok gyakorisága – más kutatások eredményeivel megegyezô módon – erôs együttjárást mutat. Ezen kapcsolat vizsgálatunk alapján – Tanansken és munkatársai, 2001 (1) feltételezésével egybecsengô módon – az elszenvedett traumával összefüggésben jelenhet meg.},

		(PMS) differ from those without PMS in personality dimensions, 
		but it is not clear what role personality plays in the 
		background of premenstrual symptomatology. Our purpose was to 
		examine personality dimensions measured by the Tridimensional 
		Character Inventory (TCI) in psychiatrically healthy women not 
		suffering from premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in 
		relation to the severity of distressing and impairing mental and 
		physical symptoms experienced in the late luteal phase of the 
		menstrual cycle. Forty healthy women completed the prospective 
		record of the Impact and Severity of Menstrual Symptoms (PRISM) 
		calendar every evening through three consecutive menstrual 
		cycles and were assigned into LPS (luteal phase symptom) vs. 
		non-LPS groups. Our grouping did not reflect categorization 
		according to the presence of PMS, since we investigated healthy 
		women. Personality characteristics were evaluated using the TCI. 
		LPS subjects scored significantly higher in subscales associated 
		with novelty seeking (NS), self-directedness (S), cooperation 
		(C) and self-transcendence (ST), and lower in the harm avoidance 
		(HA) scale. Elevated scores of women with higher symptom 
		severity in the late luteal phase in NS, S, ST and C scales and 
		lower HA scores are in contrast with previous results on 
		personality traits associated with PMS. However, we investigated 
		psychiatrically healthy women. Therefore, our results suggest 
		that this personality profile is a protective factor against 
		developing serious psychiatric symptoms when experiencing a 
		distressing and more marked symptomatology associated with the 
		late luteal phase of the reproductive cycle. © 2010 Elsevier

	abstract = {A gyakori rémálmok és a pszichopatológiai tényezők kapcsolatára számos vizsgálat hívta fel a figyelmet, ugyanakkor egyre több vizsgálat tanúskodik amellett, hogy a rémálmok gyakoriságánál, a rémálmoktól való szorongás és a rémálmok okozta stressz jobban bejósolja a pszichés egyensúly zavarait. Jelenleg még nincs forgalomban magyar nyelvű skála a rémálmok által okozott szorongás vizsgálatára. A Van Álomszorongás Skála (VDAS) 140 fős minta (70 alkalmazkodási zavarral diagnosztizált személy, és 70 illesztett kontroll személy) adatain nyugvó pszichometriai vizsgálatával e hiátust kívántuk bepótolni. A skála belső konzisztenciája igen jónak bizonyult: az egészségesek esetén a Cronbach-alfa 0,846 a betegcsoport esetén 0,958 volt. Eredményeink szerint a 17 tételes skála az információ minimális vesztesége mellett, 4 tételre redukálható. A betegcsoport szignifikánsan magasabb pontszámot ért el a VDAS skálán, amely kitűnően differenciált a beteg és az egészséges csoport közt. A Skála validitásvizsgálatát az Álomfelidézés és az Álomminőség skála, a Reménytelenség Kérdőív és a Beck Szorongás Leltárral való korrelációs elemzéssel végeztük el. A VDAS a várt erejű és irányú összefüggéseket mutatta a pszichopatológiai állapotot mérő kérdőívek értékeivel, és az Álomminőség kérdőív negatív álombéli érzelmeket és rémálom gyakoriságot vizsgáló tételeivel. Úgy véljük, hogy a VDAS könnyen és hatékonyan alkalmazható a klinikai és a kísérleti álomkutatás területén.},

	abstract = {Objective: The cyclic nature of female reproductive function is a natural part of life accompanied by changes in several physical and psychological phenomena. The aim of our study was to investigate the fluctuation of psychological symptoms throughout the female reproductive cycle in healthy, non-PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) women. Method: 63 psychiatrically healthy, non-PMDD women with normal regular menstrual cycles and not using hormonal contraceptive methods participated in the study. Participants completed the PRISM (Prospective Record of the Impact and Severity of Menstrual Symptoms) calendar every night for three cycles and in addition they completed several other psychometric measures (Symptom Distress Checklist-SCL-51, State Trait Anxiety Inventory-STAI, Zung Self-rating Depression Scale-ZSDS, Eating Attitude Test-EAT, Mind and Body Cathexis Scale) at three predefined days of the first cycle. Based on an at least 66% increase in physical symptoms from the late follicular to the late luteal phase on the PRISM, subjects were assigned to luteal phase physical symptoms (LPPS) and no luteal phase physical symptoms (nonLPPS) groups. The association of psychometric scores with timing within the cycle and with physical symptoms was analysed. Results: Significant changes in psychometric scores over time were observed for STAI state anxiety, SCL anxiety, SCL somatization, SCL depression, SCL obsessive-compulsive, SCL interpersonal sensitivity, SCL total, and ZSDS. A significant time x LPPS grouping interaction emerged in case of the SCL somatization subscale and the ZSDS. LPPS grouping was associated with only the interpersonal sensitivity subscale of the SCL51. Conclusion: Our results indicate that there is a significant increase in psychological symptoms related to neuroticism and depression from the late follicular to the late luteal phase in a healthy, non-PMDD female population. Although our results may not have direct clinical significance. since the statistically significant increases in psychometric scores are still small. it is an important finding that there is a consistent pattern observable in the fluctuation of psychological symptoms accompanying the female reproductive cycle. 	abstract = {To our knowledge, no previous long-term studies of the Leonhardean classification in the whole spectrum of endogenous psychoses have been conducted. This prospective study (n = 276; female patients n = 222; normal control persons n = 54) started in 1967-1976. The same population was followed-up by participation of a "blinded control" psychiatrist in 1997-2002 [patients available at follow-up = 125 (56.3%); available controls = 38 (70.4%)]. Patients for this investigation were selected by two independent diagnosticians from eight nosological groups based on full diagnostic agreement. Diagnostic agreement at follow-up (weighted-kappa) was 0.87. Predictive validity of the diagnostic categories was measured empirically and using a stochastic (Markovian) model, thus combining validity and reliability. Hebephrenias, group of normal persons and of schizophrenias proved to be valid categories, with diagnostic stabilities of 0.94, 0.91, and 0.93, for the three groups, respectively. In addition, bipolar manic-depressive psychoses and cycloid psychoses were also valid (diagnostic stability of 0.77 and 0.76, respectively). Unipolar depression was valid (diagnostic stability = 0.84) only by forming a "nosological family" based on diagnostic stability and on current status and clinical presentation during the period preceding the follow-up with regard to other mood-congruent disorders and outcome-diagnosis "normal control". Validity of systematic paraphrenias (diagnostic stability = 0.69) was in the moderate range. Division of schizophrenias in "systematic versus non-systematic" nosological categories was inconclusive; the categories of affect-laden paraphrenia, periodic catatonia and systematic catatonias could not be confirmed reliably in this study. ? 2008 Springer.},

	abstract = {We have tested the stability of interrater reliability of psychiatric symptoms over a quarter of century using 2 rating scales. Interrater reliabilities of items of 2 psychiatric rating scales employed by 2 consecutive follow-ups were compared. Interrater reliabilites proved to be by and large stable. Interrater reliability depends on the standard deviation of the items scores. In addition to the traditional approach, a new statistical method for unifying the assessments from multiple raters is also presented. Using this method, we demonstrated that probabilities of correct ratings are higher in the absence of manifest symptoms, or in the presence of symptoms, as compared with cases characterized by middle scores. To interpret the relationships revealed in the setting of the experiment, we introduce for its theoretical designation the term "validity of reliability." Mára az első kiadás példányai a könyvesboltok polcairól gyakorlatilag eltűntek, s mivel a magyarországi egyetemekre jelenleg 500-nál is több pszichológia szakos hallgatót vesznek fel évente, át kellett gondolnunk, hogy az első kiadás változatlan utánnyomása helyett nem lenne-e időszerű egy átdolgozott, új kiadás megjelentetése.
		
		A könyvet újraolvasva és az elmúlt 7 év hallgatói, valamint a szakmabeli kollégák részéről érkező visszajelzéseket is figyelembe véve úgy éreztem, hogy a könyv tartalmi és didaktikai szempontból megállja a helyét, így ilyen vonatkozásban nem szorul lényeges javításra. Néhány formai szempont azonban egyértelművé tette, hogy a könyv változatlan utánnyomása már nem elfogadható megoldás.
		
		Ezen szempontok közül az első és legfontosabb a könyv illusztratív statisztikai szoftverének, a DOS-os környezetre írt MiniStatnak a Windows környezetre való felújítása és a könyv statisztikai mintapéldáinak ehhez igazított átírása. Ez a szoftverfelújítás ebben az évben olyan szintre jutott, hogy a ROPstat névre hallgató kétnyelvű új statisztikai programcsomag teljes mértékben illeszkedik a Windows környezethez, a régi MiniStat minden kedvező vonását megőrizve azokat számos felhasználóbarát új elemmel bővítette, így egyaránt megbízható partnerévé vált a statisztikai adatfeldolgozásban kezdő egyetemi hallgatóknak és a program-használatban haladó szintű kollégáknak.
		A ROPstat demo verziója mindenki számára ingyenesen letölthető a www.ropstat.com honlapról. Használatát megkönnyíti az a körülmény, hogy a ROPstat, az SPSS és az EXCEL adatfájlok igen egyszerűen oda-vissza konvertálhatók egymásba. Mindezen körülmények miatt a jelenlegi új kiadásból elhagytuk a MiniStatot ismertető mellékletet és a könyv teljes példaanyagát a ROPstatra építettük, illetve azzal elemeztük. Megjegyezzük, hogy a ROPstat a könyv anyagánál messze több statisztikai eljárás elvégzésére képes (pl. itemanalízis, többszörös lineáris regresszióelemzés, hiányzó adatok mintázatának elemzése és hiányzó adatok pótlása, hierarchikus és nem hierarchikus klaszteranalízis, konfigurációelemzés stb.). Ezeket könyvünkben nem ismertetjük, a ROPstattal kapcsolatos további részletekről a ROPstat fentebb megadott honlapja, illetve a szoftverbe épített gazdag súgó-anyag tájékoztat.
		
		A könyv új kiadásában igazodtunk ahhoz az általánossá vált konvencióhoz, hogy a magyar nyelvű könyvekben nem tizedespontot, hanem tizedesvesszőt illik használni. Emellett a könyv matematikai szimbólumábrázolásának módját is a műszaki kiadványokban szokásos formához igazítottuk és természetesen kijavítottunk számos sajtóhibát és képletbeli elírást, amelyek az első kiadásba sajnálatosan belekerültek.
		
		Tartalmi jellegű változtatás az új kiadásban csak elvétve fordul elő, s ahol mégis (pl. a sztochasztikus összehasonlítások fejezeteiben), ott azt az adott statisztikai területen időközben végbement fejlődés indokolta.},

The same - female - population was followed up by employment of the Hungarian version of the WAIS (MAWI) in the sixth year after the first investigation (patients: n=204; first investigation of NK: n=52; 1972-1981) and in 1997-2002 (patients: n=119; NK: n=37). Cycloid psychotic and hebephrenic patients were assessed also in their index psychosis (n=21; n=22; 1967-1969) and in their remission after the index-psychosis (n=23; n=24). Cycloid patients improved to the short-term outcome and this trend continued up to the 5-year follow-up (n=23). Hebephrenic patients improved to the short-term outcome only in one subordinate aspect, and signs of deterioration occurred from the short-term remission to the 5-year follow-up (n=23). From the 5-year to the 21-33-year follow-up, achievement deteriorated in all nosological groups indicating different patterns of the 15 variables taken in consideration. At the 21-33-year follow-up cycloid (n=15) and manic-depressive patients (n=14) stood nearest to the normal control persons (n=37). 	abstract = {Three rating scales developed by the senior author were employed by the 5-year and of the 21-33-year follow-up of the same population of endogenous psychotic female patients (n=80) and normal control persons (n=30). Two rating scales were developed following the concept of basic symptoms of Huber in 1974. One of them consists of operationalization of nineteen basic symptoms given in the aspect of experience (SSRS-Exp). The other consists of eight items supposed to be basic symptoms given in the aspect of the behavior (SSRS-Behav). The third rating scale refers to eleven personality types named "morbaffine" (MAPRT). This rating scale was developed by the senior author on the basis of investigation of course of illness of endogenous psychotic patients and partly following the concepts of von Zerssen. Patients were selected in six nosological categories according to Leonhard's classification of endogenous psychoses at the time of their "index-psychosis" in 1967-1974: unipolar depression (n=10), bipolar manic-depressive psychosis (n=14), affect-laden paraphrenia (n=13), periodic catatonia (n=19), systematic paraphrenias (n=10) and systematic catatonias (n=14). Factor analyses were made of the variables of each rating scales separately and of the combined variables of them. Ten factors were identified by the factor analysis of the variables of all the three rating scales at the 5-year follow-up: Dysthymic nervousness, Heboidity, Melancholicity, Irresoluteness, Hysteroid, Schizo-paranoid, Apathetic, Coenaesthtetic, Distress, Catatonoid. Nine of these ten factors were re-identified at the 21-33-year follow-up. Emergence of the new factor Insomnia at the 21-33-year follow-up may be attributed mainly to the ageing. Stability of the factor structure from the 5-year to the 21-33-year follow-up increased by the combination of the three rating scales step by step. Similarly, the number of the corresponding factors from the 5-year to the 21-33-year follow-up was increased by including the SSRS-Behav-items and/or the MAPRT-items in the factor analyses of the SSRS-Exp items. The factor Coenaesthtetic consisted only of SSRS-Exp-items at the 5-year follow-up and was associated with a personality type which refers to the affect-laden paraphrenia at the 21-33-year follow-up. This change of the factor structure from 5-year to the 21-33-year follow-up might sign the occurrence of Huber's coenaesthtetic schizophrenia. Three factors (Emotional deficit, Experienced defect and Apathetic) at the 5-year follow-up may indicate a core syndrome of the "pure defect" described by Huber. 	abstract = {Factors affecting object and action naming were compared in a timed picture-naming paradigm, for drawings of 520 objects and 275 actions, named by adult native speakers of English. Massive differences between object and action naming were observed for all dependent variables, and theoretically relevant differences emerged in the variables that predict retrieval of nouns vs. verbs in this task. Matching object and action items for variables like frequency, age of acquisition, or picture complexity does not result in a match for measures of naming difficulty (name agreement or latency). Conversely, object and action items matched for naming difficulty invariably differ in their other lexical and pictorial properties. A reaction time disadvantage for action naming remains even after controlling for picture properties, target word properties, name agreement itself (reflecting the differential ambiguity of nouns and verbs) as well as a measure of conceptual or psychological complexity based on the number of relevant objects in the scene. Surprisingly, frequency effects run in opposite directions for nouns (higher frequencies yield faster RTs) and verbs (higher frequencies are associated with slower RTs, reflecting a "light verb" strategy that speakers use for difficult items). Implications for method and theory in the study of lexical access are discussed, including relevance to a growing literature on the neurobiology and development of nouns and verbs.},

	abstract = {Background: Seasonal variation as well as gender differences of several phenomena of affective disorders are a common topic of interest. Methods: The authors analysed the possible effect of season and gender on the length of hospital stay in 529 in-patients with unipolar major depressive episode. Results: Age and menopausal status alone did not influence the length of hospitalisation but there was a statistical tendency (only for females) for the shortest hospital stay in summer, that reached significance in females younger than 50 years. Conclusions: The results suggest a possible seasonal and gender effect on recovery from major depression. Limitations: Retrospective nature of the study, lack of systematic assessment of clinical response and no data collection about marital status and living conditions, that also can influence the time of discharge. 	abstract = {The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of sleep and sleep
		deprivation on spike-wave discharges (SWD) in an idiopathic generalised
		epileptic patient population by continuous long term cassette EEG
		monitoring for 4 x 24 h. In ten patients with idiopathic generalised
		epilepsy, showing SWD during awake state and in sleep as well, EEG and
		sleep polygraphy was recorded for 4 x 24 h. Sleep was deprived during
		the second 24 h. Awake state, NREM1, NREM2, NREM3+4 and REM sleep
		duration and number of SWD episodes were evaluated in 4 min intervals
		by visual scoring. For analysing the effect of 'day' and 'night',
		'vigilance' and 'sleep deprivation' (SD) on the density variables
		multi-way ANOVAs were carried out in different designs. SWD densities
		for different vigilance states were not significantly different during
		'day' and 'night' in 24 h without SD or rebound after SD. Sleep had an
		activating effect SWD densities being the highest during NREM1 and
		NREM2. There was an increase of SWD densities in all vigilance states
		after SD, but SWD densities remained the highest in NREM1 and NREM2.
		Our results support the view that sleep dependent rather than sleep
		independent mechanisms cause activation of SWD after SD in generalised
		epilepsy. We assume that fine graded vigilance fluctuations, that are
		more frequent after SD, have an essential role in SWD activation in
