In the past few years, researchers and academicians have developed a huge interest in the notion of a ‘happiness economy’ that aims to prioritize subjective well-being and life satisfaction over traditional economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Over the past few years, many countries have adopted a happiness and well-being-oriented framework to re-design the welfare policies and assess environmental, social, economic, and sustainable progress. Such a policy framework focuses on human and planetary well-being instead of material growth and income. The present study offers a comprehensive summary of the existing studies on the subject, exploring how a happiness economy framework can help achieve sustainable development. For this purpose, a systematic literature review (SLR) summarised 257 research publications from 1995 to 2023. The review yielded five major thematic clusters, namely- (i) Going beyond GDP: Transition towards happiness economy, (ii) Rethinking growth for sustainability and ecological regeneration, (iii) Beyond money and happiness policy, (iv) Health, human capital and wellbeing and (v) Policy push for happiness economy. Furthermore, the study proposes future research directions to help researchers and policymakers build a happiness economy framework.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, orcid-numbers = {Agrawal, Shruti/0000-0002-1620-9429; Dhayal, Karambir Singh/0000-0002-0000-4330; Esposito, Luca/0000-0001-5983-6898} } @article{MTMT:35085160, title = {The role of institutions and social inclusion in trust building}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/35085160}, author = {Akram, S. and Pervaiz, Z.}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-024-01851-8}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, unique-id = {35085160}, issn = {0033-5177}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845} } @article{MTMT:34973260, title = {Tourism marketing, ileity and the construction of a real ideality}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34973260}, author = {de, Carvalho A.D. and Oliveira, C.}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-024-01878-x}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, volume = {2024}, unique-id = {34973260}, issn = {0033-5177}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, pages = {1-15} } @article{MTMT:34835096, title = {Unit-log-symmetric models: characterization, statistical properties and their applications to analyzing an internet access data}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34835096}, author = {Vila, Roberto and Balakrishnan, Narayanaswamy and Saulo, Helton and Zörnig, Peter}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-024-01879-w}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, volume = {Online first}, unique-id = {34835096}, issn = {0033-5177}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, pages = {1}, orcid-numbers = {Vila, Roberto/0000-0003-1073-0114; Balakrishnan, Narayanaswamy/0000-0001-5842-8892; Saulo, Helton/0000-0002-4467-8652; Zörnig, Peter/0000-0002-1094-3972} } @article{MTMT:34791632, title = {A new approach for measuring and analysing residential segregation}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34791632}, author = {De Falco, Antonio and Irpino, Antonio}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-024-01867-0}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, volume = {.}, unique-id = {34791632}, issn = {0033-5177}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, pages = {1}, orcid-numbers = {De Falco, Antonio/0000-0002-7892-9691; Irpino, Antonio/0000-0001-9293-7180} } @article{MTMT:34788582, title = {The importance of social media and brand trust to promote tourism brands: case study in Ho Chi Minh City}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34788582}, author = {Hung, Nguyen Phuc}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-024-01863-4}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, volume = {1}, unique-id = {34788582}, issn = {0033-5177}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, pages = {1}, orcid-numbers = {Hung, Nguyen Phuc/0000-0002-0687-4898} } @article{MTMT:34774731, title = {Evaluation of sustainability reporting of the food industry in Hungary from an EU taxonomy perspective}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34774731}, author = {Lámfalusi, Ibolya and Hámori, Judit and Rózsa, Andrea and Hegyi, Judit and Kacz, Károly and Miklósné Varga, Anita and Troján, Szabolcs and Gombkötő, Nóra}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-024-01873-2}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, unique-id = {34774731}, issn = {0033-5177}, abstract = {Compliance with green requirements is becoming increasingly important in assessing the performance of companies. The new CSRD legislation requires a wider range of companies to produce sustainability reports and their content is influenced by the EU's taxonomy regulation setting out the framework for sustainable finance. The disclosure of information affects the perception of companies' sustainability performance, which will affect their access to financial resources and development opportunities. The main question is, both in theory and in practice, how companies can comply with the legislation in the future. It is essential for the competitiveness of Hungary's food industry to keep pace with future environmental sustainability requirements, so we examined the sustainability reporting practices of the sector's key companies in terms of their contribution to the environmental objectives set out in the taxonomy regulation. The research fits well with the EU's overall green transition regulatory procedure and our study is gap-filling at macro-regional and sectoral levels. The sustainability reports were assessed by content analysis using a scoring method. The results show that the sustainability reporting practices of food processing companies in Hungary differ significantly. Furthermore, greater emphasis must be placed on reporting and the credibility of the reports to meet future expectations. Foreign-owned companies and companies with more than 500 employees attribute greater importance to reporting. In the food processing sector, the disclosure of information and data under the taxonomy objectives of mitigation of climate change, sustainable use of water and marine resources, and transition to a circular economy was most common.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, orcid-numbers = {Hámori, Judit/0009-0003-2835-3342; Kacz, Károly/0000-0002-4442-0600; Troján, Szabolcs/0000-0003-0186-5949; Gombkötő, Nóra/0000-0003-1860-434X} } @article{MTMT:34569042, title = {The impact of gender inclusion on the profits of global public tourism companies}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34569042}, author = {De, la Torre-Torres O.V. and Bollain-Parra, L. and Álvarez-García, J. and Galeana-Figueroa, E.}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-023-01816-3}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, unique-id = {34569042}, issn = {0033-5177}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845} } @article{MTMT:34562971, title = {Scale matters: unravelling the impact of Likert scales on political self-placement}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34562971}, author = {Aybar, Cristina and Pérez, Virgilio and Pavía, Jose M.}, doi = {10.1007/s11135-023-01825-2}, journal-iso = {QUAL QUANT}, journal = {QUALITY AND QUANTITY: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF METHODOLOGY}, volume = {1}, unique-id = {34562971}, issn = {0033-5177}, abstract = {Worldwide, Likert scales are used to measure ideology of both public opinion and individual voters, with the utilization of a self-assessment numerical scale as the most widely accepted tool, despite the multifaceted nature of the concept. However, in contrast to this prevailing consensus, there is a lack of agreement regarding what particular scale should be used and about the benefits of the different scales. This paper seeks to provide insights into these questions by analysing Spanish public opinion ideology as measured by CIS surveys. In 1976, the Centre for Sociological Research (CIS), a leading public body for studies of Spanish society, defined the ideological self-placement scale as being from 1 to 10. Since then, a myriad of different scales has been applied by CIS in more than 1400 surveys (over 3.5 million interviews). In total, we identify 20 scales in studies with available microdata, with the number rising to 28 when all the CIS studies carried out are included. This research identifies which scale is used in each study and analyses whether this has an effect on the estimation of the ideological distribution of the population. After studying, from an empirical perspective, the relationship structures between the different scales, we conclude that the scale used does have an effect. We finish the paper by offering clear guidelines on how questionnaires related to ideology should be asked.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1573-7845}, pages = {1}, orcid-numbers = {Aybar, Cristina/0000-0001-8887-8405; Pérez, Virgilio/0000-0002-7628-2855; Pavía, Jose M./0000-0002-0129-726X} }
