Within the methodological approach, both objects are perceived in the roles of metropolitan power and colony. This theoretical framework serves to test the criteria and signs of colonialism in objects relations. The aim of the work is insight into the possible concept and essence of Czech colonialism in Subcarpathian Rus in the interwar period, or revision of its previous interpretations. The output of the text is a model of the so-called Enlightenment colonialism, applicable to the relations between the historical Czech lands and Subcarpathian Rus. According to this model, the „colony”, which is in an unequal and dependent position in relation to the „metropolis“, at the same time receives opportunities and investments on the path of transformation into a more sovereign and self-sufficient political, social and cultural entity.}, year = {2025}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {142-161}, orcid-numbers = {Erdeli, Dmytro/0000-0002-7521-5036} } @article{MTMT:36981531, title = {Hranice chotárov a polí ako nástroje a limity sociálnej disciplinizácie poddaných v Uhorsku na prelome 18. a 19. storočia}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36981531}, author = {Slavomir, Zelenák}, journal-iso = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY}, journal = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY / CULTURAL HISTORY / KULTURGESCHICHTE}, volume = {2025}, unique-id = {36981531}, issn = {1338-2209}, year = {2025}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {65-85} } @article{MTMT:36177014, title = {Šľachtické odievanie podľa korešpondencie Judity Balassovej v 2. polovici 17. storočia}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36177014}, author = {Danková, Sabina}, doi = {10.54937/kd.2025.16.1.6-23}, journal-iso = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY}, journal = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY / CULTURAL HISTORY / KULTURGESCHICHTE}, volume = {16}, unique-id = {36177014}, issn = {1338-2209}, abstract = {The correspondence of the nobility is an invaluable source of knowledge of early medieval clothing culture. Clothing not only provided protection from the weather, but also reflected personal and family identity, status, and wealth. The letters reveal the importance of clothing in everyday life. They provide details of specific items of clothing, materials, colours, cuts and decoration, which are particularly valuable in cases where other types of sources are not available. In terms of everyday practice, they offer a closer insight into the acquisition, wearing and care of clothing. In this paper, I examine clothing culture based on the correspondence of baroness Judith Balassa (c. 1630 – c. 1685), second wife of Stephen Koháry I. (1616 – 1664), between the 1650s to 1680s. First, I focus on the function of clothing and on its importance in terms of representativeness. Next, I characterize the dress itself in the context of influences and developments in the period, based on data from family correspondence. Finally, I analyse the means by which Judith Balassa and her immediate family acquired clothing and textiles.}, year = {2025}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {6-23}, orcid-numbers = {Danková, Sabina/0009-0008-5431-7309} } @article{MTMT:35463862, title = {Anotácie, nové knihy}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/35463862}, author = {Samuel, Červeňanský}, journal-iso = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY}, journal = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY / CULTURAL HISTORY / KULTURGESCHICHTE}, volume = {14}, unique-id = {35463862}, issn = {1338-2209}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {127-128} } @article{MTMT:35772454, title = {„Kauza Dechet” očami Svätej stolice}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/35772454}, author = {Hrabovec, Emília}, doi = {10.54937/kd.2024.15.2.172-196}, journal-iso = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY}, journal = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY / CULTURAL HISTORY / KULTURGESCHICHTE}, volume = {15}, unique-id = {35772454}, issn = {1338-2209}, abstract = {One of the most radical interventions of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia against the Catholic Church was the forcible installation of the administrator Ján Dechet in the Banská Bystrica diocese after the death of Bishop Andrej Škrábik, and later his staged election as Vicar Capitular. Its aim was to break the unity of the Church, to create within its ranks collaborating groups of “patriotic priests” and thus to dominate the Church not only by external violent means, but also from within. Previous historical reflection on these events has been limited to the reconstruction of Church-State relations on the basis of domestic historical sources. The present study, based on recently released Vatican documents from the pontificate of Pius XII, puts the events into an international context and analyses for the first time the attitude of the Holy See towards the draconian intervention of the communist state, which unfolded in a field of tension between, on the one hand, a resolute rejection of communism and its encroachments on the freedom of the Church and an international anticommunist mobilisation, and, on the other hand, an attempt, at least in part, to reorganise and tolerate the situation, and, through a series of extraordinary measures and faculties, to allow for the proper administration of the diocese and the running of ecclesiastical life.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {172-196}, orcid-numbers = {Hrabovec, Emília/0000-0002-9601-0486} } @article{MTMT:36397937, title = {Hrad a panstvo Revište v období habsburskej komorskej správy}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36397937}, author = {Lacko, Miroslav}, doi = {10.54937/kd.2024.15.2.151-171}, journal-iso = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY}, journal = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY / CULTURAL HISTORY / KULTURGESCHICHTE}, volume = {15}, unique-id = {36397937}, issn = {1338-2209}, abstract = {Although the state administration became a largest landowner in the whole Hungarian Kingdom until 1787, state-administrated estates and castles were not in focus of systematic historical research yet. This paper is focussed on acquirement, governing and material culture of the Revište castle and domain during the Habsburg state administration, i.e. from its assumption by the chamber government in 1661 to a loss of commercial and political importance of the state mining enterprising in the second decade of the nineteenth century. The Revište domain situated in the Lower Hungarian mining district (in present-day Central Slovakia) represented a worth material basis for the complex of state mining enterprises in the eighteenth century. Especially in the second half of the eighteenth century, the Revište chamber estate was the most profitable state dominion in large district of the Chief Chamber-County Office (Oberstkammergrafenamt) in Banská Štiavnica. The agrarian production on the Revište dominion was centred on a saturation of material needs of the state mining enterprising, and mainly on breeding the vehicular animals that were used in carter's business as well as in supplying the populous labourers with baking products and beer.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {151-171}, orcid-numbers = {Lacko, Miroslav/0009-0002-5491-0598} } @article{MTMT:36878207, title = {Ľubovnianska mátoha v opise Spišskej stolice od Mateja Bela}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36878207}, author = {František, Šimon}, journal-iso = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY}, journal = {KULTÚRNE DEJINY / CULTURAL HISTORY / KULTURGESCHICHTE}, volume = {2024}, unique-id = {36878207}, issn = {1338-2209}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {137-150} } @article{MTMT:34038796, title = {„Problémy neskorej Rímskej ríše mi v mnohom pripomínajú tie naše”. The aim of our study is the analysis of the dispute that broke out between Nicholas de Oradea, provincial of the Augustinian order, and friar Nicholas de Frusten, later bishop of Belgrade. It seems that the local conflict, thanks to an appeal, reached the prior general of the Augustinians, Gregor de Rimini, who sent several visitators and a vicar to Hungary. In the Hungarian province, the dispute caused great tension, which led to the imprisonment of the visitors and the escape of Nicholas de Frusten to Vienna. The conflict apparently intensified at the extraordinary provincial chapter of the Hungarian Augustinians, which was held sometime between April and July 1358, where the provincial prior could also be dismissed. The conflict was also an example of the use of medieval religious law and its application in practice. Despite the strictly hierarchical system, the Hungarian province probably had a large degree of autonomy, and the prior general was unable to depose the provincial. Like most disputes, this one was eventually settled and both personalities continued to work in Hungary in the following period. They gradually disappear from our information. We will be interested in what the cause of the conflict was, how the dispute proceeded and finally how the whole matter was resolved. How did the prior general of the Augustinian order use his options to settle the dispute? How did the religious visitators work? At the same time, I will ask myself whether the dispute was part of the initial reform of the religious life of the Augustinians.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2989-3313}, pages = {59-69}, orcid-numbers = {Huťka, Miroslav/0000-0001-8927-3539} }
