Contributions to Positioning, Velocimetery and Jerkmetery PY - 2020 SP - 110 UR - https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/31368952 ID - 31368952 AB - Pose determination is by definition the estimation of the position and the orientation of a moving object. It is theoretically possible to obtain an estimation of the position from velocity by integration or by double integration of the acceleration that could be provided by an accelerometer. In real case, some limitations (mainly technological and computational limitations) prevent obtaining correct estimations of the navigation parameters. However, a major part of this work treats the estimation of the speed (by new methods) and the Jerk. These physical quantities are considered as inputs of the mathematical model proposed for the estimation of the position of a moving object. The work is related to pose determination which involves techniques that could improve the estimation of the position, velocity, acceleration, Jerk and orientation. Much of my researches have been dedicated to data preparation which involves filtering methods using hardware targets (analog and digital signal processing). Then by means of this data preparation procedure we could be able to obtain filtered data that helps for pose determination and consequently orientation estimation. Classically, it is certainly noticeable that the use of Kalman filters in the field of navigation is unavoidable due to its robustness against measurement and model uncertainties. Nevertheless, in this work a KF (Kalman filter) has been implemented for positioning, accelerometery and jerkmetery, the motivation was to contribute to the improvement of the estimation of the position, velocity and Jerk by proposing new methods which involve other strong tools I denote AI (Artificial Intelligence), Hybrid Reconfigurability, Gradient Descent and IFe (Instantaneous Frequency estimation) LA - English DB - MTMT ER - TY - JOUR AU - Bouzid, Ahmed AU - Vásárhelyi, József TI - Implementation and Experimentation of an Embedded Data Acquisition/Preprocessing System based on a Hybrid Reconfigurable Hardware Accelerator for Inertial Measurements JF - IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS J2 - IEEE T IND APPL VL - 56 PY - 2020 IS - 2 SP - 2012 EP - 2019 PG - 9 SN - 0093-9994 DO - 10.1109/TIA.2020.2965888 UR - https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/31128866 ID - 31128866 AB - The use of MEMS sensors grows steadily since it’s the cheapest way to get an information about the inertial state of a moving object. However, preprocessing inertial data using hybrid reconfigurability is challenging. The work related to this article consists of analysing noise generated by a multisensor data acquisition and preprocessing system that has been implemented to interface inertial sensors (particularly accelerometers and gyroscopes). For the purpose, a MRVA (multichannel reconfigurable voltage attenuator) based on FPAA, an alternative to classical voltage dividers, has been created to interface the sensors with the FPGA. The paper describes a hardware accelerator implementation of two calibration/denoising processes based on Moving Average Filters in order to select the appropriate one for preparation of IMU data. The MRVA is interfaced via XADC of Xilinx FPGA where an IP have been designed for the purpose of hardware acceleration using System Generator. LA - English DB - MTMT ER - TY - CHAP AU - L.
