Combining the different approaches represented by lean and change management can support the success of lean projects and the organisation. As lean transformations are inevitably radical changes in organisations, they must be supported suitably by change management techniques. We show how the success of such a change can be forecasted and how the preparation and implementation phase can be supported with the help of change management. This paper presents a case study where a new lean tool, an online kanban board, is introduced into the operation of a service SME. Based on the case study, we recommend using the presented change management tools for lean implementations.}, keywords = {Change management; Lean management}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1744-2389}, orcid-numbers = {Kalló, Noémi/0000-0003-3193-081X; Pataki, Béla/0000-0001-6905-1795} } @article{MTMT:34860911, title = {Stable source connection and assignment problems as multi-period shortest path problems}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34860911}, author = {Streekstra, Leanne and Trudeau, C.}, doi = {10.1007/s00182-024-00896-1}, journal-iso = {INT J GAME THEORY}, journal = {INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF GAME THEORY}, unique-id = {34860911}, issn = {0020-7276}, abstract = {We extend the familiar shortest path problem by supposing that agents have demands over multiple periods. This potentially allows agents to combine their paths if their demands are complementary; for instance if one agent only needs a connection to the source in the summer while the other requires it only in the winter. We not only show that the resulting cost sharing problem always generates a totally balanced game, regardless of the number of agents and periods, the cost structure or the demand profile, but that all totally balanced games are representable as multi-period shortest path problems. We then exploit the fact that the model encompasses many well-studied problems to obtain or reobtain balancedness and total balancedness results for source-connection problems, assignment problems and minimum coloring problems. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.}, keywords = {ASSIGNMENT; CORE; Cooperative game; Shortest path; D63; C71; Demand over multiple periods; Source-connection; Total balancedness}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1432-1270} } @inbook{MTMT:34858719, title = {Pedagógusok élethosszig tartó tanulását célzó attitűd vizsgálat}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34858719}, author = {Bognár-Szilárd, Boglárka and Kálmán, Anikó}, booktitle = {15th International Conference of J. Managers in the same industry differ in respect of their willingness to adopt coopetition. To better understand coopetitive decision-making, we need a model whereby such decisions can be experimented with and analysed. An important prerequisite of such a model would be its capacity to measure the performance consequences of coopetitive interactions at both firm and relationship levels. We show that existing operationalisation has limited capacity to do that. Based on existing game theoretical constructs, we propose a new operationalisation of a coopetitive decision-making episode in horizontal business relationships using a two-step sequential game. We suggest developing what we term a “coopetitive composite solution matrix” by summing up the payoff functions of the two steps of the game. The suggested operationalisation has the capacity to measure all the potential performance consequences of a complex piece of coopetitive decision-making in an episode. In this way, the decision problem’s cognitive representation becomes straightforward and analysis of the impact of the behavioural attributes of managers on the actual decision-making process is unambiguous.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1587-3803}, pages = {1-12}, orcid-numbers = {Gelei, Andrea/0000-0001-8861-8275; Dobos, Imre/0000-0001-6248-2920} } @article{MTMT:34846756, title = {Measuring team situation awareness through team communication: A study on nuclear main control room crews}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34846756}, author = {Takács, Veronika Klára and Juhász, Márta}, doi = {10.5055/jem.0815}, journal-iso = {Journal of Emergency Management}, journal = {Journal of Emergency Management}, volume = {22}, unique-id = {34846756}, issn = {1543-5865}, abstract = {Situation awareness (SA) in complex socio-technical systems is considered a key cognitive activity, as control crews are often engaged in simultaneous task processes and are required to monitor and evaluate system parameters, making decisions and projections for the future accordingly. However, measuring SA at the team level is still a challenging area of research within the topic. In our research, we applied verbal protocol analysis as an alternative method to assess nuclear power plant control room crews' team SA. We conducted a study of 10 control room crews, examining their intrateam communication and its relatedness to team performance. We have found that communication categories related to the second and third levels of team SA increased significantly after the onset of an emergency event. Furthermore, while none of the team communication categories was related to team performance before the emergency event, all of them showed a strong positive correlation with team performance after the emergency situation occurred. Our results underline the importance of adequate verbalization of key information within the team, so as to support the rapid and accurate development of team SA during emergency situations.}, keywords = {Adult; Adult; Female; Female; Male; Male; Humans; human; COMMUNICATION; awareness; awareness; interpersonal communication; Nuclear power plant; Nuclear power plants; Group Processes; group process}, year = {2024}, pages = {139-154}, orcid-numbers = {Juhász, Márta/0000-0002-3481-522X} } @inbook{MTMT:34832879, title = {The Galilean Principle of Relativity: The Ultimate Fundament of Moral Inversion}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34832879}, author = {Paksi, Dániel}, booktitle = {Science, Faith, Society: new essays on the philosophy of Michael Polanyi}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-031-51228-5_11}, volume = {13}, unique-id = {34832879}, abstract = {In this paper, I will present Michael Polanyi’s concept of moral inversion, which is the political end-point of a widespread intellectual phenomenon in science that Polanyi called “spurious” forms of moral inversion. Then, I will argue that this phenomenon is already embedded in Galileo Galilei’s own practical (anti-metaphysical, proto-positivist) interpretation of his own principle of relativity, which is one of the core fundaments of our scientific worldview today. Finally, I will show that Polanyi’s critique of Galilean thinking and its neglect, moreover, denial of morality—in that it sharply separates science from morality— also has deeper roots. Polanyi’s critique is based on Samuel Alexander’s concept of emergence. Alexander’s concept is a broader philosophical understanding of the Galilean principle which solves the problem of moral inversion created by Galilei’s own narrow and practical interpretation of the principle. It does this by showing that relative centres are real and moral ascent is possible. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.}, keywords = {emergence; Personal knowledge; Albert Einstein; Michael Polanyi; centres; Galileo Galilei; Moral inversion; Principle of reality; Samuel Alexander}, year = {2024}, pages = {233-249} } @{MTMT:34818733, title = {AZ AIRBNB SZEREPE NAPJAINKBAN.
