The resulting potential leakage path can be imagined as a series of discontinuities varying in size over wide limits, where voids of different volumes are connected by channels of smaller cross section. Although vacuum impregnation is often used to ensure pressure-tightness is a robust technology, cavity systems through the casting can still cause leakage after impregnation. This study addresses the issues of the impregnation of discontinuities with a complex geometry. The elementary part of a complex cavity geometry consists of a cavity and a capillary channel. We estimated the limited permeability of the capillary section using a mathematical model based on the Hagen–Poiseuille equation. The calculation results prove that the degree of filling of the cavity with a capillary section is basically a function of the geometrical characteristics of the cavity, primarily the radius of the capillary. If the cavity system also contains a section with a diameter of less than 28 μm, impregnation does not necessarily ensure the gas tightness of the casting. Depending on the radius of the capillary, the impregnation of a cavity of a given volume and connected to the surface through a capillary section of a given length can produce three different results. Above a certain capillary radius, filling is complete, below a certain capillary radius only the capillary itself will contain resin, and between the two limit values, the partial impregnation of the cavity is expected but the capillary section is not filled.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2163-3193}, orcid-numbers = {Réti, Tamás/0000-0002-8972-7884} } @article{MTMT:34439418, title = {Fractional order inspired iterative adaptive control}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34439418}, author = {Varga, Bence and Tar, József and Horváth, Richárd}, doi = {10.1017/S0263574723001595}, journal-iso = {ROBOTICA}, journal = {ROBOTICA}, volume = {42}, unique-id = {34439418}, issn = {0263-5747}, abstract = {Although several studies have revealed that fractional order controllers usually outperform conventional integer-order control solutions, fractional order controllers are not yet widely applied in industrial applications due to their complex mathematical background. In this paper, further improvements of a simple weighted sum feedback design are introduced that imitates the behavior of a fractional order controller but is free from its various formal restrictions. The proposed control solution has the main characteristics of a fractional order controller, such as finite memory length, excellent transient response with no overshoot and robust behavior, but it is placed into a much simpler mathematical framework. In the current paper, a simple derivative term was incorporated in the design which made the controller’s output more stable by completely eliminating output chattering. The proposed control method was developed for a general second-order system. It was tested in a fixed point iteration-based adaptive control scenario, through simulations using a robotic example and on experimental basis as well, utilizing a simple one-degree-of-freedom electromechanical system. A vizsgálatokat 4 mm vastag ABS-lemezeken hajtottuk végre, hagyományos szerszámkialakítás mellett. A bemeneti paramétereket (fordulatszám, előtolási sebesség) 3-3 szinten változtattuk, és teljes kísérlettervet hajtottunk végre. Az erőmérésekből azt a következtetést vontuk le, hogy a hegesztés során fellépő erőértékek közül az előtolási irányú erő (Fy) és az axiális irányú erő (Fz) a domináns. A fordulatszám és az előtolási sebesség (n/vf ) arányszáma növelésével csökkennek az erőkomponensek, míg az előtolási sebesség növekedésével nőnek. A varrat szakítószilárdsága a fordulatszám és az n/vf arányszám növelésével javul, míg az előtolási sebesség növelésével romlik. A legjobb varratszilárdságot (10,69 MPa) 1000 1/perc fordulatszámon és 50 mm/perc előtolási sebességnél mértük.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2668-1366}, pages = {53-58} }
