It is one of the few lakes where eutrophication processes have been successfully reversed. The creation of a wetland area on the lower part of the main inflow river played a major role in the re-oligotrophication processes. After several decades of operation and multiple transformations, an attempt was made to explore the microbial community of the water reservoir and its relationship with algal groups and environmental parameters. In the main inflow river, floods had the greatest effect on the microbial community composition, while in the open water areas of the wetland system, the algae production that develops due to external nutrient load was the main driver of the bacterial community. In the high-macrophyte-covered areas, the decomposition processes of the dying algae biomass were the most decisive. Finally, in the large open water areas of Lake Balaton, the external and internal nutrient loads together determined the algal production and thus the bacterial community composition.}, year = {2022}, eissn = {2073-4441}, orcid-numbers = {Kaszab, Edit/0000-0002-5917-0464; Háhn, Judit/0000-0003-1787-5359; Tóth, Gergő/0000-0002-0302-2681; Harkai, Péter/0000-0002-6038-4961} } @article{MTMT:33106653, title = {Photosynthesis Monitoring in Microalgae Cultures Grown on Municipal Wastewater as a Nutrient Source in Large-Scale Outdoor Bioreactors}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33106653}, author = {Masojídek, Jiří and Gómez-Serrano, Cintia and Ranglová, Karolína and Cicchi, Bernardo and Encinas Bogeat, Ángel and Câmara Manoel, João A. and Sanches Zurano, Ana and Silva Benavides, Ana Margarita and Barceló-Villalobos, Marta and Robles Carnero, Victor A. and Ördög, Vince and Gómez Pinchetti, Juan Luis and Vörös, Lajos and Rogalla, Frank and Torzillo, Giuseppe and Lopez Figueroa, Félix and Acién-Fernándéz, Francisco Gabriel}, doi = {10.3390/biology11101380}, journal-iso = {BIOLOGY-BASEL}, journal = {BIOLOGY-BASEL}, volume = {11}, unique-id = {33106653}, abstract = {Microalgae cultures were used for a WW treatment to remediate nutrients while producing biomass and recycling water. In these trials, raceway ponds (RWPs; 1 and 0.5 ha) were located next to a municipal (WW) treatment plant in Mérida, Spain. The ponds were used for continuous, all-year-round microalgae production using WW as a source of nutrients. Neither CO2 nor air was supplied to cultures. The objective was to validate photosynthesis monitoring techniques in large-scale bioreactors. Various in-situ/ex-situ methods based on chlorophyll fluorescence and oxygen evolution measurements were used to follow culture performance. Photosynthesis variables gathered with these techniques were compared to the physiological behavior and growth of cultures. Good photosynthetic activity was indicated by the build-up of dissolved oxygen concentration up to 380% saturation, high photochemical yield (Fv/Fm = 0.62–0.71), and relative electron transport rate rETR between 200 and 450 μmol e− m−2 s−1 at midday, which resulted in biomass productivity of about 15–25 g DW m−2 day−1. The variables represent reliable markers reflecting the physiological status of microalgae cultures. Using waste nutrients, the biomass production cost can be significantly decreased for abundant biomass production in large-scale bioreactors, which can be exploited for agricultural purposes.}, year = {2022}, eissn = {2079-7737}, orcid-numbers = {Masojídek, Jiří/0000-0003-3638-0183; Gómez-Serrano, Cintia/0000-0002-6993-9302; Câmara Manoel, João A./0000-0001-8695-8196; Sanches Zurano, Ana/0000-0002-9746-2935; Gómez Pinchetti, Juan Luis/0000-0003-4668-0462; Rogalla, Frank/0000-0002-3066-0689; Torzillo, Giuseppe/0000-0003-3621-8303; Lopez Figueroa, Félix/0000-0003-3580-4693; Acién-Fernándéz, Francisco Gabriel/0000-0002-8434-0365} } @article{MTMT:32787593, title = {Where the Little Ones Play the Main Role—Picophytoplankton Predominance in the Soda and Hypersaline Lakes of the Carpathian Basin}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32787593}, author = {Somogyi, Boglárka and Felföldi, Tamás and Boros, Emil and Szabó, Attila and Vörös, Lajos}, doi = {10.3390/microorganisms10040818}, journal-iso = {MICROORGANISMS}, journal = {MICROORGANISMS}, volume = {10}, unique-id = {32787593}, issn = {2076-2607}, year = {2022}, eissn = {2076-2607}, orcid-numbers = {Felföldi, Tamás/0000-0003-2009-2478} } @article{MTMT:32765002, title = {Dense macrophyte cover has significant structural and functional influence on planktonic microbial communities leading to bacterial success}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32765002}, author = {Somogyi, Boglárka and Boros, Emil and Szabó-Tugyi, Nóra and Kovács, Attila and Vörös, Lajos}, doi = {10.1016/j.scitotenv.2022.154576}, journal-iso = {SCI TOTAL ENVIRON}, journal = {SCIENCE OF THE TOTAL ENVIRONMENT}, volume = {829}, unique-id = {32765002}, issn = {0048-9697}, year = {2022}, eissn = {1879-1026} } @misc{MTMT:34851315, title = {Csökkenő jégborítás, csökkenő algaméret?}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34851315}, author = {Somogyi, Boglárka and Vörös, Lajos and Bernát, Gábor}, unique-id = {34851315}, year = {2021}, orcid-numbers = {Bernát, Gábor/0000-0001-6147-9391} } @misc{MTMT:33685400, title = {Seasonal bacterial variability of Lake Balaton and Kis-Balaton Water Protection System}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33685400}, author = {Farkas, Milán and Kaszab, Edit and Radó, Júlia and Háhn, Judit and Tóth, Gergő and Harkai, Péter and Ferincz, Árpád and Lovász, Zsófia and Táncsics, András and Vörös, Lajos and Kriszt, Balázs and Szoboszlay, Sándor}, unique-id = {33685400}, year = {2021}, orcid-numbers = {Kaszab, Edit/0000-0002-5917-0464; Háhn, Judit/0000-0003-1787-5359; Harkai, Péter/0000-0002-6038-4961} } @article{MTMT:32101727, title = {Extreme guanotrophication by phosphorus in contradiction with the productivity of alkaline soda pan ecosystems}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32101727}, author = {Boros, Emil and Takács, Anita and Dobosy, Péter and Vörös, Lajos}, doi = {10.1016/j.scitotenv.2021.148300}, journal-iso = {SCI TOTAL ENVIRON}, journal = {SCIENCE OF THE TOTAL ENVIRONMENT}, volume = {793}, unique-id = {32101727}, issn = {0048-9697}, year = {2021}, eissn = {1879-1026}, orcid-numbers = {Takács, Anita/0009-0005-7300-4349} } @article{MTMT:31920580, title = {Photomorphogenesis in the Picocyanobacterium Cyanobium gracile Includes Increased Phycobilisome Abundance Under Blue Light, Phycobilisome Decoupling Under Near Far-Red Light, and Wavelength-Specific Photoprotective Strategies}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/31920580}, author = {Bernát, Gábor and Zavřel, Tomáš and Kotabová, Eva and Kovács, László and Steinbach, Gábor and Vörös, Lajos and Prášil, Ondřej and Somogyi, Boglárka and Tóth, Viktor R.}, doi = {10.3389/fpls.2021.612302}, journal-iso = {FRONT PLANT SCI}, journal = {FRONTIERS IN PLANT SCIENCE}, volume = {12}, unique-id = {31920580}, issn = {1664-462X}, year = {2021}, eissn = {1664-462X}, orcid-numbers = {Bernát, Gábor/0000-0001-6147-9391; Steinbach, Gábor/0000-0001-7137-7030} }
