The CAS-R's construct validity may be questionable in different cultural contexts. Conclusions/applications based on inaccurate construct validity can be misleading and incorrect. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Arabic version of the CAS-R.Within a cross-sectional design involving 180 Omani patients with heart failure (mean age = 70.3 ± 9.8 years, 51.7% females), exploratory/confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and multigroup CFA were used to evaluate the construct validity and measurement invariance of the CAS-R across gender and marital groups. In exploratory factor analysis, 2 factors with eigenvalues >1 explained 37.9% of the variance. Despite the poor fit of the unidimensional CAS-R, CFA revealed an excellent fit of a 2-factor structure. Negative (5 and 8) and cross-loading items (1) contributed to scale variance at the configural level. Eliminating negative items and item 6 improved model fit, reliability (Cronbach's α = 0.66 vs. 0.56), and invariance at all levels. In support of its convergent and criterion validity, the CAS-R 5 correlated with the CAS-R and depression (r = 0.953, -0.268; P values <.01).Negative items comprised a minor weak factor (helplessness) that was not stable across groups. Eliminating items 5, 6, and 8 resulted in a clean invariant short form (CAS-R 5) with superior properties that may implicate nursing decisions and interventions concerning perceived control.}, keywords = {heart failure; measurement invariance; known-group validity; Arabic Control Attitudes Scale-Revised; Arabic Patient Health Questionnaire-2}, year = {2026}, eissn = {1550-5049}, pages = {E370-E378}, orcid-numbers = {Karamánné Pakai, Annamária/0000-0002-2849-1310} } @article{MTMT:36948146, title = {Szakmai életminőség a védőnői hivatásban. A hivatás érzelmi megterheléssel járó természete indokolttá teszi a védőfaktorok és a kockázati tényezők átfogó vizsgálatát. Célkitűzés: A kutatás célja a védőnők szakmai életminőségét meghatározó személyes, munkaköri, szakmai támogatási tényezők feltárása, valamint azok pozitív és negatív irányú hatásainak azonosítása volt. Módszer: Keresztmetszeti, kérdőíves vizsgálatunkat védőnők (n = 286) körében végeztük, akik hivatásukat legalább 2 éve gyakorolták. A felmérés saját szerkesztésű kérdéseink mellett a szakmai életminőség több dimenzióját mérte a ProQOL standardizált kérdőív segítségével. Eredmények: Az életkor növekedése a munkával való elégedettség emelkedésével és az érzelmi túlterheltség csökkenésével járt. A magasabb iskolai végzettség kedvezőbb szakmai életminőséggel társult. A párkapcsolat stabilizáló tényezőként működött. A munkaköri sajátosságok közül a vegyes körzetben dolgozók nagyobb érzelmi terhelést éltek meg, de több pozitív segítő élményt tapasztaltak. A helyettesítés fokozta az együttérzésből fakadó elégedettséget, hosszabb fennállása növelte a másodlagos traumatizáltságot. A szakmai továbbképzések és az esetmegbeszélések szignifikánsan javították a pozitív szakmai életminőségi mutatókat, míg a ritkán elérhető szupervízió erőteljes védelmet nyújtott a kiégés és a másodlagos traumatizáltság ellen. Megbeszélés: Eredményeink megerősítik, hogy a személyes erőforrások, a munkaköri tényezők és a szakmai támogatási rendszerek egyaránt meghatározóak a védőnők mentális jólléte szempontjából. A pozitív élmények és a támogatási formák rendszeres jelenléte képes mérsékelni a hivatásból eredő pszichés terhelést. Következtetés: A szakmai támogatási rendszerek fejlesztése, a továbbképzések, az esetmegbeszélések és a szupervízió szélesebb körű és hozzáférhető biztosítása kulcsfontosságú a védőnők szakmai életminőségének javítása és mentális egészségének megőrzése érdekében. Orv Hetil. 2026; 167(7): 274–285. | Introduction: The professional quality of life of health visitors is a multidimensional construct. The emotionally de- manding nature of the profession necessitates a comprehensive examination of both protective and risk factors. Objective: The study aimed to explore the personal, job-related, and professional support factors determining the professional quality of life of health visitors, and to identify their positive and negative effects. Method: A cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was conducted among health visitors (N = 286) who had been practicing for at least two years. Alongside self-developed items, the survey assessed multiple dimensions of profes- sional quality of life using the standardized ProQOL instrument. Results: Higher age was associated with greater work satisfaction and lower emotional overload. A higher level of education was related to a more favourable professional quality of life. Being in a stable relationship functioned as a protective factor. Among job-related characteristics, nurses working in mixed districts experienced greater emotional burden but also reported more positive helping experiences. Substitution increased compassion satisfaction, while prolonged substitution elevated secondary traumatic stress. Professional development activities and case discussions significantly enhanced positive indicators of professional quality of life, whereas limited availability of supervision provided strong protection against burnout and secondary traumatic stress. Discussion: The findings confirm that personal resources, job characteristics, and professional support systems are all decisive for the mental well-being of health visitors. The regular presence of positive experiences and support mech- anisms can mitigate the psychological burden arising from the profession. Conclusion: Strengthening professional support systems and ensuring broader and more accessible provision of con- tinuing education, case discussions and clinical supervision are crucial for improving the professional quality of life and preserving the mental health of health visitors.}, year = {2026}, eissn = {1788-6120}, pages = {274-285}, orcid-numbers = {Karácsony, Ilona/0000-0003-3336-9376; Hideg, Gabriella/0000-0002-2916-1145} } @article{MTMT:36989751, title = {Post partumban lévő epilepsziás anyák alvásminőségének hatása az életmód egyes elemeire és a szoptatásra}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36989751}, author = {Máté-Póhr, Kitti and Marosfalvi, V and Karamánné Pakai, Annamária and Karácsony, Ilona}, doi = {10.55608/nover.39.0002}, journal-iso = {NŐVÉR}, journal = {NŐVÉR}, volume = {39}, unique-id = {36989751}, issn = {0864-7003}, year = {2026}, eissn = {1588-1423}, pages = {13-18}, orcid-numbers = {Karamánné Pakai, Annamária/0000-0002-2849-1310; Karácsony, Ilona/0000-0003-3336-9376} } @article{MTMT:37013631, title = {Curcumin in High Doses Reverses the UV-B-Induced DNMT and HDAC Upregulation In Vitro: A Novel Anti-Cancer Approach?}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/37013631}, author = {Zand, Afshin and Raposa, Bence and Szép, Dávid and Macharia, John Macharia and Nowrasteh, Ghodratollah and Budán, Ferenc Csaba and Varjas, Tímea}, doi = {10.3390/ph19030496}, journal-iso = {PHARMACEUTICALS-BASE}, journal = {PHARMACEUTICALS}, volume = {19}, unique-id = {37013631}, year = {2026}, eissn = {1424-8247}, orcid-numbers = {Raposa, Bence/0000-0001-9551-8440; Macharia, John Macharia/0000-0002-7535-9478; Varjas, Tímea/0000-0002-4950-0669} } @article{MTMT:37024209, title = {Attitudes toward artificial intelligence among individuals with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/37024209}, author = {Kállai, János and Rózsa, Sándor and Bandi, Szabolcs and Varga, Éva Júlia and Török, Imre A. and Szendi, István and Hartung, István and Kertész, Ágnes and Hartungné Somlai, Eszter and Tényi, Tamás and Herold, Róbert}, doi = {10.1016/j.jpsychires.2026.03.028}, journal-iso = {J PSYCHIATR RES}, journal = {JOURNAL OF PSYCHIATRIC RESEARCH}, volume = {198}, unique-id = {37024209}, issn = {0022-3956}, year = {2026}, eissn = {1879-1379}, pages = {224-233}, orcid-numbers = {Kállai, János/0000-0002-5914-0855; Bandi, Szabolcs/0000-0002-4280-0212} } @article{MTMT:37050126, title = {Változások és kihívások az egészségfejlesztéssel, a reprodukciós egészségre neveléssel foglalkozó szakemberek munkájában}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/37050126}, author = {Gyulai, Anikó and Karácsony, Ilona}, doi = {10.1556/650.2026.33497}, journal-iso = {ORV HETIL}, journal = {ORVOSI HETILAP}, volume = {167}, unique-id = {37050126}, issn = {0030-6002}, abstract = {Bevezetés: A nők és férfiak egészségre és reprodukciós egészségre nevelése a jövőjüket tudatosan tervező társadalmak számára kiemelten fontos terület. Cél továbbá a nehéz pontok azonosítása és a „Hogyan tovább?” kérdésre történő válaszkeresés. Módszer: Szakirodalmi kutatómunkával összegyűjtöttük, tanulmányoztuk a témához kapcsolódó törvényeket, rende- leteket, szakmai szabályozókat, tudományos közleményeket, az általunk felállított szempontrendszer szerint rendsze- rező, elemző munkát végeztünk, szakmai tapasztalatainkat is összegyűjtve összegeztük az eredményeket. Eredmények: Az elmúlt évtizedekben számos új szabályozó született, segítve a szakemberek feladatainak pontos defi- niálását, a kompetenciájuk szerinti munkavégzést. A kompetens szakemberek köre jelentősen megnőtt, az edukáció- nak a teljes lakosságra és a speciális szükségletű kliensekre is ki kell terjednie, a témák, ismeretek, módszerek szabályozásra kerültek. Szakmai tapasztalataink alapján nehézséget jelent a tudományos eredmények gyors változása, a bővülő ismeretek kliensekkel történő megtanítása, a motiválatlan kliensek, a szülők különböző igényei, az oktatási intézmények eltérő hozzáállása a témához, a reprodukciós téma még mindig tabu volta, a szakemberek leterheltsége mellett az egyéb feladatok prioritása a prevenciós tevékenységekkel szemben. Megbeszélés: Pozitívum, hogy a feladatot végző szakemberek, célszemélyek, tevékenységek, témák, módszerek letisz- tulttá váltak, ezek a paraméterek azonban minden egyes új edukáció esetén nehézségek forrásai is lehetnek. Objective: The aim of this study is to provide an overview of the current situation of general and reproductive health education and development, focusing on (1) the professionals performing the task and the targeted individuals, (2) the fields of activity and topics, and (3) the methods. A further aim is to identify the difficult points and find answers to the question: “What should be done in the future?” Results: In the last few decades, many new regulations have been introduced to help professionals define their tasks precisely and perform their work competently. The number of professionals has grown significantly, education must extend to the whole population, including clients with special needs and the topics, knowledge and methods have been regulated. Based on our professional experience, it is difficult that scientific results change rapidly, we have to teach a lot of new information to clients who are not always motivated, parents have different needs, educational institutions have different attitudes towards this topic, reproduction is still a taboo topic, professionals are over- worked, and preventative work is still not as important as it should be. Discussion: On the positive side, the professionals performing the task, client, activities, topics, and methods have become clearer, but these parameters can also be a source of difficulties when it comes to each new educational pro- gram. Conclusion: The key to success lies in the hands of healthcare professionals (obstetricians-gynecologists, family doc- tors, pediatricians, specially trained doctors and specialists, public health nurses, midwives). Content validity was evaluated in a two-stage expert review (n = 20) using the Content Validity Index. To assess construct validity, a pretest was conducted with 140 nursing students enrolled in an Austrian bachelor level degree program. Data analysis included principal component analysis with Varimax rotation and evaluation of internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha, Spearman-Brown coefficient). The principal component analysis confirmed the three-factor model ("Basic Computer Skills", "Role", "Applied computer skills: clinical informatics"), which explained 63.86% of the total variance. Internal consistency was high for two subscales (α = .92; ρ = .77), and moderate for the third (α = .58). Known-groups analysis revealed significantly different scores between students with and without perceived need for additional computer training, supporting construct validity. With the German translation of the Self-Assessment of Nursing Informatics Competencies Scale, a valid instrument is now available to assess nursing students' self-perceived digital competence in German-speaking countries.
