However, in Moldova, generational differences were observed in Competency levels, with Generation Z scoring lower than older cohorts, while no generational differences were found in Hungary. Sectoral analysis revealed higher job satisfaction among private-sector employees in Hungary compared to the public sector, whereas no such differences were evident in Moldova.Organizational size emerged as a significant factor influencing both human capital dimensions and job satisfaction in both countries. Micro-sized organizations reported the lowest scores, particularly in Moldova, while large organizations in Hungary showed higher levels of satisfaction, driven by better pay, benefits, and working conditions.The study underscores the importance of targeted interventions, such as skills development programs, reforms in the public sector, and tailored support for micro-sized organizations, to enhance employee satisfaction and optimize human capital utilization. The main issues are analyzed from the perspective of the differences in the learning processes, as we can highlight different learning methods, motivations, or tools. We draw your attention to the fact that most of the research results cited in the chapter can be considered valid in the Hungarian cultural and economic conditions. Through some empirical studies, we highlight the relevance of different competencies in the learning process and discuss the roles of the different learning styles, motives, and the role of the changing learning environment. Our own research results show that the person’s learning style and the organizational strategy may lead to diverse learning processes, depending on the goals of the person or the organization. Also, we give the definitions of the basic concepts related to the topic, such as the learning process and competencies, together with the framework of workplace learning. Then we describe the characteristics of the learning processes in higher education and the changing learning environment. Diversity in higher education refers to the presence and inclusion of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including but not limited to different ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic statuses, religions, disabilities, and nationalities, within educational institutions such as colleges and universities. This diversity enriches the learning environment and fosters a more inclusive and culturally rich campus community. Exposure to diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas enhances the quality of education. Students learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage in meaningful discussions when they interact with peers from different backgrounds.
