Most of the published occurrences are of Holocene age. In Europe, they have been reported from a few sites along the western margin of the continent. Here we describe aeolian deposits covering the extensive basalt plateau of Agár-teto in the Transdanubian Range (Southern Bakony). The deposits have a thickness of around 0.5 m on horizontal surfaces, while in wind shadow they can be several metres thick. They are mainly medium-sorted, with grain sizes ranging from clay to fine gravel but the dominant type is fine sand. The majority of the grains are quartz and probably originated from the north - i.e. from Lake Pannon sediments underlying the basalt. The sediment material itself must have been transported onto the plateau by strong winds during the Pleistocene glacials. Trapping was most probably caused by the coarse surface roughness (i.e. a surface strewn with basalt blocks), by vegetation cover and, in the case of thick accumulations, by the topographical position. Strong aeolian activity is indicated by wind-fluted basalt blocks as well.}, keywords = {BASALT; PLEISTOCENE; Periglacial; Ventifact; Transdanubian range (Hungary); Mountain-top aeolian sediments}, year = {2011}, eissn = {2559-902X}, pages = {393-399}, orcid-numbers = {Sebe, Krisztina/0000-0002-4647-2199} } @article{MTMT:32211767, title = {A magyar szakpolitikai területi értékelési rendszer intézményesülése, főbb eredményei, kihívásai.}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32211767}, author = {Czira, Tamás and Tipold, F.}, journal-iso = {FALU VÁROS RÉGIÓ}, journal = {FALU VÁROS RÉGIÓ}, unique-id = {32211767}, issn = {1218-2613}, year = {2010}, pages = {4-9} } @book{MTMT:3037596, title = {A Magyar Állami Földtani Intézet Évi Jelentése (2009)}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/3037596}, author = {Fancsik, Tamás}, editor = {Balla, Zoltán and Piros, Olga}, publisher = {Geological Institute of Hungary}, unique-id = {3037596}, keywords = {földtan}, year = {2010} } @article{MTMT:1768076, title = {Volumetric modelling of cavities and pores in the Pál-völgy Cave, Budapest. This was done by measuring the size and frequency of the fractures and solution marks in the vicinity of the cave. For this a volumetric and a porosity model of the cave and its environs was constructed. This new method for volumetric cave modelling also solved the problem of processing cave maps from archives and data acquired by quick measurement.This involved producing volumetric data with highly accurate mathematical approaches. Furthermore, the value of this new, mostly theoretical, approach for volumetric cave modelling was reinforced by the porosity model, which was based on field measurements. Through the modelling, an estimation of the probable, but still not explored size of the Pál-völgy Cave was also calculated.}, keywords = {CAVE; Volumetric model; Tectonic porosity; Buda hills}, year = {2010}, eissn = {2559-902X}, pages = {263-280}, orcid-numbers = {Albert, Gáspár/0000-0002-1723-8328} } @article{MTMT:1378829, title = {Bentonite deposits of Hungary – a review of their mineralogy and geology.}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/1378829}, author = {Kovács-Pálffy, P and Földessy, János and Kónya, Péter and Bertalan, Éva}, journal-iso = {ACTA MINERAL PETROGR ABSTRACT SER}, journal = {ACTA MINERALOGICA PETROGRAPHICA - ABSTRACT SERIES}, volume = {6}, unique-id = {1378829}, issn = {1589-4835}, year = {2010}, pages = {308-308} } @CONFERENCE{MTMT:31305409, title = {Nehézfém-szennyezések vizsgálata felhagyott bányaterületeken. The basic geological data are recorded cartographically on a map with reference key and literally in a booklet. These data are the most genuine information, which can be accessed later, that’s why the preservation of the original notes should be an important aim for an institution, which performs regular scientific observations. In the Geological Institute of Hungary, where geological mapping is one of the primary functions for nearly 140 years, the data of manuscripts are hardly or inaccessible because of the difficulty of cataloging and organizing of them. The needs of recent times make it necessary, the technological frames make it possible to use geological information in the scale of observation, which means the use of authentic data. To achieve this, a method has been worked out, which aimed to transform the information of draw-up maps and field note manuscripts into a unified form, which can be compared with other databases, to insert them into a geographical information system, to create a uniform layout for the digitalized maps, and to operate a functional data storage system. In the study performed, the frames and main connections of this method on demonstrated cases have been revealed.}, year = {2009}, pages = {45-53}, orcid-numbers = {Albert, Gáspár/0000-0002-1723-8328} }
