	abstract = {Jelen tanulmány a 18. századi magyar református egyháztörténet egy jelentős püspökének, professzorának, Őri Fülep Gábornak az élettörténetét mutatja be. A reformáció századaira irányuló egyháztörténeti kutatásokkal szemben a 18. század mind a mai napig méltatlanul kevéssé figyelmet kap, noha ez az évszázad éppen a református egyház túlélése szempontjából volt rendkívül fontos. Őri Fülep pályája nemcsak azért tarthat számot az utókor érdeklődésére, mert kiváló püspöke volt a korszaknak, hanem azért is, mert a peregrinációja a 17. század legkiválóbbjait idézte.
		Őri Fülep Gábor, a Tiszáninneni Egyházkerület 5. püspöke 1739-ben született Sajószentpéteren. Hollandiai peregrinációja hosszú és sikeres volt, franekeri és leideni tanulmányai után 1765-ben Utrechtben avatták a teológia doktorává. Hazatérése után lelkésszé szentelték, majd néhány év szolgálat után, 1772-ben meghívták a sárospataki kollégiumba a teológia tanítására. Professzorként 8 alkalommal viselte a rektori hivatalt, 1785-ben tagja volt a Bécsben az alsóbb iskolai tankönyvek ügyében tárgyaló küldöttségnek, 1791-ben részt vett és bizottsági jegyző volt a budai zsinaton. 1797-ben az egyházkerület püspökévé választották, 1799-ben ténylegesen el is foglalta a hivatalt. Még ugyanebben az évben megválasztották szülővárosa lelkészének, ahol csaknem negyed századon át, haláláig szolgált. Püspökként fontos szervezeti változásokat hajtott végre. Tudósként főleg kora legjelentősebb európai protestáns gondolkodóinak a műveit fordította, ezzel a magyar nyelv megújításáért is sokat tett. E munkásságának elismerése, hogy 1790-ben a tervezett Akadémia tagjának jelölték.},

	abstract = {This paper compares various ‘earthen’ construction materials and building techniques from three Middle Bronze Age tell (multi-layered settlement) sites in Hungary: Százhalombatta-Földvár, Kakucs-Turján (Vatya material culture) and Borsodivánka-Marhajárás-Nagyhalom (Otomani-Füzesabony Cultural Circle (OFCC)). It employs microscopic analyses – archaeological soil micromorphology and phytolith analysis within thin sections – to examine floor, wall and fire installation materials at a high resolution. The term ‘earthen construction materials’ is used in archaeology extensively to refer to anything from soils to sediments that sometimes lack proper classification or terminology. Through a closer look at the types of materials used at the three analysed sites, we describe more clearly what comprises ‘earthen’ construction materials. Using this data, we then employ a chaîne opératoire approach to think through various stages in the sourcing and preparation of building materials. In analysing this, the paper makes visible the decisions by Bronze Age builders and discusses their possible reasons, which include environmental conditions and socially learned practices. Further, by comparing three contemporary sites within a micro-landscape, our analysis highlights that even small variations in the environment and therefore the available raw materials impact building materials and techniques, and that different groups of people can make different decisions even when facing similar environments.},

	abstract = {Reindeer are part of the faunal suite that dominated central Europe during the last glacial cycle. Their importance to Late Gravettian hunters as prey and a source of raw materials (hide, bone, antler) is well attested, however the context of Late Gravettian reindeer predation is lesser understood. This paper presents an investigation of human and reindeer predator-prey interactions at the Late Gravettian kill-butchery site of Lubná VI, Czech Republic. We reconstruct seasonal mobility ( 87 Sr/ 86 Sr, δ 18 O), diet (δ 13 C, δ 15 N) and season of death (dental cementum) of up to nine reindeer prey, to inform on the strategic choices made by Late Gravettian hunters. Results indicate that most hunted reindeer lived year-round in the foothills of the Bohemian-Moravian highlands near where Lubná is located, at altitudes between ~ 200–450 m above present sea level, while a smaller number showed evidence of seasonal migration between this area and the open plains of the Elbe river corridor (Bohemian Cretaceous basin). No evidence for long distance migration of reindeer was detected, indicating that productive local environments were supporting reindeer herds within a single annual territory. Meanwhile, areas higher than ~ 450 m above present sea level were avoided entirely by all analysed individuals, consistent with these areas being topographic barriers to movement due to climate severity. We conclude that hunters visited Lubná as part of a logistically-organised subsistence strategy, deliberately targeting reindeer in late autumn when fat supplies, hides and antler are in prime condition knowing that they would reliably encounter their prey at this location.},
