As a consequence, its different types (grandiose and vulnerable narcissism) have been investigated from several different perspectives. The present research attempts to explore the differences between the two types of narcissism and their links with different cognitive components that are connected to these personality traits. The primary aim of our study is to investigate the possible connections among maladaptive schemas (entitlement, vulnerability, emotional deprivation) and cognitive evaluation systems (self-esteem, systemizing-empathizing) and narcissism.MethodsWe applied both correlation and path analyses to explore the hypothesized associations.ResultsThe results show that early maladaptive schemas are strongly associated with narcissism and the empathizing system. The different subtypes of narcissism have different connections with self-esteem.ConclusionOur results show that the two types of narcissism have different manifestations and connections with the early maladaptive schemas, Emphatizing Quotient, and self-esteem. Veszprém vármegye abban a speciális helyzetben van, hogy egy kórházban valósul meg a szívinfarktus akut ellátása és rehabilitációja is, így a betegutak, a rehabilitációban való részvétel könnyebben elemezhető, mint az ország egyéb területein. Vizsgálatunk célja a szívinfarktus utáni rehabilitáció jellemzése volt, különös tekintettel a rehabilitációba vonás, a programszerkezet és ezek túlélésre kifejtett hatásának elemzésére. Betegek és módszer: Retrospektív elemzésünkben a Balatonfüredi Állami Szívkórházban 2018 és 2021 között ellátott szívinfarktust (ápolást indokló fődiagnózis BNO10 szerint I21) elszenvedő Veszprém vármegyei betegek sorsát elemeztük. A betegek akut ellátását a Szívkórház kórházinformatikai rendszerében rögzített adatokkal jellemeztük. Rehabilitációs kezelést azoknál a betegeknél regisztráltunk, akik egy éven belül a Szívkórház ambuláns, vagy intézeti rehabilitációs programjába léptek. A programot a Szívkórház kórházinformatikai rendszerében és a Nemzeti Infarktus Regiszter (NSZR) rehabilitációs ellátási moduljában rögzített adatokkal jellemeztük. A túlélési adatok az NSZR-ből származtak. Eredmények: A szívkórházban 2018 és 2021 között 1715 Veszprém vármegyei beteg szívinfarktus miatti első ellátása történt meg, 1665 beteg (97,1%) távozott élve az intézményből. Közülük 861 beteg (51,7%) kezdett rehabilitációs programot ambuláns (32 beteg, 1,9%), vagy intézeti (830 beteg, 49,8%) formában. A rehabilitációt kezdő betegek fiatalabbak voltak (63,6±11,1 vs. 67,6±12,6 év, p<0,001), közöttük kisebb arányban fordult elő pitvarfibrilláció (8,1 vs. 13,7%, p<0,001). A cukorbetegség, szívelégtelenség, alsó végtagi verőérbetegség (LEAD), hipertónia aránya, a nemi összetétel nem különbözött. A rehabilitáció átlagos tartama 19,2±3,5 nap volt. A 30 napos halálozás 7,7%, az egyéves halálozás 14,4% volt. A 30 napon belül rehabilitációba vont 707 betegből 6 (0,8%) halt meg 30 napon belül, míg a 30 napon belül nem rehabilitált 958 betegből 76-ot (7,9%) vesztettünk el (p<0,001). A rehabilitáció a halálozás relatív rizikóját 88,9%-kal csökkentette (OR=0,111, 95% CI: 0,048–0,255; p<0,001). Az egy éven belül rehabilitációba vont betegek 5,2%-a halt meg 365 napon belül, míg a nem rehabilitáltak 18,9%-át vesztettük el (p<0,001). A rehabilitációban való részvétel a halálozás relatív rizikóját 70,8%-kal csökkentette (OR=0,292, 95% CI: 0,208–0,409; p<0,001). Következtetés: Veszprém vármegyében szívinfarktus után a betegek 51,7%-a kezdett rehabilitációs kezelést, ami jóval magasabb az országos átlagnál. A rehabilitációt kezdők halálozási mutatói lényegesen jobbak, mint a programból kimaradók adatai, bár a betegszelekciós tényezők torzíthatják az eredményt. Az országosnál jelentősen magasabb rehabilitációs arány mellett is erősen hatékony intervenció alapján sürgető feladatként fogalmazódik meg a szívinfarktust elszenvedett betegek lényegesen nagyobb arányú programba vonása Magyarországon.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1588-0230}, pages = {9-17} } @article{MTMT:34670646, title = {Az endometriózissal élő nők krónikus fájdalmával összefüggésbe hozható pszichológiai tényezők}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34670646}, author = {Felföldi, Luca and Farkas-Békési, Georgina and Németh, Dorottya and Bodor, Andrea Lili and Gács, Boróka}, journal-iso = {MAGYAR NŐORVOSOK LAPJA}, journal = {MAGYAR NŐORVOSOK LAPJA}, volume = {87}, unique-id = {34670646}, issn = {0025-021X}, year = {2024}, pages = {308-314} } @misc{MTMT:34543414, title = {Mastering Essential Time Management Skills for Academic and Professional Success. Therefore, several previous studies have chosen to investigate the Time-on-Task related changes in heart rate variability (HRV). However, previous studies have used many different HRV indices, and their results often show inconsistencies. The present study, therefore, systematically reviewed previous empirical HRV studies with healthy individuals and in which mental fatigue is induced by prolonged cognitive tasks. Articles relevant to the objectives were systematically searched and selected by applying the PRISMA guidelines. We screened 360 records found on 4 databases and found that 19 studies were eligible for full review in accordance with the inclusion criteria. In general, all studies reviewed (with the exception of two studies) found significant changes in HRV with increasing Time-on-Task, suggesting that HRV is a reliable autonomic marker for Time-on-Task induced fatigue. The most conclusive HRV indices that showed a consistent Time-on-Task effect were the low frequency component of HRV and the time domain indices, particularly the root mean square of successive differences. Currently, smartphone and social media use belong to the most prevalent Internet-related behavioral addiction forms. However, the neurobiological background of these Internet-related behavioral addictions is not sufficiently explored. In this study, these addiction forms were assessed with self-reported questionnaires. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging was acquired for all participants ( n = 59, 29 males) to examine functional brain networks. The resting-state networks that were discovered using independent component analysis were analyzed to estimate within network differences. Significant negative associations with social media addiction and smartphone addiction were found in the language network, the lateral visual networks, the auditory network, the sensorimotor network, the executive network and the frontoparietal network. These studies focused on the functional changes and functional connectivity of the brain relating to fatigue. The structural correlates of fatigue, however, have received little attention. To fill this gap, this study explored the associations of fatigue with cortical thickness of frontal and parietal regions. In addition, we aimed to explore the associations between reward-induced improvement in performance and neuroanatomical markers in fatigued individuals. Thirty-nine healthy volunteers performed the psychomotor vigilance task for 15 min (i.e., 3 time-on-task blocks of 5 min) out of scanner; followed by an additional rewarded block of the task lasting 5 min. Baseline high-resolution T1-weigthed MR images were obtained. Reaction time increased with time-on-task but got faster again in the rewarded block. Participants’ subjective fatigue increased during task performance. In addition, we found that higher increase in subjective mental fatigue was associated with the cortical thickness of the following areas: bilateral precuneus, right precentral gyrus; right pars triangularis and left superior frontal gyrus. Our results suggest that individual differences in subjective mental fatigue may be explained by differences in the degree of cortical thickness of areas that are associated with motor processes, executive functions, intrinsic alertness and are parts of the default mode network.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2676-8607}, orcid-numbers = {Zsidó, András Norbert/0000-0003-0506-6861; Janszky, József Vladimír/0000-0001-6100-832X} } @article{MTMT:34167002, title = {The interference of negative emotional stimuli on semantic vigilance performance in a dual-task setting}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34167002}, author = {Zsidó, András Norbert and Matuz, András and Basler, Julia and Darnai, Gergely and Csathó, Árpád}, doi = {10.1007/s42977-023-00180-5}, journal-iso = {BIOL FUTURA}, journal = {BIOLOGIA FUTURA}, unique-id = {34167002}, issn = {2676-8615}, abstract = {A large body of previous research has shown that emotional stimuli have an advantage in a wide variety of cognitive processes. This was mainly observed in visual search and working memory tasks. Emotionally charged objects draw and hold attention, are remembered better, and interfere more with the completion of the primary task than neutral ones. Therefore, it seems reasonable to assume that emotional stimuli also greatly affect sustained attention and vigilance decrement. In the present research, we investigated whether emotional stimuli demand more attentional resources than neutral ones in a dual-task paradigm. We adopted the abbreviated semantic discrimination vigilance task and measured participants’ (N = 49) performance in a single-task and two dual-task settings. In the dual-task conditions, the visual semantic vigilance paradigm was combined with an auditory word recall task (with neutral or emotional stimuli). We found reduced vigilance and improved word recall performance in the emotional dual-task condition compared to the neutral dual-task and single-task conditions. The reduced performance was apparent throughout the task, while in the neutral conditions, participants’ performance first increased and then dropped as time progressed. To conclude, our results indicate that emotional stimuli not only have an advantage in cognitive processing but also demand more attentional resources continuously while it is present compared to neutral stimuli. These results are consistent with the emotionality effect theory and evolutionary accounts of the neural circuits underlying motivated behaviors associated with critical survival needs.}, keywords = {sustained attention; emotional valence; Signal detection theory; Word recall; VIGILANCE DECREMENT; Emotionality effect}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2676-8607}, orcid-numbers = {Zsidó, András Norbert/0000-0003-0506-6861} }
