	abstract = {This study primarily focuses on the situation of Hungarians inminority  situations  in  relation  to  language  varieties,  i.e.  itinterprets the various language policy issues primarily in thecontext of the Hungarian-speaking community, rather than in thecontext of Hungary, where the place, role and relationshipbetween standard and non-standard language dialects play aprominent role. In most cases, the preservation of Hungarianidentity  is  equivalent  to  the  preservation  of  non-standardlanguage varieties, in relation to which several language policyand language planning issues arise. The aim of the study istwofold. On the one hand, it aims to provide an up-to-dateoverview of the language policy situation of the Hungarianlanguage and the Hungarian language community, especiallywith regard to the Hungarian autochthonous minority of about 3million people who live in the countries neighbouring Hungary.On the other hand, the study describes the language policy roleof dialects and the related attitudes from the perspective of theentire Hungarian language community, addressing the macro-,meso- and micro-level language planning possibilities.},

	abstract = {Teachers’language attitudes play a key role in their decision-making, evaluation, and behaviour in the classroom. This is astrue in a monolingual environment as it is in a bilingual ormultilingual linguistic situation, but it is fair to assume that thetwo different linguistic environments are associated with thedominance of different attitudes and ideologies. Among therelated research, it is hard tofind any that examine the differencebetween monolinguals and multilinguals from the perspective oflanguage bias, especially in thefield of education. The presentstudy  explores  the  language  ideologies  and  attitudes  ofHungarian language teachers. The study was based on thelanguage attitudes of 502 Hungarian language teachers, of whom57% teach in a bilingual setting and 43% in a monolingualenvironment. The research instrument was a tool similar to averbal guise test. It was used to assess standard and non-standard language variants, the students who use them and theiroral presentations to the teachers included in the survey. Theprimary hypothesis, that bilingual or multilingual teachers aremore linguistically tolerant than their monolingual colleagues,was not confirmed. In fact, in some cases, the data revealed theopposite.},
