	abstract = {The participatory approach is becoming more widespread in the social sciences and is also starting to take hold in the study of language in society. However, there has been little research done on how critical sociolinguistics can be linked to research that is based on the involvement and engagement of as many participants as possible at a level they find relevant for themselves. We argue that the academic separation between the ‘researcher’ and the ‘researched’ is worth reexamining in sociolinguistic research, as all participants do ’ideologizing work’ that establishes the perspective from which they view language. We discuss this through a case study from Moldavia, the North-Eastern region of Romania, which aimed to explore the contemporary language practices of former students of a Hungarian-language revitalization program. We point out that being critical of language-related inequalities cannot be separated from being critical of participation in the research process, if we are to work together across a multiplicity of language ideologies.},

	abstract = {A december 18-i nyelvi pikniken arról társalogtunk, hogy mit is jelent tulajdonképpen a természet, mit értünk alatta, amikor róla beszélünk, különösen akkor, amikor meg akarjuk védeni. A piknik első felében a beszélgetés kiindulópontját az adta, hogy mindenkinek egy igét kellett írnia a cetlire – olyan igét, amelyet leginkább a természethez kapcsol. 
		A nyelvi piknik második felében arról társalogtunk, hogy miben térnek el egymástól a „környezet", a „természet", a „klíma" és a „teremtett" világ szavak. Majd a résztvevőknek olyan szóösszetételeket kellett cetlikre írni, amelyeknek a „klíma” az első tagja. A cetlik hátoldalára pedig ezeknek az összetett szavaknak a meghatározása került. A játék során a meghatározások alapján tippeltünk ezekre az újonnan keletkezett szavakra, amik aztán a további beszélgetés tárgyát képezték.

	abstract = {The ways diasporic groups emerge and diasporic identities are constructed have recently become important research topics in sociolinguistics. However, these works have not paid sufficient attention to the spatial-temporal configurations of diasporic imaginations. In this article, I intend to shed light on the ways differing diasporic imaginations are inscribed on what kind of language-related diasporic activities are created by the diasporic subjects. To answer this question, I draw on the data of an ethnographically informed critical sociolinguistic study of diasporization among Hungarians in Catalonia that I conducted between 2018 and 2022. In the analysis, I compare the chronotopic figures appearing in the life journey narratives of Hungarians in Catalonia with the ways the ideal diasporic subject was imagined in the activities of two salient diasporic organizations. The article points to the fact that diasporic imaginations do not only contain moral guidelines on how diasporic subjects should behave, but they are also determined by the time and the space diasporic subjects inhabit.},
