	abstract = {A long, familiar stage of life ends with graduation from secondary school. The closure of this phase can also be seen as a loss or mourning: saying goodbye to high school, parting with old friends, teachers, environment, etc. After entering the university, young people will be not only new students of higher education, but also new participants in the labor market, which means that they will have to satisfy both needs at the same time. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic complicates this situation. With this in mind, the purpose of this study is to understand the mental health status and problems of first-year students currently enrolled for three undergraduate business courses in Budapest. This research paper investigates whether the pressures, isolation, uncertainty, financial worries, loss of control, and moving back in with parents caused by the pandemic have had an impact on students’ mental health. This study used the EPOCH model. The EPOCH-H questionnaire was filled in by 1,719 first-year full-time students. Based on the results, a total of 8 main groups and its subgroups of factors were affected by the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic. These students will be workers in the future carrying these effects with them. According to the results, students’ mental health needs to be strengthened in typical educational processes, and maintaining and improving students’ mental health should be the focus of all higher education institutions in the future.},

	abstract = {A szerzők tanulmányukban többéves kutatómunka eredményeként komplex módon mutatják be a magyar gazdasági felsőoktatásban megvalósuló tehetséggondozást, s ezen belül a tudományos diákköri mozgalom helyzetét. A tanulmány céljai között szerepelt a tudományos diákköri (TDK) konferencia szerepének és történetének bemutatásán túl a TDK országos vezetői, a tehetséggondozásban élen járó egyetemi oktatók, valamint az egyetemi hallgatók helyzetfeltáró véleményének megismerése a mozgalom jelentőségéről és a tehetséggondozásban betöltött szerepéről, az érintettek részvételi motivátorairól. Ezen összetett célrendszer betöltése többféle kutatási módszer bevonásával vált lehetővé. Tanulmányuk eredményeként megállapítható, hogy a TDK, mint a tehetséggondozás egy formája, magában foglalja a belső motiváció erősítését, valamint az anyagi és erkölcsi ösztönzők biztosítását is. Lényeges megállapítás az, hogy az oktatók és hallgatók TDK-mozgalomhoz való viszonyulását összességében az intézményi kultúra erősen befolyásolja.},

	abstract = {In our study we focus on the mental health of first-year students in higher education in economics,
		which is a relevant topic worldwide and also in Hungary. University is the gateway to a new world for the 18-20-year-old students: many of them consider the successful admission and the start of their university studies as one of the most important moments in their lives. Young people leaving secondary school enter a new phase in their lives. It is also an important stage in the journey to adulthood, which is not experienced in the same way by all young people. The process of becoming independent from the family will accelerate and an independent self-image will emerge. The familiar friends and peers from secondary school no longer provide security: new relationships and alliances are formed in a new, unfamiliar environment, and a new way of life becomes dominant.
		In our study, we present the situation of Hungarian higher education in the field of economics, and
		then based on literature sources we identify the most important characteristics of the age group under
		study.
		Having university websites analysed, we explore the network of mental health, life management
		and psychological counselling services in Hungarian higher education institutions and also introduce the programmes they offer to support students' mental health.},
