This paper contributes to the literature on the future of crypto markets by analyzing a promising cryptocurrency innovation from a customer-centric point of view; it explores the factors influencing user acceptance of a hypothetical social network-backed cryptocurrency in Central Europe. The research model adapts an internationally comparative framework and extends the well-established unified theory of acceptance and use of the technology model with the concept of perceived risk and trust. We explore user attitudes with a survey on a large Hungarian sample and analyze the database with consistent partial least square structural equation modeling methodology. The results show that users would be primarily influenced by the expected usefulness of the new technology assuming it is easy to use. Furthermore, our analysis also highlights that while social influence does not seem to sway user opinions, consumers are susceptible to technological risks, and trust is an important determinant of their openness toward innovations in financial services. We contribute to the cryptocurrency literature with a future-centric technological focus and provide new evidence from an under-researched geographic region. The results also have practical implications for business decision-makers and policymakers.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2199-4730}, pages = {1-29}, orcid-numbers = {Aranyossy, Márta/0000-0001-8878-8725} } @article{MTMT:34443754, title = {Technológiai forradalom a biztosítási szektorban – Az insurtech felhasználói fogadtatása Magyarországon}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34443754}, author = {Halmosi, Péter and Aranyossy, Márta}, doi = {10.14267/RETP2023.04.07}, journal-iso = {KÖZ-GAZDASÁG}, journal = {KÖZ-GAZDASÁG}, volume = {18}, unique-id = {34443754}, issn = {1788-0696}, abstract = {A műszaki és technológiai fejlődés legújabb vívmányai az elmúlt években a pénzügyi termékek, ezen belül a különböző biztosítási termékek piacán is megjelentek. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of entrepreneurship education on the development of students' entrepreneurial competences and career plans in the Republic of Moldova. In order to explore this subject, a survey was conducted among young citizens, mainly university students and students of vocational secondary schools, who have studied entrepreneurship-related subjects. The questionnaires were completed by 289 students from 20 educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova. The statistical analysis of their answers allowed conclusions to be drawn about the positive relationship between entrepreneurship education, the development of entrepreneurial competences and the students' entrepreneurial intentions. Entrepreneurial studies are perceived to be useful by students not only in the context of starting a new business, but also for a career as an employee, and even in various social and political situations. Some gender-specific differences were also revealed concerning perceptions of competence development and their usefulness which can be important inputs for further development of entrepreneurship education.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1588-970X}, pages = {33-52}, orcid-numbers = {Vinogradova, Natalia/0000-0003-4485-668X; Novac, Alexandra/0000-0002-4158-4917; Jáki, Erika/0000-0001-6942-5718; Aranyossy, Márta/0000-0001-8878-8725} } @article{MTMT:33225930, title = {Comparative analyses of the educational methods in the leading business development masters programmes in Hungary}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33225930}, author = {Jáki, Erika and Aranyossy, Márta and Halmosi, Péter and Becsky-Nagy, Patrícia}, doi = {10.1556/204.2022.00021}, journal-iso = {SOC ECON}, journal = {SOCIETY AND ECONOMY}, volume = {45}, unique-id = {33225930}, issn = {1588-9726}, abstract = {Entrepreneurship education is a rapidly growing research field, emphasizing the role of education institutions in developing entrepreneurial skills and attitudes. We examined the leading Hungarian business development programmes to explore the prominent educational and technological trends of the programmes from four perspectives: (1) usage of practice-oriented and experimental teaching methods, (2) how the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the digitalization of education, (3) preparation of future entrepreneurs for the digital economy and (4) fostering entrepreneurship through extracurricular offers. We carried out 36 questionnaire-based interviews with professors of the investigated universities, comparing the results to a student survey covering more than 60% of active business development students in master programmes. The results suggest that the investigated programmes are practice-oriented, using practical examples. During COVID-19, different online platforms have been introduced at all three universities, widely used and adopted by both teachers and students and positive changes have been incorporated in teaching after the return to face-to-face. New digital trends and skills are already present in the curriculum, but students are less aware of them, so further development is needed in this area. We analyse e-government technology adoption and value creation on a large, representative Hungarian sample, using the data of the Good State Public Administration Opinion Survey. The paper examines the near total spectrum of the Hungarian government-to-citizen administration service areas: 11 e-government services, with a special focus on personal income tax administration and the use of government issued documents. The technology acceptance model and an e-government-specific adaptation of the DeLone – McLean information system (IS) success model are used as the theoretic base. Factor analysis, traditional association metrics and statistical tests are used for the analysis. Results confirm the relevance of the technology adoption factors suggested by the mainstream IS literature, while citizen-level value creation – in the form of cost or time saved, satisfaction level raised – was less demonstrable. Increasing citizens' internet trust or improving facilitating infrastructural conditions, as well as a significant value proposition in terms of time savings and ease of use would help increasing e-government service adoption levels and value creation potential.}, year = {2022}, eissn = {1588-2659}, pages = {477-497}, orcid-numbers = {Aranyossy, Márta/0000-0001-8878-8725} } @article{MTMT:33238892, title = {Nascent entrepreneurship. This study investigates a new online platform providing theater streaming services in Hungary from a customer-centric, technology acceptance point of view. The survey-based study is designed to examine which factors of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model are—and were—relevant in the under-researched live performance art sector of the digital entertainment industry under the unprecedented, coercive conditions of pandemic lockdowns. The results of the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) show that habit is the most influential factor of theater webcasting adoption (before hedonic motivations and price value), suggesting that the new habits formed during the COVID-19 lockdowns might serve as a basis of a sustainable digital business model for theatres in the post-pandemic era as well. The analysis also tested for potential generational differences between cohorts of users, finding no significant ones, which suggests that, under this specific set of social, technology and market conditions, all generations react similarly and are equally relevant for widening the customer base.
