The effect of the copper source, the base, the water, and the γ-valerolactone content of the reaction mixture on the reaction performance was investigated. Eighteen cross-coupling products were isolated with yields of 11–69 %, and high purity (>98 %). Two O-arylated products, 4-phenoxypentan-1-ol and 5-phenoxypentan-2-ol were characterized. The recycling of the solvents after product isolation was also demonstrated. These results represent an example that proves that biomass-derived safer solvents can be utilized in common, industrially important transformations. © 2023 The Author(s)}, keywords = {AMINES; CATALYSIS; COPPER; Solvents; cross-coupling; COUPLING REACTION; Copper catalyzed; Cross-couplings; 1,4-PENTANEDIOL; copper catalysis; Ullmann-coupling; alternative solvents; Protic solvents; copper-catalysis; Alternative solvent; Polar protic; Ullmann-type couplings}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1872-8561} } @article{MTMT:34180094, title = {Recent advances in catalytic carbonylation reactions in alternative reaction media}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34180094}, author = {Árvai, Csaba and Mika, László Tamás}, doi = {10.1002/cjoc.202300490}, journal-iso = {CHINESE J CHEM}, journal = {CHINESE JOURNAL OF CHEMISTRY}, volume = {42}, unique-id = {34180094}, issn = {1001-604X}, abstract = {Since the discovery of the hydroformylation (oxo‐synthesis or Roelen reaction) and the Reppe‐reaction, the transition metal‐catalyzed carbonylation reactions, providing versatile, facile, and even atom‐economic methods for the selective incorporation of C=O functionality to various skeletons, have gained tremendous importance in synthetic organic chemistry from laboratories to industrial applications. The carbonylation of carbon‐carbon multiple bonds, aromatic halides, triflates etc. in the presence of various nucleophiles has led the way to produce aldehydes, carboxylic acids, esters, amides, etc. in the fine chemical industry. However, these protocols usually proceed in conventional, fossil‐based, and usually toxic reaction environments. Thus, several attempts have been directed to develop efficient carbonylation methods in alternative, less harmful, non‐fossil‐based and even in renewable reaction media. In this review, we overview the recent applications of alternative solvents such as water, biomass‐based alcohols, γ‐valerolactone (GVL), 2‐methyltetrahydrofuran (2Me‐THF), ionic liquids (ILs), deep eutectic solvents (DES), and alkyl levulinates, limonene, α‐pinene, and dimethyl carbonate as well as fluorous media to improve efficiency, safety and environmentally benign nature of carbonylation protocols.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1614-7065}, pages = {406-429} } @article{MTMT:34728421, title = {Kémiai és Környezeti Folyamatmérnöki Tanszék}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34728421}, author = {Béri, János and Pusztai, Éva and Deák, András and Mika, László Tamás}, journal-iso = {MAGY KEM LAP}, journal = {MAGYAR KÉMIKUSOK LAPJA}, volume = {78}, unique-id = {34728421}, issn = {0025-0163}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1588-1199}, pages = {360-365}, orcid-numbers = {Béri, János/0000-0003-4368-2382} } @article{MTMT:34687219, title = {Jegyzőkönyv}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34687219}, author = {Mika, László Tamás and Simonné Sarkadi, Livia}, journal-iso = {MAGY KEM LAP}, journal = {MAGYAR KÉMIKUSOK LAPJA}, volume = {78}, unique-id = {34687219}, issn = {0025-0163}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1588-1199}, pages = {202-205} } @article{MTMT:34687214, title = {Főtitkári beszámoló a 2022. évről}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34687214}, author = {Mika, László Tamás}, journal-iso = {MAGY KEM LAP}, journal = {MAGYAR KÉMIKUSOK LAPJA}, volume = {78}, unique-id = {34687214}, issn = {0025-0163}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1588-1199}, pages = {198-202} } @misc{MTMT:34654791, title = {1,4-pentanediol, a biomass based alternative solvent for Ullmann-type C–N coupling reactions}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34654791}, author = {Árvai, Csaba and Mika, László Tamás}, unique-id = {34654791}, year = {2023} } @misc{MTMT:34654687, title = {Modular synthesis of shrubby fluorous ligands}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34654687}, author = {Horváth, István Tamás and Medgyesi, Zoltán and Árvai, Csaba and Mika, László Tamás}, unique-id = {34654687}, year = {2023}, orcid-numbers = {Horváth, István Tamás/0000-0002-6324-186X} } @CONFERENCE{MTMT:34574349, title = {The Current State of Geochemical Modeling in Subsurface Underground Hydrogen Storage}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34574349}, author = {Gelencsér, Orsolya and Árvai, Csaba and Mika, László Tamás and Breitner, Dániel and Szabó, Csaba and Falus, György and Sonnenthal, Eric and Szabó-Krausz, Zsuzsanna}, booktitle = {AGU Fall Meeting 2023}, unique-id = {34574349}, year = {2023}, pages = {1-2}, orcid-numbers = {Gelencsér, Orsolya/0000-0001-8615-9298; Szabó, Csaba/0000-0002-1580-6344; Szabó-Krausz, Zsuzsanna/0000-0002-4454-8700} } @article{MTMT:34202740, title = {Valorization of the Exoskeletons of Crustaceans in Seafood Wastes to Chemicals in Renewable Solvents: A Catalytic and Mechanistic Study}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34202740}, author = {Horváth, István Tamás and Wong, Claire Yuet Yan and Choi, Alex Wing-Tat and Mika, László Tamás and Lui, Matthew Y.}, doi = {10.1021/acssuschemeng.3c04066}, journal-iso = {ACS SUSTAIN CHEM ENG}, journal = {ACS SUSTAINABLE CHEMISTRY & ENGINEERING}, volume = {11}, unique-id = {34202740}, issn = {2168-0485}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2168-0485}, pages = {15350-15363}, orcid-numbers = {Horváth, István Tamás/0000-0002-6324-186X; Lui, Matthew Y./0000-0003-2201-3956} } @CONFERENCE{MTMT:34124734, title = {Rock forming minerals reactivity in hydrogen environment – experimental and modeling study}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34124734}, author = {Gelencsér, Orsolya and Árvai, Csaba and Mika, László Tamás and Szabó, Csaba and Breitner, Dániel and Szabó-Krausz, Zsuzsanna and Falus, György}, booktitle = {Goldschmidt 2023 Conference: abstracts}, unique-id = {34124734}, year = {2023}, orcid-numbers = {Gelencsér, Orsolya/0000-0001-8615-9298; Szabó, Csaba/0000-0002-1580-6344; Szabó-Krausz, Zsuzsanna/0000-0002-4454-8700} }
