	abstract = {This paper presents the results of the typological revision of Hont-Templomdomb site originally published in 1956 as Epipalaeolithic. Our observations contradict the Epipalaeolithic cultural and chronological position of the lithic material, which rather can be affiliated with the Late Gravettian of Eastern Central Europe. Current archaeological data allowed us to conclude that the term ‘Epipalaeolithic’ currently is inappropriate in the Palaeolithic chronological sequence of the Carpathian Basin. This led to considering the possibility of a human population hiatus during GI-1 interstadial and GS-1 stadial phases.},

	abstract = {Szekszárd-Palánk a hazai régibb kőkor kutatás ikonikus lelőhelye. Az 1950-es években végzett feltárás rétegtani adatai és tipológiai megfigyelései alapján Vértes László a leletanyagot a paleolitikum legvégére helyezte, a későbbi kutatások során ezzel szemben kőnyersanyag és technotipológiai összetétele alapján a kora mezolitikumba sorolták. A Vértes László által közölt abszolút kronológiai dátum (kalibrálva 13,2–10,7 ezer évvel ezelőtt) viszont túl tág időkeretet ad a lelőhelynek. Ennek alapján nem volt eldönthető, hogy az emberi jelenlét a késő glaciálisra vagy a 11,7 ezer évvel ezelőtt kezdődött holocén elejére tehető-e. A kronológiai kérdések megoldása érdekében a pattintott kő leletanyagot tipológiai szempontból újra feldolgoztuk, az 1950-es évekbeli ásatás állatcsont maradványain pedig AMS radiokarbon vizsgálatot végeztünk, majd 2023-ban ásatáson hitelesítettük a lelőhely rétegsorát. Az előadás során az új adatokat mutatjuk be.},

	abstract = {Preceding the Neolithic and marking the end of the Old Stone Age, the Mesolithic (corresponding with a transitional period between the Pleistocene and Holocene periods in geological terms) is still one of the blind spots of Hungarian archaeology. Based on available data, Late Epigravettian hunter-gatherers left the Carpathian Basin in the Late Glacial period (at the end of the Pleistocene period). In the following phase, one may only reckon with sporadic inhabitation until the emergence of Mesolithic cultures. As the related sites have only yielded very vague relative or absolute chronological data, clarifying their age and cultural connections is of exceptional importance for the research into the transition of the Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods in Hungary and Eastern Europe. In order to gain a better understanding of this transition, the National Institute of Archaeology of the Hungarian National Museum launched a research project aimed at processing the record of the sites mentioned above and conducting field research on certain sites.},

	abstract = {Az újkőkort megelőző mezolitikum, a régibb kőkor vége – földtanilag a pleisztocén és holocén átmenete – mindmáig a hazai régészet egyik fehér foltjának számít. A rendelkezésünkre álló adatok alapján a Kárpát-medencét a késő Epigravettien-nek nevezett vadász-gyűjtögetők elhagyták a késő glaciális (a jégkorszak vége) elején. Ezután csak szórványos emberi megtelepüléssel számolhatunk a mezolit kultúrák megjelenéséig. Ezekről a lelőhelyekről viszont általában csak nagyon bizonytalan relatív vagy abszolút kronológiai adatok állnak rendelkezésre, így koruk és régészeti kulturális kapcsolataik tisztázása a paleolitikum-mezolitikum átmenetének kutatása szempontjából kiemelten fontos mind hazai, mind közép-európai szinten. E kérdéskör tisztázása érdekében a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum Nemzeti Régészeti Intézete kutatási programot indított, amely során az említett leletanyagok feldolgozása és egyes lelőhelyek terepi vizsgálata is zajlik.},
