Depression, substance abuse, stress, and anxiety disorders are the most frequently diagnosed mental illnesses in general hospitals. Kenya was ranked fifth among African nations with the highest rates of depression. Methods: To investigate the role of the household wealth index on depression and anxiety prevalence in Kenya, this study utilizes the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey 2022 which the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics conducted. We used the proportional odds model with an adjusted odds ratio and 95% confidence interval to calculate the wealth index for households that recorded the presence of anxiety or depression in Kenya. The wealth index has five categories and was used as a dependent variable with order categorization. The main explanatory variables were rural or urban residents, gender of household head, household insurance status, and education level among others. Results: A total of 3.5% of the surveyed Kenyans of all ages reported to have been diagnosed with depression and or anxiety. Results that indicated household wealth index was a significant function of depression and anxiety prevalence were households with health insurance with log odds of 2.403 (P-value 0.0001), people with tertiary education had log odds of 4.769 (P-value 0.0000), and urban residents had log odds of -2.910 (P-value 0.0000), according to the significance values at 95% confidence intervals. Recommendation: It is crucial to implement programs that promote mental health awareness and education. To increase the availability and affordability of mental health services, targeted health insurance initiatives should be created. To increase insurance rates for this group, the government may want to consider providing subsidies or other incentives for mental health care.}, year = {2024}, orcid-numbers = {Hideg, Gabriella/0000-0002-2916-1145; Ágoston, István/0000-0003-0715-8284} } @article{MTMT:34550059, title = {Economic Analysis and Outcome Research on the Effectiveness of the Return to Work Program on Occupational Injury Cases for Workers with Disabilities}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34550059}, author = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi and Amer, Faten and Zsolt, N. and Ágoston, István and Putri, A.D.}, doi = {10.1016/j.jval.2023.09.757}, journal-iso = {VALUE HEALTH}, journal = {VALUE IN HEALTH}, volume = {26}, unique-id = {34550059}, issn = {1098-3015}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1524-4733}, pages = {S146-S146}, orcid-numbers = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi/0000-0002-5779-0934; Amer, Faten/0000-0002-5214-3797; Ágoston, István/0000-0003-0715-8284} } @article{MTMT:34484115, title = {Navigating the Path to Recovery: A Scoping Review of Return to Work Program for Manufacture Workers After Occupational Injury}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34484115}, author = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi and Nemeskéri, Zsolt}, doi = {10.20473/ijosh.v12i3.2023.436-448}, journal-iso = {IJOSH}, journal = {Indonesian Journal Of Occupational Safety and Health}, volume = {12}, unique-id = {34484115}, issn = {2301-8046}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2540-7872}, pages = {436-448}, orcid-numbers = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi/0000-0002-5779-0934; Nemeskéri, Zsolt/0000-0003-4977-2565; Ágoston, István/0000-0003-0715-8284} } @article{MTMT:34428240, title = {Az egészségügyi szakdolgozók jövedelmének alakulása 2004-2021 között hazánkban}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34428240}, author = {Boncz, Imre and Elmer, Diána and Németh, Noémi and Csákvári, Tímea and Ágoston, István and Kajos, Luca Fanni and SAÁGHY, ANDREA and KÁSÁDI, MÁRTA and Endrei, Dóra}, doi = {10.33616/lam.33.0523}, journal-iso = {LEGE ART MED}, journal = {LEGE ARTIS MEDICINAE}, volume = {33}, unique-id = {34428240}, issn = {0866-4811}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2063-4161}, pages = {523-531}, orcid-numbers = {Boncz, Imre/0000-0003-3699-6236; Csákvári, Tímea/0000-0002-3339-4953; Ágoston, István/0000-0003-0715-8284; Kajos, Luca Fanni/0000-0002-0574-5787; Endrei, Dóra/0000-0001-8979-1686} } @inbook{MTMT:34093229, title = {Addressing mental health concerns among young adolescents during the Covid 19 pandemic period in Kenya}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34093229}, author = {Mokaya, Peter Onchuru and Kamau, M and Ágoston, István and Hideg, Gabriella}, booktitle = {VI. This study examined the case management-based on RTW program features that improve the work ability index (WAI) and quality of life (QoL). Methods: This cross-sectional research involved 230 disabled workers due to an occupational injury in Indonesia, 154 participated in RTW, and 75 did not participate in RTW (non-RTW) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sociodemographic and occupational factors were used to examine the RTW results. We used the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s WAI questionnaires to measure the work ability index and World Health Organization Quality of Life Brief Version (WHOQOL-BREF) for quality of life. Results: The study found a statistically significant difference in working duration and preferred treatment for RTW between the groups (p-value = 0.039). Furthermore, the quality of life in the domain of environmental health and work ability index score also demonstrated a significant difference between the groups (p-value = 0.023 and 0.000, respectively). Conclusions: During the COVID-19 pandemic, this study found that the RTW program improved the quality of life and work abilities of disabled workers.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1660-4601}, orcid-numbers = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi/0000-0002-5779-0934; Wikurendra, Edza Aria/0000-0002-5020-375X; Nemeskéri, Zsolt/0000-0003-4977-2565; Ágoston, István/0000-0003-0715-8284} } @article{MTMT:32912640, title = {The Correlation of Blood Xylene Levels and Neurological Disorders among Informal Car Painters}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32912640}, author = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi and Tri, Matiana and Nemeskéri, Zsolt and Ágoston, István and Soedjajadi, Keman}, doi = {10.22034/JCHR.2022.1942679.1432}, journal-iso = {J CHEM HEALTH RISKS}, journal = {JOURNAL OF CHEMICAL HEALTH RISKS}, volume = {13}, unique-id = {32912640}, issn = {2251-6719}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2251-6727}, pages = {195-205}, orcid-numbers = {Kurnianto, Arie Arizandi/0000-0002-5779-0934; Tri, Matiana/0000-0002-3231-1503; Nemeskéri, Zsolt/0000-0003-4977-2565; Ágoston, István/0000-0003-0715-8284} }
