Methods: We included 50 insulin-treated T2DM patients in the study. The semi structuredinterview texts were analyzed using thematic analysis. The interview questions were organizedaround 3 major groups of questions focusing on the history of the disease, the current treatment regimen, and the ecological context of the treatment. Results: According to the results of our qualitative analysis, the emotional correlates dominated a significant proportion of responses of insulin-treated T2DM patients. Moreover, we stated that exploring and understanding diabetes-specific coping strategies, attitudes to insulintherapy, patients’ treatment satisfaction and openness to new insulin delivery technologies are essentialfor providing professional support in diabetes treatment. Conclusion: The therapeutic behavior of insulin treatedT2DM patients is determined by the patients’ emotional engagement with diabetes and treatment, and the effectiveness of the given diabetes-specific methods for coping with treatment-related difficulties. Teachers working in kindergartens and schools (N = 30) participated in audio-recorded, semi-structured interviews (three focus groups and 20 individual interviews) that were transcribed and analyzed using thematic analysis. We used the theory of the three components of attitude as a framework for the analysis. The three components of attitude emerged during the analysis: knowledge, positive and negative emotions, approaches, and opinions toward diabetes and its management and behavior. The main theme of knowledge included knowledge about diabetes in general and its management. Besides medical treatment, alternative treatment possibilities were mentioned by the participants. The affective component revealed empathy, integrating, and segregating approaches toward children living with diabetes. The behavior component revealed how teachers contribute to the care and integration of children with diabetes in schools. They support children with diabetes by the virtue of their profession. For example, they teach them health awareness and support their integration through peer education and sensitization. The findings indicated that, in addition to diabetes management tasks, teachers could help children with T1D by tutoring them and their peers about health awareness and T1D acceptance. AB - Objective: This study aimed to identify the key aspects of patients’ dental care experience that influenced their self-perceived satisfaction and loyalty. Also examined was the agreement between patients and dentists regarding these factors. Methods: Questionnaires were administered to 1121 patients and 77 dentists, focusing on demographic information and 15 selected items related to the patients’ last dental visit. Descriptive and linear regression analyses were conducted. Results: The study included participants from 41 practices. Factors significantly influencing satisfaction and loyalty included location convenience, treatment quality, trust in dentists’ decisions, visit frequency satisfaction, clear treatment explanations, dentist’s interest in symptoms, patient-dental personnel attachment, and dentist’s knowledge of the patient and their medical records. While overall agreement between patients and dentists was high, some areas exhibited notable disagreement. Conclusions: The findings mostly align with existing literature, underscoring the importance of communication, trust, and a personal patient-dentist relationship in promoting satisfaction and loyalty. However, they also show that local, generally not reported factors might be at play, which necessitates dentists’ awareness and consideration of the local context for optimal outcomes.
