The area is close to the Tisza River and the Hortobágy National Park. The area can be divided into two parts by the river: an area of sand dunes, and a flood plain. Changes were detected using cadastral maps; the oldest maps contain individual properties like boundaries, rivers, and land use types. We built a database with the changes of the last few decades. We also involved the CORINE Land Cover database The conclusion is that the area had relevant changes in the last few decades.
