	abstract = {A primer hypothyreosisos betegek mindennapos szubsztitúciós kezelése levotiroxinnal történik, mely a perifériás szövetekben trijód-tironinná, az aktív pajzsmirigyhormonná alakul. Noha ez a hormonszubsztitúció jótékony hatású, a betegek egy része a normális szérum-TSH-szint ellenére továbbra is hypothyreosisra utaló tünetekről panaszkodik. Van olyan vélemény is, mely szerint a tiroxinhoz adott trijód-tironin javítja ezen panaszokat. Ez idáig azonban nincsen egyértelmű bizonyíték arra, hogy a fiziológiás tiroxin és trijód-tironin kombinált kezelés előnyösebb lenne az egymagában adott tiroxinnál, bár a betegek egy része előnyben részesíti a kombinált kezelési formát. Ezt a kérdést tárgyalja a szerző részletesen és kiemeli, hogy ennek a tisztázására a továbbiakban vizsgálatokra van szükség. Amíg nem bizonyították be egyértelműen a tiroxin + trijód-tironin kombinált kezelés előnyét, addig a levotiroxin-szubsztitúció tekinthető a hypothyreosis legjobb kezelési formájának.},

	abstract = {Overt hypothyroidism predisposes to the development of atherosclerosis. Recent data indicate that subclinical hypothyroidism is also associated with enhanced risk for arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which could be attributed to multiple mechanisms such as hyperlipidemia, hypercoagulable state, direct effects on vascular smooth muscle or endothelial dysfunction. The relationship between subclinical hypothyroidism and atherosclerosis is, however, still ambiguous. The elucidation of this problem is important as subclinical hypothyroidism is a relatively common condition, and if necessary early T4 substitution therapy given to adequately selected patients could prevent the development of atherosclerosis. In the reflection of recent literature this article deals with the probable mechanisms responsible for the presumed accelerated arteriosclerosis in subclinical hypothyroidism.},
