In addition to expected economic output, the index takes into account the level of human and technical infrastructure affecting the quality of life of the population, as well as environmental impacts. The autoregressive model used in the study is a single-sector model with panel data and considers the path dependence of the projected changes and the risks from external shocks. The latter are incorporated into the projections using expert estimates. The aim of the current work is to analyse the development path of four Central-Eastern-European countries and create short term forecast for their development. Materials and methods: The authors discuss and test an autoregressive model for short-run, ex-ante assessment of spatial development using data from four CEE countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary). Results: The research shows that the initial (1995-2021) development trajectories of the countries were still determined by the shocks of the transition period that started after 1990. The analysis shows that further development is essentially determined by inflationary pressures and changes in fiscal and monetary conditions. Conclusions: The analysis shows that after a recovery period of 1.5-2 years, the countries could be back on the path of development from 2024 but starting from a lower level and at a more modest pace.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2451-182X}, pages = {147-170}, orcid-numbers = {Szendi, Dóra/0000-0003-0010-9949} } @article{MTMT:33827053, title = {Quo Vadis, Market Economy? The forced abstraction of these models, as well as the fact that economic policies have been dominated by deregulation and liberalization resulted in a situation where markets have not been able to handle crises properly, and they themselves have become the causes of them. In this study, the author claims that there is a solution: a sustainable market economy, based on the reintegration of value orientation into market processes. In other words, a paradigm shift is needed with sustainability in its focus. But sustainability is just a buzzword, as long as we fail to realize the fact that we have limited room for manoeuvre in society and economy, and we cannot do everything we would otherwise have the opportunity to do. Knowing this, we can state it with certainty that only those nations will be successful in the 21st century that find the path to a sustainable market economy and are able to follow it. The model outlined by the author suggests directions for implementing this idea.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {2064-8278}, pages = {9-28} } @article{MTMT:33748273, title = {Quo vadis, piacgazdaság?
