The population studied were the people of Hungary. The organisations publishing the source indices of the study took representative samples of the population. The authors used data available from public sources on the internet for their study. They analysed time series data of two indices of corruption perception and two indices measuring financial culture and inclusion. The data from secondary sources were analysed applying statistical methods. They surveyed the correlation between corruption indices, the connection between the two financial indices and also the links of corruption and financial indices. The findings of the study prove there is a close positive correlation between the indices measuring financial inclusion. The findings of indices measuring corruption are less compatible. Corruption indices relying more on statistics and less on subjective opinions and indices of financial inclusion have also provided positive correlation. Our findings offer practical benefits: corruption sensitivity can not only improve through legal means or by increasing prosperity but also by spreading economic knowledge and providing a larger group of people with access to financial services. The research examines the relationship between corruption and financial inclusion in Hungary and Mexico using public databases. The corruption situation is presented by Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index, and financial inclusion by data from the World Bank's Global Findex report. From the time series data of Hungary and Mexico, statistical methods can be used to examine the development of performances and the relationship between the two indices. Financial inclusion slowed down in both countries during the period under review, and the perception of corruption also decreased. This suggests that there may be a correlation between the two indicators, which is also supported by literature data. The two countries have not been compared in this way before. The fact that the study only focuses on two countries limits the usability of the results. The present investigation was a pilot study, the purpose of which was to lay the foundation for an international study. Our study investigates, as a case study, whether a survey and preparation work based on the maturity assessment method can shorten the implementation time of a data asset, estimated at 1 to 1.5 years, to 7 months in a complex bank integration process. The results were backtested one year after the work was completed, so all the effects could be evaluated. It can be concluded that the application of the methodology described in the study has had a positive impact not only on time requirements, but also on business, digitalisation and technological objectives. Abstract: Eng: The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between corruption and financial inclusion. Corruption is almost as old as the history of mankind, and is still present in everyday life. There are many sources available on the corruption situation in the countries of the world. One of the most well-known of these, Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index, is used by the authors in this study. Based on the data of the time series between Hungary and Mexico between 2009-2022, the authors examine the evolution of the performance provided by statistical methods. They also examine the performance in financial involvement in both countries using data from the World Bank Global Findex Report. Using these two indicators, the authors are looking for an answer to whether there is a correlation between corruption and financial literacy and what factors influence it. During the examined period, Hungarian performance in the field of financial literacy decreased, and the perception of corruption also decreased. This suggests that there is no direct correlation between the two indicators, which is also supported by literature data. A világ országaiban tapasztalható korrupciós helyzetről számos forrás áll rendelkezésre. Ezek közül az egyik legismertebbet, a Transparency International korrupcióészlelési indexét használják a szerzők ebben a tanulmányban. A szerzők a Magyarország és Mexikó közötti 2009-2022 közötti idősor adatai alapján statisztikai módszerekkel vizsgálják a teljesítmény alakulását. Mindkét országban megvizsgálják a pénzügyi szerepvállalás teljesítményét a Világbank Global Findex jelentésének adatai alapján. Korunk egyik nagy kihívását a fejlődő kibertérben történő pénzmosási tevékenység jelenti.
