It is shown that the obtained set of ODEs can be formally represented as a compartmental kinetic system with a strongly connected reaction graph. This allows the application of the theory of nonnegative and compartmental systems for the qualitative analysis of the approximating dynamics. In this framework, it is straightforward to show the existence, uniqueness and stability of equilibria. Moreover, the computation of the stationary probability distribution can be traced back to the solution of linear equations. The discretization scheme is presented for one and multiple dimensional models separately. Illustrative computational examples show the precision of the approach, and good agreement with previous results in the literature.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1522-9602}, orcid-numbers = {Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} } @article{MTMT:34463676, title = {Large time behavior of nonautonomous linear differential equations with Kirchhoff coefficients}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34463676}, author = {Diblík, J and Pituk, Mihály and Szederkényi, Gábor}, doi = {10.1016/j.automatica.2023.111473}, journal-iso = {AUTOMATICA}, journal = {AUTOMATICA}, volume = {161}, unique-id = {34463676}, issn = {0005-1098}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1873-2836}, orcid-numbers = {Diblík, J/0000-0001-5009-316X; Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} } @article{MTMT:34415352, title = {The Traffic Reaction Model: A kinetic compartmental approach to road traffic modeling}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34415352}, author = {Pereira, M and Kulcsar, Balazs and Lipták, György and Kovács, Mihály and Szederkényi, Gábor}, doi = {10.1016/j.trc.2023.104435}, journal-iso = {TRANSPORT RES C-EMER}, journal = {TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH PART C-EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES}, volume = {158}, unique-id = {34415352}, issn = {0968-090X}, year = {2024}, eissn = {1879-2359}, orcid-numbers = {Pereira, M/0000-0002-7899-2690; Kovács, Mihály/0000-0001-7977-9114; Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} } @CONFERENCE{MTMT:34681849, title = {PanSim: A Performance-Portable Agent Based Model}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34681849}, author = {Reguly, István Zoltán and Keömley-Horváth, Bence and Szederkényi, Gábor and Csikász-Nagy, Attila}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis, SC 2023}, unique-id = {34681849}, year = {2023}, pages = {1-2}, orcid-numbers = {Reguly, István Zoltán/0000-0002-4385-4204; Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089; Csikász-Nagy, Attila/0000-0002-2919-5601} } @inbook{MTMT:34244778, title = {Reference Tracking Control of a Nonlinear Epidemiological Model with State Estimation}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34244778}, author = {Csutak, Balázs and Szederkényi, Gábor}, booktitle = {2023 9th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)}, doi = {10.1109/CoDIT58514.2023.10284317}, unique-id = {34244778}, year = {2023}, pages = {2311-2316}, orcid-numbers = {Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} } @inproceedings{MTMT:34193722, title = {Linearization based robust reference tracking control of a compartmental epidemiological model}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34193722}, author = {Csutak, Balázs and Jenei, K.M. and Szederkényi, Gábor}, booktitle = {24th International Conference on Process Control, PC 2023}, doi = {10.1109/PC58330.2023.10217568}, unique-id = {34193722}, year = {2023}, pages = {66-71}, orcid-numbers = {Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} } @article{MTMT:34167311, title = {Modeling and control of networked kinetic systems with delayed interconnections}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34167311}, author = {Márton, Lőrinc and Szederkényi, Gábor and Hangos, Katalin}, doi = {10.1016/j.jprocont.2023.103084}, journal-iso = {J PROCESS CONTR}, journal = {JOURNAL OF PROCESS CONTROL}, volume = {130}, unique-id = {34167311}, issn = {0959-1524}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1873-2771}, orcid-numbers = {Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089; Hangos, Katalin/0000-0003-0437-2787} } @inproceedings{MTMT:34148137, title = {Quantifying and comparing the impact of combinations of non-pharmaceutical interventions on the spread of COVID-19}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34148137}, author = {Horváth, Gergely and Szederkényi, Gábor and Reguly, István Zoltán}, booktitle = {2023 31st Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED)}, doi = {10.1109/MED59994.2023.10185817}, unique-id = {34148137}, year = {2023}, pages = {1010-1015}, orcid-numbers = {Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089; Reguly, István Zoltán/0000-0002-4385-4204} } @article{MTMT:34063510, title = {Persistence and stability of generalized ribosome flow models with time-varying transition rates}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34063510}, author = {Vághy, Mihály András and Szederkényi, Gábor}, doi = {10.1371/journal.pone.0288148}, journal-iso = {PLOS ONE}, journal = {PLOS ONE}, volume = {18}, unique-id = {34063510}, issn = {1932-6203}, abstract = {In this paper some important qualitative dynamical properties of generalized ribosome flow models are studied. Ribosome flow models known from the literature are generalized by allowing an arbitrary directed network structure between compartments, and by assuming general time-varying rate functions corresponding to the transitions. Persistence of the dynamics is shown using the chemical reaction network (CRN) representation of the system where the state variables correspond to ribosome density and the amount of free space in the compartments. The L1 contractivity of solutions is also proved in the case of periodic reaction rates having the same period. Further we prove the stability of different compartmental structures including strongly connected ones with entropy-like logarithmic Lyapunov functions through embedding the model into a weakly reversible CRN with time-varying reaction rates in a reduced state space. Moreover, it is shown that different Lyapunov functions may be assigned to the same model depending on the non-unique factorization of the reaction rates. The results are illustrated through several examples with biological meaning including the classical ribosome flow model on a ring.}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1932-6203}, orcid-numbers = {Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} } @article{MTMT:33864634, title = {Wastewater-based modeling, reconstruction, and prediction for COVID-19 outbreaks in Hungary caused by highly immune evasive variants}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33864634}, author = {Polcz, Péter and Tornai, Kálmán and Juhász, János and Cserey, György Gábor and Surján, György and Pándics, Tamás and Róka, Eszter and Vargha, Márta and Reguly, István Zoltán and Csikász-Nagy, Attila and Pongor, Sándor and Szederkényi, Gábor}, doi = {10.1016/j.watres.2023.120098}, journal-iso = {WATER RES}, journal = {WATER RESEARCH}, volume = {241}, unique-id = {33864634}, issn = {0043-1354}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1879-2448}, orcid-numbers = {Tornai, Kálmán/0000-0003-1852-0816; Surján, György/0000-0001-5836-7647; Reguly, István Zoltán/0000-0002-4385-4204; Csikász-Nagy, Attila/0000-0002-2919-5601; Szederkényi, Gábor/0000-0003-4199-6089} }
