	abstract = {The Vilnius Summit was of particular importance for NATO moving forward towards credible defence and enhanced deterrence. The Russian Federation’s actions in defiance of international law (2008 Georgia, 2014 annexation of Crimea, invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022) have radically changed the strategic and security environment. The Vilnius Summit in line with the Madrid Strategic Concept focused on the challenges, risks and threats on the eastern flank of the Alliance, the military reinforcement, strengthening and development of response capabilities have been a priority. Finland as a fully-fledged member country participated at the Vilnius Summit. This paper deals with developments in the framework of the partnership initiatives. The establishment of the NATO-Ukraine Council was one of the most important decisions taken at the summit. Furthermore, priority was given to the like-minded countries of the Asia-Pacific region, and attention has been paid to the Balkan region, the Middle East and Africa.},

	abstract = {Aim: This article aims to study NATO’s attitude towards climate change and its policies against the negative impact climate change poses. The article also aims to show how NATO’s strategic objectives are affected by current ecological challenges. Methodology: Analysing the topicality with the help of index databases, primarily using data from ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. The authors analyse and evaluate the security challenges related to NATO’s function, primarily based on security aspects of climate change, public extracts of NATO summits, materials of related action plans and world conferences, technical reports of decision-making and other bodies, as well as other publication. Findings: The security environment is undergoing a vigorous change. Despite of the fact that the global policies, migration and acts of terrorism are on the rise, economic and social consequences based on environmental damage are even more complex, armed conflicts and crises evolve – all that require NATO to respond. However, besides classic strategic objectives, NATO has to take the damaging effects of climate change, participating in the execution of sustainable development objectives, energy security, etc. into account. Thus, encouraging the military dialectics to study theoretical and practical issues of natural and social sciences, enforcing awareness-raising. It further enforces the tendency to study the adaptability and integrability of mainstream environment trends. Value: The analysing-evaluating work of the authors covers a wider spectrum of NATO’s task system, thus including unusual or not-so-well-known and not-so-popular, yet necessary topics besides the classic ones.},

	abstract = {A NATO 2030 jelentés szerint a Szövetségnek az elkövetkező évtizedben a mainál egy sokkal összetettebb stratégiai környezethez kell alkalmazkodnia. Ezt az időszakot a rendszerszintű rivalizálás visszatérése, Oroszország és Kína felemelkedése, valamint a feltörekvő és diszruptív technológiák (EDT) növekvő szerepe jellemzi, ugyanakkor fokozott transznacionális fenyegetésekkel és kockázatokkal is szembe kell néznie. A NATO 2030 jelentés jó lehetőséget nyújtott a Szövetség folyamatos megújulási képességének és a változó világhoz való alkalmazkodásának áttekintésére és a júniusi madridi történelmi elentőségű csúcsértékezlet előkészítésére. A szerző egy korábbi tanulmányában már elemezte a NATO 2030 jelentés főbb megállapításait. Jelen dolgozatában a NATO és Ukrajna stratégiai partnerségének kérdéseit vizsgálja. Az áttekintést különösen aktuálissá teszi Oroszország 2022. februári, Ukrajna elleni inváziója. Fontos kiemelni: a szerző 2021 decemberében lezárta a tanulmányát, így az azóta történt események nem képezik vizsgálat tárgyát. Ugyanakkor a Szövetség egyértelműen kinyilvánította álláspontját: a NATO elítéli Oroszország Ukrajna elleni invázióját, amely súlyosan megsérti a nemzetközi jogot, és komoly veszélyt jelent az euroatlanti biztonságra. Ugyancsak elítéli a kelet-ukrajnai szeparatista régióik elismerését, az Ukrajna elleni katonai művelet befejezésére és az erők kivonására szólította fel Oroszországot. A Szövetség támogatja Ukrajna területi integritását és szuverenitását nemzetközileg elismert határain belül.},
