The research is unique in that it examines a specific area through the lens of geography. The research shows and demonstrates that the research area of crime and transport geography is much broader than previous researches has shown. At the beginning of the study, the authors clarified the conceptual framework, as the terms “violation” and “offence” are often confused even in technical materials. The research shows which routes are the most frequently used by road hauliers in the regions under study and what type of checks have been carried out on these routes by the Transport Authorities of the Government Offices. This study gives an insight in the relationship and consistency of development strategies, in the importance and the territorial distribution of implemented projects within Interreg IV and V Hungarian-Romanian Cross-border Cooperation Programmes, that concern tourism development in Bihor. All projects regarding Bihor were categorized through content and comparative analysis based on public documentation of Interreg Programmes which contributed to establishing three main category of winner applications: tourism development projects, indirect tourism development projects and other type of projects. The county has an exceptional position due to its high share of the number of projects and the amount of gained aid within the examined programmes, although there exist multilateral territorial inequalities in the location of project partners, in the total amount of non-refundable financial support from European Regional Development Fund and in the gained aid per capita on the level of local governments of the county. Furthermore, the aim of the research is to identify the concentration of business activities based on their turnover in proportion to the population on the level of local governments using the Hoover-index method for the period of 2005–2020. Lastly, another aim is to examine the efficiency of these hospitality service providers using the Hoover index on their sales revenue in proportion to their labor force between 2005 and 2020. The time frame enabled the examination of the effects of two critical incidents: the financial crisis of 2008 and COVID-19, which impacted the activity of the examined firms in hospitality. As a result, both group of service providers showed a significant increase in number of entities, turnover, and average annual number of employees after 2014. That trend was intensively interrupted by COVID-19, which was not the case for the period of financial crisis. The significance of Oradea and Sânmartin were present as central areas regarding business activities of the examined fields, thus crucially influencing the trends of the county. In this spirit, the aim of this paper is to present the spatial distribution of sports facilities in a specific Hungarian sample area, the Észak-Alföld (Northern Great Plain) region, to point out the differences between settlements, as well as the reasons behind these differences. Data received from the local authorities and state administration bodies were used for the preparation of the study, which included the different sports facilities at the settlement level in addition to information found on the Internet. The following conclusions were drawn based on the research. First of all, it was found that the settlement size significantly influences the spatial distribution of sports facilities, inter alia, larger settlements with larger populations boast increased demand and higher purchasing power and also have more enhanced and more diverse sports infrastructure. Secondly, in the case of competitive sports, the size of settlements is less relevant; there are only insignificant differences between the settlements of different sizes. This can be explained by the fact that almost all settlements have their own football pitch. Thirdly, the administrative role of the settlements was also found to be significant since settlements being on higher levels of the hierarchy (district centres, county seats) always have better facilities.}, keywords = {SPORTS facilities; Spatial characteristics; Northern Great Plain region settlements}, year = {2022}, orcid-numbers = {Kozma, Gábor/0000-0001-5242-3580; Czimre, Klára/0000-0002-6634-7619} } @article{MTMT:32855668, title = {The Role of Sports Facilities in the Regeneration of Green Areas of Cities in Historial View: The Case Study of Great Forest Stadium in Debrecen, Hungary}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32855668}, author = {Kozma, Gábor and Radics, Zsolt and Teperics, Károly}, doi = {10.3390/buildings12060714}, journal-iso = {BUILDINGS-BASEL}, journal = {BUILDINGS}, volume = {12}, unique-id = {32855668}, year = {2022}, eissn = {2075-5309} } @inbook{MTMT:32490563, title = {Automotive Production Networks: an Economic Dimension of Intraregional Cooperation in East-Central Europe}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32490563}, author = {Molnár, Ernő and Radics, Zsolt}, booktitle = {Europe in a changing world : opportunities and challenges}, unique-id = {32490563}, year = {2021}, pages = {265-280} } @article{MTMT:31629028, title = {Assessing the Public Knowledge Structure Towards Renewable Energy Sources in Hungary}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/31629028}, author = {Szabó, György Emőd and Fazekas, István and Radics, Zsolt and Csorba, Péter and Patkós, Csaba and Kovács, Enikő and Tóth, Tamás and Mester, Tamás and Szabó, Loránd}, journal-iso = {INT J RENEWABLE ENERG RES}, journal = {INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF RENEWABLE ENERGY RESEARCH}, volume = {10}, unique-id = {31629028}, issn = {1309-0127}, year = {2020}, eissn = {1309-0127}, pages = {1476-1486}, orcid-numbers = {Fazekas, István/0000-0001-7973-9454; Szabó, Loránd/0000-0001-7105-715X} } @book{MTMT:31615366, title = {Kisatlasz a dualizmus kori Magyarország regionális társadalmi-gazdasági folyamatainak tanulmányozásához (1869-1910) / A Historical Geographical Atlas of Hungary for the Analysis of Socio-Economic Phenomena (1869-1910)}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/31615366}, isbn = {9786150008196}, author = {Demeter, Gábor and Németh, Gábor and Szulovszky, János and Bottlik, Zsolt and Frisnyák, Zsuzsa and Nagy, Béla and Beluszky, Pál and Radics, Zsolt and Nagy, Marianna and Jakobi, Ákos and Pénzes, János and Pap, József and Kollányi, László and Konkoly-Gyuró, Éva and Balázs, Pál and Szalkai, Gábor}, publisher = {Kapitális Kft}, unique-id = {31615366}, year = {2020}, orcid-numbers = {Bottlik, Zsolt/0000-0003-0337-5580; Jakobi, Ákos/0000-0001-9624-7785; Pénzes, János/0000-0002-4870-087X; Balázs, Pál/0000-0001-8251-5718; Szalkai, Gábor/0000-0002-8158-2983} }
