Despite these risks, research on how teachers intervene is limited, yet this study sheds light on intervention methods perceived by future teachers who are in a critical period of professional development. Therefore, this study aimed to translate, adapt, and validate The Handling Bullying Questionnaire (HBQ) among physical education teacher candidates (PETC) in Hungary. A total 170 PETC completed the HBQ that measures the likelihood of using the strategies in a hypothetical bullying scenario. Linguistic adaptation was carried out using the back-translation technique. Exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability analysis are used to examine the structure of the scale. Based on exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, a construct with 22 items and 5 factors replicated the same measurement results with the previous studies. The scale explains 58.82% of the total variance. Cronbach alpha values ranged from 0.692 to 0.750. The results indicate that PETCs are not in favor of ignoring bullying but are more inclined toward authority-based strategies and involve others in the incident, while tending to work less with victim. It was determined that the strategies varied according to gender, age, and year of study. Findings indicate that Hungarian version of HBQ is a valid and reliable measurement tool for PETCS.}, year = {2026}, eissn = {1899-4849}, pages = {83-93}, orcid-numbers = {Temiz, Ceren Nur/0000-0001-9323-1008; Ersoy, Kübra/0000-0003-1683-8281; Szekeres, Diána/0000-0002-3442-5045; Gáldiné Gál, Andrea/0000-0001-6044-7945} } @article{MTMT:37108199, title = {From Physical to Cyberbullying : A Multidimensional Analysis of PE Teacher Candidates’ Perceptions and Intervention Intentions}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/37108199}, author = {Temiz, Ceren Nur}, journal-iso = {SPRINT SPORTS RES INT}, journal = {SPRINT - SPORTS RESEARCH INTERNATIONAL}, volume = {3}, unique-id = {37108199}, issn = {3057-8760}, year = {2026}, eissn = {3057-8779}, pages = {41-42}, orcid-numbers = {Temiz, Ceren Nur/0000-0001-9323-1008} } @article{MTMT:37326964, title = {Bullying, abúzus prevenció és nevelési stílusok}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/37326964}, author = {Soós, István and Temiz, Ceren Nur and Farkas, Judit and Szekeres, Diána}, journal-iso = {M SPORTTUD SZLE}, journal = {MAGYAR SPORTTUDOMÁNYI SZEMLE}, volume = {27}, unique-id = {37326964}, issn = {1586-5428}, year = {2026}, pages = {107-108}, orcid-numbers = {Temiz, Ceren Nur/0000-0001-9323-1008; Szekeres, Diána/0000-0002-3442-5045} } @article{MTMT:36115647, title = {Preservice physical education teacher's self-efficacy: A cross-cultural comparative study in Türkiye and Hungary}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36115647}, author = {Temiz, Ceren Nur and Sivrikaya, Ahmet Haktan and Soós, István}, doi = {10.1556/063.2025.00377}, journal-iso = {HERJ}, journal = {HUNGARIAN EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH JOURNAL (HERJ)}, volume = {15}, unique-id = {36115647}, issn = {2062-9605}, abstract = {This study aimed to determine the teaching self-efficacy of Hungarian and Turkish preservice physical education teachers (PrePETs) and to identify the similarities and differences between two countries with different educational systems in the context of demographic factors. Research indicates that self-efficacy (SE) is critical to preservice teachers' ability to cope with challenges, their professional development, and effective performance and teaching practices. Although there is numerous research on SE, studies on PrePETs remain under-represented, especially in cross-national studies. Therefore, a cross-sectional survey design was employed involving o 107 Hungarian and Turkish PrePET. Data were collected using the Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale and the Demographic Questionnaire. The results revealed that both Turkish and Hungarian PrePETs showed higher SE with no significant differences observed based on gender, GPA, age, or country. However, teaching experience was a statistically differentiating factor while it has a positive, modest correlation with Turkish candidates, it had a negative, weak correlation among Hungarian candidates. The findings of the study highlight the role of teaching experience in shaping SE while highlighting similar and different factors influencing SE. By addressing these differences and similarities, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of SE beliefs in cross cultural context.}, year = {2025}, eissn = {2064-2199}, pages = {549-567}, orcid-numbers = {Temiz, Ceren Nur/0000-0001-9323-1008; Sivrikaya, Ahmet Haktan/0000-0003-3452-6855} } @article{MTMT:36115869, title = {Spor Bilimlerinde Eğitimde Araştırma Yöntemleri Dersine Yönelik Öğrenci Görüşleri}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36115869}, author = {Temiz, Ceren Nur and Sivrikaya, Ahmet Haktan}, journal-iso = {Uluslararası Bozok Spor Bilimleri Dergisi}, journal = {Uluslararası Bozok Spor Bilimleri Dergisi}, volume = {6}, unique-id = {36115869}, abstract = {Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğrencilerin Eğitimde Araştırma Yöntemleri dersine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Therefore, teachers' interventions and awareness are critical. To create effective anti-bullying programs for teacher candidates, this study examined the impact of personal responsibility (PR) and social responsibility (SR) on attitudes towards bullying. It also highlights the possible effects of gender, year of study, and teaching experience. A total of 164 Hungarian physical education teacher candidates (PETCS) studying in the 3rd to 5th years completed questionnaires. The majority of PETCs had a high level of positive bullying attitudes, PR, and SR. While there were significant differences in bullying attitudes at gender and year of study, no differences were found in teaching experience. A significantly strong relationship was found between SR and various attitude sub-dimensions. Analyses showed a predictive effect of SR, gender, and year of study on several bullying attitudes, while PR did not show any significant effect. Since attitudes are an important factor in creating a safe classroom environment, the focus of preventive and educational programs against bullying should include developing SR.}, year = {2025}, eissn = {1803-1617}, pages = {176-187}, orcid-numbers = {Temiz, Ceren Nur/0000-0001-9323-1008} } @CONFERENCE{MTMT:36478022, title = {An intercultural perspective on teacher self-efficacy: the case of Türkiye and Hungary}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/36478022}, author = {Temiz, Ceren Nur and Sivrikaya, Almet Haktan and Soós, István}, booktitle = {Új tendenciák a sporttudományokban : 54.
