It is often required to determine the Young's modulus on various products of specific shapes. This is, for example the case of grinding wheels. Fortunately, they have a fairly simple shape and therefore can be used as specimens. Vibration of thin homogeneous circular plates has been described previously in several papers, however, the material of the plates was considered as lossless.
