Competitive young swimmers (n = 54, 13.9 ± 1.79 years) were divided into experimental group and control group and both groups performed their usual swimming training. In addition, the experimental group performed a 24-week-long whole-body posture correction program. Before and after the implemented training, whole-body posture was analyzed using the PostureScreen (version 13.7) mobile application, and subjective intensity of pain was determined using the swimmer’s functional pain scale. Significant changes were found between the two groups in numerous measured postural parameters. A significant reduction in the prevalence of shoulder pain and score of the pain scale was observed after the posture correction program in the experimental group. Our results may imply that more optimal biomechanical conditions may indirectly reduce the incidence of swimmer’s shoulder in terms of prevention. Analysis and monitoring of body posture of swimmers using an on-field mobile application continuously, and the application of preventive training programs, may help to avoid developing injuries.}, year = {2024}, eissn = {2076-3417}, orcid-numbers = {Tékus, Éva/0000-0002-3608-5312; Fekete, Judit Diána/0009-0004-6860-369X} } @article{MTMT:33708351, title = {Kinematics and muscle activity of the lower limb during single-leg stance on the two sides of the Togu Jumper}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/33708351}, author = {Mayer, Petra and Sebesi, Balázs and Vadász, Kitty and Laczkó, József and Zentai, Norbert and Balázs, Bence and Váczi, Márk}, doi = {10.3389/fphys.2023.1049035}, journal-iso = {FRONT PHYSIOL}, journal = {FRONTIERS IN PHYSIOLOGY}, volume = {14}, unique-id = {33708351}, year = {2023}, eissn = {1664-042X}, orcid-numbers = {Sebesi, Balázs/0000-0002-7786-0469} } @article{MTMT:34498324, title = {Spaszticitás Pendulum teszttel való mérésének függése a testhelyzettől és a teszt indításának módjától}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34498324}, author = {Mayer, Petra and Bodor, András and Laczkó, József and Zentai, Norbert}, journal-iso = {REHABILITÁCIÓ}, journal = {REHABILITÁCIÓ: A MAGYAR REHABILITÁCIÓS TÁRSASÁG FOLYÓIRATA}, volume = {33}, unique-id = {34498324}, issn = {0866-479X}, year = {2023}, pages = {55} } @article{MTMT:34498338, title = {Spaszticitás mérése mozgásanalizáló készülékkel éptestű és gerincvelősérült alanyoknál}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/34498338}, author = {Mayer, Petra and Bartók, Hajnal and Zentai, Norbert and Radeleczki, Balázs and Percze-Mravcsik, Mariann}, journal-iso = {REHABILITÁCIÓ}, journal = {REHABILITÁCIÓ: A MAGYAR REHABILITÁCIÓS TÁRSASÁG FOLYÓIRATA}, volume = {32}, unique-id = {34498338}, issn = {0866-479X}, year = {2022}, pages = {49} } @article{MTMT:32145487, title = {The Indirect Role of Gluteus Medius Muscle in Knee Joint Stability during Unilateral Vertical Jump and Landing on Unstable Surface in Young Trained Males}, url = {https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication/32145487}, author = {Sebesi, Balázs and Fésüs, Ádám and Varga, Mátyás and Atlasz, Tamás and Vadász, Kitty and Mayer, Petra and Vass, Lívia and Meszler, Balázs and Balázs, Bence and Váczi, Márk}, doi = {10.3390/app11167421}, journal-iso = {APPL SCI-BASEL}, journal = {APPLIED SCIENCES-BASEL}, volume = {11}, unique-id = {32145487}, abstract = {(1) In the present investigation, we tested the hypothesis that unilateral countermovement jump performance is associated with knee joint stabilization ability during unilateral landing on unstable surface. (2) Twenty-five male sport students were tested for dynamometric knee extension and flexion, and hip abduction isometric strength. Myolectric activity of vastus lateralis and medialis, gluteus medius, and biceps femoris muscles were measured during unilateral countermovement vertical jump performed on a force plate, and during unilateral landing on unstable surface. (3) Vertical jump impulse negatively correlated with biceps femoris activation at landing. Participants with greater hip abduction force performed greater vertical jump impulse, and activated the biceps femoris less when landing on unstable surface. Furthermore, participants with smaller knee flexion/extension torque ratio increased biceps femoris/vastus medialis activation ratio at landing. (4) We conclude that hip abduction strength is an important contributor to unilateral vertical jump performance. Less information is available how gluteus medius (GM), quadratus lumborum (QL), and erector spinae lumbal part (ES) muscles are activated during unilateral jumps when the load is increased. We hypothesized that activation of these muscles are different in three load conditions. METHODS: Twenty-five subjects performed maximal voluntary hip abduction and trunk lateral flexion to obtain EMG signals from GM, QL, and ES muscles. Then subjects executed bilateral and unilateral countermovement jumps, and unilateral depth jumps, while EMG was measured in the same muscles. EMG values obtained during jumps were normalized to EMG values measured during maximal voluntary contractions. RESULTS: There was a main effect of muscle in all jump condition, showing that the most and the least activated muscles were the ES, and the GM, respectively, regardless of the jump condition. Though the mean values of EMG activities increased with greater load, the differences were not significant.
