It points out that in the period after 2010, the relationship system, built on historically stable foundations, has reached a new, higher level: Hungary consciously positions itself as China's European foothold, while the volume of bilateral merchandise trade is increasing and its structure is diversifying; at the same time, the trade balance tilts asymmetrically in favour of China. A kutatás célja annak feltárása volt, hogy milyen tényezők segíthetik a vállalatokat az Ipar 4.0 megoldások hatékony alkalmazásában, és milyen támogatásra van szükségük ehhez a felsőoktatási intézmények részéről. Kína jelenlegi külpolitikai és -gazdasági koncepcióját hagyományos hálózati szemlélet is formálja. Ennek alapján Kína nemzetközi kapcsolatai is a kölcsönös előnyök hálózatát igyekeznek létrehozni. Az utóbbi évtizedben Magyarország, különösen Észak-Magyarország vonzó célponttá vált a kínai befektetők számára, akik az innováció, gyártás és technológia területén keresik a lehetőségeket. A Miskolci Egyetem a helyi gazdasági fejlődés elősegítőjeként fontos partnere lehet a kelet-ázsiai üzletembereknek. A szerzők cikkükben a hazai közvélemény tájékoztatása céljából a kínai hálózatparadigma történelmi fejlődéséről, főbb jegyeiről értekeznek. Emellett az országos és a helyi (miskolci) eredményeket igyekeznek számba venni, primer és szekunder forrásokra építve.
