	abstract = {Our point of departure is Givón’s (2017) hypothesis that the sources of the affixes of pronominal agreement in person and number are the corresponding independent pronouns, and depending on whether the given type of agreement is diachronically young or old in a language, the etymological link to independent pronouns is highly transparent or rather tenuous. We claim, first, that the Nilo-Saharan Luo language serves as a better illustration of the ‘diachronically young’ type than Givón’s (1976, 2017) own poster-child examples. Hungarian, however, belongs to the ‘diachronically old’ type. Nevertheless, the synchronic system of Hungarian can be claimed to preserve the distinguished role of the pronominal basis in a strange but surprisingly regular way. We also illustrate two promising directions of future research concerning the expansion of the basic, personal-pronoun related, agreement markers. Their widespread proliferation in the morphology of several categories in all Uralic languages is itself obviously worth systematic comparative descriptive research, in the background of which it promises high-level explanatory adequacy to apply the morphosyntactic theory of person-hierarchy sensitive languages, especially to the analysis of such puzzling expressions as, for instance, engem ‘me’ (literally, ‘my-me’).},

	abstract = {A tanulmány gondolatmenete két szálon fut, ahogy a kettős címe is utal rá. Az egyik szál az illokúciós aktusok természetének, illetőleg a mondattípusokhoz fűződő kapcsolatának az áttekintéséből indul ki. Az előbbi területen Searle funkcionalistának/pszichologistának nevezhető szempontrendszerét helyeztük figyelmünk középpontjába (illokúciós cél/erő, perlokúciós hatás, világ–szó illesztési irány, kifejezett pszichológiai állapotok). Az utóbbi területet, ahol nyelvtipológiai és logikai–szemantikai szempontok mentén alakult ki a mondattipizálási és pragmatikai kategóriák rendszere, azzal jellemezhetjük, hogy a nyelvi forma szolgál a rendszerépítés kiindulópontjául. A másik szálon bemutatunk egy, a formális irányzatban gyökeredző, ℜeALIS nevű pragmaszemantikai megközelítést. A két szál ott fut össze, hogy azt állítjuk: a ℜeALIS – élethossziglani elmereprezentációvá kiteljesedő dinamikus megközelítéséből adódóan – kézenfekvően kínálja a pszichologista/funkcionalista megközelítés eredményeinek maradéktalan integrálását, miközben számot ad a funkcionalista beszédaktustípusok és a formalista mondattípusok kapcsolatrendszeréről.

		The paper follows two intertwined threads of thoughts, as suggested by its double title. One thread starts from an overview of the nature of illocutionary acts and their relation to sentence types. In the former area Searle’s functionalist/psychologist approach is considered (illocutionary point/force, perlocutionary effect, direction of fit between worlds and words, psychological states expressed). As for the latter area, in the literature, the classification of sentence types and pragmatic categories have been formulated based on language-typological and logical-semantics criteria; in these approaches, linguistic forms serve as the basis for system architecture. The other thread concerns the presentation of a framework called ℜeALIS, which can be characterized by its roots in the formal (pragma-)semantics tradition but its extendibility to a lifelong mind representation based on its dynamic character. The two threads will meet when claiming that ℜeALIS can plausibly integrate the results of the psychologist/functionalist approach while accounting for the inadequate relation between the functionalist system of speech act types and the formalist system of (traditional) sentence types.},
