Ugyanakkor korlátozhatja a nem szakértők esetében a megértést, a szakmai diskurzusba való bevonódást és a szakmai ismeretek hatékony használatának lehetőségeit. A szaknyelvhasználat így a tudás feletti kontrollról is szólhat, mivel a szakértők és a nem szakértők között aszimmetrikus viszonyt teremt, ezáltal a megtévesztés vagy a befolyásolás eszközévé válhat. A jelen tanulmány célja ennek a problematikának a részletes bemutatása az áljogi kommunikáció esetén keresztül. A tanulmány következtetései a terminológiai munka szerepére és perspektíváira reflektálnak a közérthető nyilvános szakmai kommunikációban a hatékony tudománykommunikációra vonatkozó megállapítások alapján.
