<abstractText>A tanulmány célja a szexuális asszertivitás jellemzőinek áttekintése, különös tekintettel a kialakulását és fejlődését befolyásoló tényezőkre, valamint a szexuális életre gyakorolt hatásaira. Az áttekintés kiterjed a szexuális asszertivitás különböző fogalmi meghatározásaira, kiemelve a három központi komponensét. A szexualitással és párkapcsolatokkal összefüggésben megállapítható pozitív hatásokkal és védőfaktorokkal szintén kiemelt kérdésként foglalkozunk. A nemi szerepek hatását vizsgálva megállapítható, hogy nők és férfiak különböző nézőponttal rendelkeznek a szexuális asszertivitásról, azonban ennek kialakulását illetően nincs konszenzus a szakirodalomban. Ezzel egyetemben a szexuális asszertivitás mérésének igénye is változatos módszerek kialakulását eredményezte. Bár a mérőeszközök az összes komponenst érintik és vizsgálják, elsősorban nők számára vannak kifejlesztve, ezzel egy hiátust hagyva a férfiakra irányuló kutatások területén.</abstractText>
