I have been actively observing the processes related to Transylvanian fashion for more than six years, during which time it was obvious that we need to discuss separately the development, visibility, and possibilities of the Hungarian and Romanian fashion worlds In: Transylvania. Although they meet at some points, they travel on parallel paths. In: my presentation, I would like to present In: general terms and with the help of a few highlighted examples the possibilities of the young Hungarian fashion designers In: Transylvania, and I would also like to give an idea of the currently known and recognized representatives of the industry, thereby trying to outline a comprehensive picture of the current fashion situation In: Transylvania.With the help of a series of interviews, I collected data that helps form a picture of the current situation, I asked fashion designers and creative creators about their experiences. Their answers not only help to map the prospects of the region's industry, but also, since fashion captures the imprints of our culture, we can also conclude from the answers received how informed the Transylvanian public is, what its needs are, and what kind of visual culture it has. I am looking for answers to the questions, what is the primary influencing factor, what forms the basis of the value system of the designers here and how can it emerge on the contemporary Transylvanian fashion scene? Does it even have a right to exist?
