This legal framework and permissive practice was, of course, not limited to Yugoslavia, but still affects its successor states today. In the context of my study, I will review the abortion legislation of three such successor states - Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. It can be seen that these states, although they started from a common basis, are now in different places, as a result of a number of factors.
