A kora gyermekkori neveléstől a köznevelésen át a felsőoktatásig mindenütt jelen van. Tanulmányunk megpróbálja feltárni azokat a sajátosságait, amelyek alkalmassá teszik erre a generációkon átívelő szerepkörre. Teszi ezt elsősorban a Nyíregyházi Egyetem kontextusába ágyazva, hiszen az intézmény tevékeny szerepet vállalt abban, hogy ezt a tevékenység-központú, a játékpedagógiával és az élménypedagógiával egyaránt kapcsolatban álló módszert megismertesse, elterjessze, és a használatával összefüggő kutatásokat végezzen. Írásunk kitér a LEGO-eszközökkel való tanításban rejlő lehetőségekre, külön számba véve a hagyományos LEGO-elemeknek és a tematikus eszközkészleteknek a fejlesztési potenciálját, miközben hangsúlyozza a módszer elsődlegességét. Rávilágít a STEM területek és a robotika fontosságára, majd bemutatja a LEGOmódszernek és egy, számtalan iskolába bevezetett módszertani megújulást jelentő programnak (Komplex Alapprogram) az érintkezési pontjait. Mérleget vonva, ugyanakkor a jövőbe mutatva szeretne érvelni amellett, hogy a 21. századi magyar köznevelésnek meghatározó tényezőjét láthatjuk a LEGO-módszerben. ABSTRACT LEGO® plays an increasingly prominent role in today's education. It is present everywhere, from early childhood education to public education to higher education. Our study tries to reveal the characteristics that make it suitable for this intergenerational role. It does this primarily within the context of theUniversity of Nyíregyháza since the institution has taken an active role in introducing and disseminating this activity-oriented method, which is related to both playful learning and experiential education, and conducts research related to its use. Our article interpret the possibilities in teaching with LEGO-tools, taking into account the development potential of traditional LEGO-elements and thematic tool sets, while emphasizing the primacy of the method. It highlights the importance of STEM fields and robotics, and then presents the points of contact between LEGO-method and a methodological renewal program introduced in countless schools (Komplex Basic Program).
