The research indicates that the transformative role of digital technologies is slightly stronger than medium, while the results of digital transformation are starting to pay off. The survey found a significant difference in how the business and IT sides of each organisation perceived the role of digital technologies. The most popular current and near-future developments are cloud, mobile, and AI projects. Analysis of the relationship between business and IT strategy reveals the trend that IT is increasingly moving from a partner role to an executor role. Organisations face several challenges: The scarcity of transformation resources, the availability of appropriate expertise, and challenges related to organisational data assets.
