Ezek a rendszerszintű, azaz társadalmi és gazdasági okokra visszavezethető káros folyamatok az egyén számára befolyásolhatatlannak tűnnek. Joggal érezheti magát az ember becsapva, kihasználva és kiszolgáltatva, ezért érthető a szorongása (klímaszorongás) és (ki)útkeresése. Ebben a kibontakozó világméretű testi-anyagi válságban az egyén számára a lelki életben elhanyagolt, a materialista-redukcionista életlátás által eltagadott, de keresztény hitünk szerint emberi lényegünkhöz tartozó lelki igazságok (újra)felfedezése és megélése vigaszt nyújthat és megoldást is jelenthet. A tanulmány végkövetkeztetése, hogy az élete tartalmát és értelmét lelki gazdagságban megtaláló ember – legyen keresztény vagy más vallású, de akár magát egy intézményes valláshoz sem soroló spirituális beállítódású ember – a legkevésbé jelent fenyegetést a környezetére – értve ezalatt a teremtett világot és emberi kapcsolatrendszerét is. | Today, environmental pollution, ecological degradation, and climate change have become widely discussed topics, as their negative effects are no longer merely future concerns but are increasingly evident in our daily lives. These harmful processes, which stem from systemic social and economic factors, may appear beyond the control of the individual. Consequently, people may feel deceived, exploited, and powerless, leading to understandable anxiety (climate anxiety) and a search for solutions or alternative pathways. In the midst of this unfolding global crisis, which primarily manifests in physical and material dimensions, individuals may find both solace and solutions in rediscovering and embracing spiritual truths – truths that have been neglected by materialist-reductionist worldviews but, according to Christian belief, are intrinsic to human nature. The conclusion of this paper is that individuals who derive meaning and fulfillment from spiritual wealth – whether they are Christians, adherents of other faiths, or spiritually inclined individuals without affiliation to an institutionalized religion – pose the least threat to their environment.
