I analyze the signs of shops, reataurants an cafés and cultural institutions, and the signs on their website sas well. I review their physical, cultural and linguistic environment, examine the means of accessibility, spelling and informativeness, and I highlight the aspect of how the signs and the overall linguistic landscape are related to linguistic discrimination. I also take into account the aspect of linguistic identity. Another aspect of my research is what kind of relationship can be found between physical and online forms of the examined linguistic landscape elements. I randomly selected one of Budapest’s traditional residential areas with high traffic. This research can be the basis of a broader research, because it can give further aspects and methods for a broader researc.
