We present the psychosomatic symptoms associated with burnout, with a particular focus on changes in sleep hygiene. Continuous workplace stress, followed by symptoms resembling burnout, leads to the release of hormones and neurotransmitters in the body that can adversely affect sleep hygiene. One of the most common symptoms associated with burnout is sleep disturbance, which manifests as insomnia, disruptions in the sleep-wake cycle, and a decline in sleep quality. These issues result in decreased efficiency, irritability, and communication problems in interpersonal relationships due to fatigue. It is important to recognize and address workplace burnout syndrome to prevent more serious consequences. Appropriate treatment can facilitate recovery, allowing employees to return to a healthy, balanced life and improving their occupational effectiveness.
