The automotive industry faces increasing pressure to adapt to rapidly changing market demands while maintaining efficiency and quality standards. Agile methodologies have gained attention to enhance flexibility, responsiveness, and innovation in automotive manufacturing and software development. This paper provides a comprehensive review of recent research trends and gaps in the application of agile methodologies within the automotive sector. We analyzed a dataset comprising articles from Scopus, Google Scholar, and Crossref, identifying key themes, such as hybrid lean-agile manufacturing, supply chain management, and automotive software development. Furthermore, we highlight emerging trends and potential areas for future research, including resilience in the automotive industry, integration of green practices, and cross-cultural perspectives.
