A kártyasorozatok, amelyek ma a kulturális örökség részét képezik, a magyar szakirodalomban jelenleg még kevésbé kutatottak. Tanulmányban elsőkörben a kártyasorozat, valamint névadója, Justus von Liebig a hazai korabeli sajtóban való megjelenését, valamint a kártyasorozatok korábbi és jelenleg elérhető adatbázisait és jellemzőit vizsgáljuk meg.
